Nah this is that one "perfect" run then there's still 34 minutes left in the video

They'll be that green line graph on the black background that shows when the time decreased. The many many tiny improvements with this run being the lowest. and then he'll just go "introducing" and the music flairs up again.

​@@derweiwurstesser4593Resort has unskippable replays for chip ins, so unfortunately any chip ins (except hole 18) would lose time. This is different from the other 3 games in the series, where chip ins do save time. So even a perfect TAS would hit the ball 21 times, just like I did in this run. That's not to say this run is perfect though, a TAS could certainly get under 4 minutes with perfect rng and many other optimizations that humans aren't capable of. Still though this run could be around 4:25 in the future as I lost time without losing shots on several holes in this run. As far as actual low score goes, a -22 is a perfect score, and -18 is the record by alnik001.

It was a great 18 but 11 to 17 was pretty lackluster

Probably more common than just plain albatross though, because that would require you to reach the green on the first shot of a par-5, which I don't think is possible.

I use yarn for virtually everything, including the 18 setup. The only thing I still use the minimap for is on 16, but that's just because I'm stuck in my ways, I'm sure yarn is universally better (once you're used to it) but I'm just used to aiming with the minimap with N or SW on 16. The 18 setup is slightly different for different directions, sometimes you can figure out roughly which direction it is before you hit your first shot, but you can only really see it if it's W or E. Once I can see the flag before my 2nd shot, I can usually figure out what direction it is and I can just use my yarn to aim at the flag. Some directions are worse than others, E is my favorite, N, NE, S, and SW are the worst. I was really lucky to get the alby in this run, usually the ball just bounces and stops right in front of the hole on a shot like that. I don't know what I'll run next, I'm really only "done" with special and classic 9, and even those aren't exactly permanent. 18 hole makes a lot of sense but idk if I want to do that yet, I might do Resort A, combo disc seems to save 0.4 for each 3 hole, and none of the records are on combo disc, so there's potential there

That was one of the options, but I wasn't strictly resetting for exactly these conditions. I am capable of ~4:33 without an albatross on hole 18 but that was just one of several ways to beat this record. There's also always the possibility of getting an albatross on 18 with different wind conditions, but that would almost always be way slower and much much harder than this setup. Generally with golf runs, we are very rarely playing for one exact kind of run, but rather with multiple different possibilities in mind.

This is harder than a regular -14, both because it's a speedrun, and because going in the water on hole 15 means you will be in the rough, and farther away than if you had played it normally

I'll never be able to watch it without it feeling like it took me an eternity to aim each shot 😭

It requires 0 wind, so I can't go for it every time. Any given hole has a 1/11 chance to get any given wind speed, but I reset on hole 10 if I get 0, so effectively my odds at getting 0 on 18 are 1/10. You can only get each wind speed once per round (in 9 hole) so by the time you enter hole 18, you've either used up the 0 wind for that round, or it's one of the 3 wind speeds still available, making it a 1/3 chance. I do go for it every time I get 0 wind.

That glitch only works in the original Wii sports

I made it from scratch with OBS and livesplit. Most of it was done by just having a ton of tiny livesplit sources that were cropped down to just a few numbers each (for example the one at the bottom with the segment timer and the bpt and bpe is 8 different sources) the all of the backgrounds are chroma keyed out.

@@SirTylerGolf grab wind speed with a screenshot for wind, use a PC emulating the controller for input. It's super easy to do with AI now. Neuro networks makes training a bot able to get this done in less then 4 days of play time.... Only way to tell is from the consistency of the club speed (mid swing and how it accelerated. At least for now)
