"It's really fun to see an idea in my head start coming together in reality." -Riley I relate to that a lot as a guy who just finished siding my tiny house on wheels.
You could add a pulley in the winch line and do a 2:1 pull so it moves slower up and down with half the stress on the winch. Its what i do on my sxs plow 😊
When you put Ollie in the UTV in his seat, and he turns to the camera and smiles, He looks so happy! It made me smile too. Ollie is going to have a great life and you two are going to teach him soooo much! Love your channel and all the things you guys build. Thank you both. (And Ollie too!)
Patend it Riley before someone steals the idea.😁😄Love how Oliver smiles that smile when he's on Camera. Noticed you built a garage for youre vehicles to keep them out of the snow, saw the excavator sitting in the snow, and all those cars too!! Run out of space in there?. Thanks for the video Love from UK x x x
Not being mathematically inclined, I enjoy watching how you translate higher math into really cool mechanical tools! It is also refreshing to watch how setbacks only serve to spark even more creativity in your mind... because of Courtney's patient encouragement. Plus I adore little Oliver's captivating smile! 😊❤❤❤🙏
I live in Florida, so no snow here, but it is nice to the snowy scenery. Congratulations on your snowblower project, it works great! Oliver is getting big, soon he will be walking.
The projects that you can come up with when you are located in the wilderness! LOL Keep making these videos they are enlightening! Deo Gratias. Oliver is looking great!
Now, we've only talked once. I've been with y'all since the very beginning, or almost. I've watched every video you've produced since you started building the RV. I've watched his ingenuity and her creativity grow, and it has been a pleasure and an honor. Thank you for hours and hours and hours of pleasurable distraction and education, folks. RU-vid was made just for y'all. Hope I get to meet you one day, and shake your hand.
Looking forward to the battery life while moving forward and blowing wet snow. Great problem solving. Could be an application to medium sized roads and parking lots. Franchise opportunity??? Boone posted he wants to drive ... 😂
Amazing excited Riley at work, your enthusiasm shines when you have an idea, truly a Genius in my 75 year old eyes. Courtney is so wonderful with her support on Riley’s projects. Awaiting next stage. ❤️💙💙xxx
Riley, since you have a gravel driveway, maybe shorten the "lift chains" for the blowers to hold the front slightly off the ground when they're in the operational position. That way you don't need to worry as much about throwing a rock at Courtney (or a random window/windshield) while you're getting the snow out of the way.
Also thought the same. The blowers could be elevated off the ground just a hair. Pre-tensioning the chains would be easier than building spacers. Another idea is to put a pin on the front of the tire cradle for ease loading/unloading the blowers. Connect all of the wheel cradle fronts to one bar for a single pin operation. Like lowering the back gate of a trailer to drive up the gate as a ramp.
All those rocks! Ouch! They said once the driveway freezes it gets better. However, if you put each blower on the concrete floor and adjust the runners down on each side so you can slip a paint stick between the bottom scraper and the floor, the snowblower won’t eat as many rocks.
@@questionblechoices That works if what you're clearing is quite flat and pretty level. Not so much if there are lots of bumps and ridges. I found that out the hard way when clearing a "racetrack" in the snow for our dogs in the backyard, 3 rather short legged dogs that didn't appreciate having to do their business when the snow was halfway up their sides!
Riley you are so clever !!! Love the way you and Courtney work together !!! Wishing you guys all the happiness and success you and your family can handle. I so look forward to your new episodes !!!
I love watching you guys push the envelope on available gear. Not only can make your own juice with your arrays, y ou can now use it more and more for transport and cleanup. This is the future. For heat, consider heated jackets and pants, more portable too!
Woweee!! Riley, you’re amazing!! Another fun yet practical tool!! Your modifications are amazing!! On another note, how is Boone doing since his eye surgery? And, I just have to say, little Oliver has the sweetest smile!! Stay warm and safe!🥰 PS…you have so many awesome ideas, I don’t think you need any of ours. 😉
Reilly, Your welds are beautiful. Your engineering ideas and application boggles my mind. You two are a "FORCE X 10X". Let me see, you have a snow plow, a 160hp snow blower, & now you have a double barreled snow blowing machine. The only thing you lack is a "jet powered snow blower, it could blow and melt at the same time!!!!!! LOL
Once again, you have outdone yourself! But then again, most people don’t have acres to snow to move. And another note, don’t worry about waking the baby. That’s how he learns to adjust to noise! One week before our second son was born we bought our first child, a drum kit. Our second son can sleep through anything now! he’s 21 now!
Good morning from Canada, I've been watching your channel for a few years and always enjoyed them, a little hack for the snowblowers not dig into the gravel is to cut slit along a pvc pipe and sliding over the intire length of the cutting edge of the snowblowers
I always enjoy your engineering and fabrication. I appreciate that you show your mistakes and obstacles so we can see what really happens when designing something never done before. It's also nice to see how you adapt and problem solve. Also, thanks for highlighting the diesel heater. I have been considering adding one to my cutaway van that I work out of in residential construction.
I continually am amazed by your ingenuity and Courtney’s support and willingness for your experimenting to go full course. You folks are a wonderful team. Such a joy to watch
Love how you are power source agnostic in all your videos. If a fuel and electric atv makes sense, do that versus digging your heels in on one or the other and having a worse end product.
I liked seeing this come together. I Have one of those heaters too, and that green hose will leak over time, it isn’t really a fuel safe hose. They run a little better and have better reliability with a slightly more rigid fuel rated line.
Imagine how gifted little Oliver is going to grow up to be with two genius mechanical engineers as parents. What a lucky youngster ! Cant wait to see what his first build will be. Another great video yall .
lot of work and money, plus fab skills needed to make I bought a used 1994 Honda 300 4X4 with a 48 inch 15hp blower kit , about 5 years ago for $7500CDN. Got to blow about 0.5 klick of road in northern Ontario. A little hard to start at -25C but it's been very reliable so far with normal maintenance . Not bad for a 30 year old machine. Best thing to avoid most rocks is to grade road before the cold weather comes, I use a box drag
My wife and I enjoy your channel very much. I particularly enjoy all the things you build, modify or create. I told Mary (my wife) you need a milling machine and she says no you need a little girl. Haha
I believe that you should mount some 1-2” nylon blade guides to keep the blades off the gravel by a little bit to help save your gravel. I agree with another comment here too, put on a couple of pulley loops to slow the up and down speed. Great job with this project!
Riley, you amaze me with your crazy but cool projects! With a snow blower for your skid steer, and another one for the big X-army truck, you now offer up yet another way to clear snow! And little Oliver has the cutest smile, he sure is growing fast, we enjoy seeing him also.
This was an awesome unexpected project. Right up my alley. Keep it up guys and your channel will explode. Hope more subscribers find you in their algorithm.
I am sooooo envious of your ingenuity and your fabrication skills. I have neither. Having said that....if they have snow blowers for sale, I don't live in that town. Mr. Ollie's smile makes my heart smile.
Boy you are starting 2024 out with a bang to say the least!! Oliver has a mischievous grin, like wait until I'm out helping dad!! So fun to watch your channel!! Stay safe and keep the good times rolling!! A friend from afar. D
Another idea is to add weight to the rear. It will help for traction/counter balance to the added weight on the front. Might also look into wheel weights like they do for lawn tractors when people add snowblowers and plows.
