Was difficult to get near it such was the interest. Ran with a few snags from what I saw, but completing a project of this size was bound to have them. Very impressive and it definitely drew the crowds!

A few snags? Thats an understatement…..most of the time trains werent running and when they did they kept shorting! 😡

Agreed. Most of the layout looked half finished without passengers on the platforms or even people or cars around the various other areas of the layout.

Incredible sized layout but sadly not the most reliable or scenic. Blair Athol was probably my favourite layout to see at the show along with the live steam and RC trucks.

To be fair Blair Atholl has been almost 40 years in the making so I would expect greater detail. Making Tracks has been produced in less than 4 years.

I’m sorry but my 8x4 layout is more interesting than that Pete. I’ve got cows, sheep, people, cars, windmill, houses, canals, boats, factories, rivers, anglers, birds, churches, abbeys, chimneys, cricket pitch, football pitch, stations, branch lines, trees, ponds, graves, flowers, gardens, steam engines, scrapyard, playgrounds, scout camp, canal boats, pubs and more. You need to up your game.
