I put a wooden wall around and a prefab house on a concrete Base, and felt proud as shit.

You just fucking rebuilt civilization in Fallout 4. The sheer size of your settlements are amazing.

I felt proud of my settlements... then I saw this.

You must be the most important person in the Commonwealth by now. Sanctuary Hills looks a hundred times better than that squatterhole-favella Diamond City. Actually, most of your settlements look better than Diamond City. I only wish that there's a way to clear out debris, rubble and clumps of bushess, remove unnecessary pre-existing structures and add more green things like plants and trees and stuff. It'd be even more pretty that way.

sadly settlements dont get attacked alot and a base like yours will never really be tested,hopefully in time a mod comes out creating large attacks on your bases but ryt now they are kinda crap :( good base anyways its given me some good inspiration

Wow, great job considering this was done during the month of the game's release. I took my time since November and finally finished my version of Sanctuary today in February. This game became something of a canvas for me too. Glad to see others that shape their own version of Sanctuary.

I really like the settlement feature. I was put off at first, felt a bit overwhelmed but I always wished in Fallout 3 I could truely customise my own living quarters and now I can! Another neat feature to compliment this is now you can rotate picked up objects so you can place items in cool positions in your house

That’s incredible, man. I’m still figuring out all the building aspects of the game while trying to play. So much content to finish on top of the building which is a huge distraction for me because I also love custom bases. ... if only I had the time. Well done!

You should decorate the Pool Tables. If you go to Jack Cabot's house, he has a completely furnished Pool Table.

That's freakin' amazing. I'm only just in the game but I've been messing with my first small version of ziggurat temple buidling in my settlements ;)

If you're looking for a good spot for a large settlement project, I recommend Spectacle Island

I put railings around the stairs (not completely because what's the point in making stairs if no one can use them) because falling down them while building is a pain in the ass. Plus it keeps the NPCs from falling down them. Though sometimes it is hilarious. Too bad they can't be painted though, it'd make them much easier to spot. Can have beautiful white picket fences but have to keep railings natural.

I don't know what console you are on, but I play on PS4. I notice some of your guard posts are a little on the walkways, so here's a little tip that I do. 1. take down fences on wall, Next, You want to go alllll the way to the end under the "floor" tab until you get to the tiny 1 block floors that have no holes (you can use the ones with holes too I believe). After that, you place the two side by side so they connect together over the edge of your wall. You then set your guard post on these, (may take a little practice to make it perfect). You then remove the two small floors you placed your guard post on, and it SHOULD make it drop down a little to be leveled with your deck, it should look seamless if you do it right (no little space between the post and the deck). I tried this and every single time my villagers are able to use these posts, walk onto them, and they don't glitch! I hope this helps a little bit. For me, it peeves me a bit when it isn't "realistic" or how I like it. I haven't tried the large guard posts with this yet, but it seems to work out really well, even helping the villagers get better strikes on enemies and makes it a little harder for enemy NPC's to aim at them. Another little tip for you, is that you can place little box figures, stuff you steal, or want to display on the pre-existing shelves in homes. Villagers will sometimes pick up these items that are in reach of them, EVEN generic settlers, sometimes they don't show up in inv. Because they do not have an exact motion for "reaching" and technically those shelves aren't "shelves" but scenery, they won't take them off of there, and you can display them for all to see easily (IMMERSION)! Be careful however, if you place them too far back they will get stuck there and you won't be able to pick them back up again if you want to move them.

Fallout 4: Turn your post apocalyptic residential neighborhood into a fully operational fortress today! Also Surreal you should look and check out some of the mods related to settlements for this game. I personally downloaded one that adds a ton more building types and even allows you to use Vertibirds as decorations or small homes if you wish. And if i remember right there's a mod that removes the settler cap for your settlements so your city can become a sprawing metropolis if you so wish. Great build Surreal overall i'd hate to be the poor Raider group that tries to attack that monster.

It's incredible that you could make something that good using this game's broken base building. I've been trying to build up my settlement and I end up fighting the controls more than designing my town.

lol in my version of Sanctuary I just stuck a shitload of water purifiers in the river and put a turret on every roof. This looks even better than Diamond City, and that's an actual city created by the devs. NOw you should spawn 100 Legendary Deathclaws outside the gates and see how your defenses hold up.

You should asign the Vault-tec rep to a level 3 trade vendor and it would become a level 4 vendor with special item.

Dammmm your settlement is huge! Doesn't that much look like you maxed out you're settlement size? I've only build a couple buildings...like 3 and my size is in the gold (almost max) how the heck did you get that much stuff added in?
