@@BadNewsNate haha cheers bro! This run is becoming tough! Its wierd because the 7:39 alone was no joke, but at the same time much lower is possible. I think, going forward, we have to think about balancing the various strats based on how hard they are to perform. I think at some point we will be pushing this sub 7, but oh my god I don't know how much sanity we will have left.
@@DarkTenka gotchya...yeah I know the input, was just wondering what trick you may have been using to do it IN-FIGHT. I understand, now that it's just the 2.0 ver.
@@jshkings89 do you think speedrunners don't use glitches? If it's a part of the game and not an added or modified component from anything outside the game, it counts.
@@jshkings89 its also worth mentioning that this glitch makes the run far more complex and difficult. The alternative sub-zero speedrun is extremely slow, boring, and easy. Abusing this glitch to its maximum potential makes the speedrun far more difficult than you could possibly imagine. Its easily the hardest mortal kombat speedrun, second maybe to Liu Kang.
Not a legit rom. You're performing a fatality freeze you normally can't perform during the match and speed running while spamming it. Also, some ground sliding going on that's giving you major advantage. Too many exploits. Nah bro.
@@Vultyrex This is not a rom-hack or a pre-release/proto type. (We actually have separate leaderboards for those) This is Revision 2.0. It was a legitimate release that was in arcades for people to play. Many people actually did do the glitch in actual arcades back in the day, the short while that revision 2.0 was public. It was patched in Rev 2.1. The main speedrun leaderboard allows the use of any officially released version as the selected route for each character.
@@zzzzxxxxxz6017 lmao because that makes a difference. Sure lets gate keep any kind of competition behind $5000 worth of equipment and a degree in electrical engineering. I think anyone who says this is butthurt they spent so much money on legitimate hardware but they still can't play the game for shit.
@@zzzzxxxxxz6017 speedrunning will never be pay to win. In the case of arcade games, emulation is more legit than real hardware because it is more accessible. If you want to believe that having access to real hardware and by default, excluding your real competition is "legit", then you are delusional.
