World's First Bitcoin Beach🇸🇻! (El Zonte) | First Impressions |

Just one day after the President of El Salvador officially legalized Bitcoin payments, I decided to go straight to El Zonte, otherwise known as the "Bitcoin Beach"!!
That's because in this small and beautiful fishing Village, people have been experimenting with bitcoin payments for 2 years now!!
Playa El Zonte is literally the first place in the world where people have ever used bitcoin for their daily shopping!!
I can't wait to buy something with bitcoin, to see how the whole process goes and most importantly, I'm curious to see what these locals have to say about it.I'm sure I will find different views and perspectives!!
On the one hand, this is something extremely unique in the modern economy and yes it is very exciting. On the other hand, no one really knows how much positive or negative impact it will have on the people of a country that at the end of the day all they care about is to support their family and maintain a normal standard of living!!Same as all of us!!
Only the future and history will really show us the results of such an innovation.

Given the recent collapse of the crypto market, I have so much respect for this woman for staying true to her principles in the face of massive influence from the government and the possible loss of business from tourists only wanting to use Bitcoin. Massive respect. I'm not going to say she is clairvoyant and there is no value to Bitcoin, I am not nearly educated enough on crypto to forecast what will happen to blockchain (especially since it has so much potential), but in the short term, she has staved off what could have been a massive capital loss due to the recent volatility. I will always respect free thinkers, and this woman is a stunning example of one.

You cant print btc out of thin air, theres only 21 000 000 as a supply at all time meaning it will keep going up in price no matter what in the long run, you would have to be a fool not to hord bitcoin right now. Bitcoin is still in its infancy mode because of crypto's childish get rich quick scam that is going on right now, 99% of all alt coins are just unregistered securitys, and its not decentralized, its only using the name but in true nature, those alt coins are all centralized in some shape or form. So to each their own but i will stick with bitcoin because its the only real competition to the banksters, they have no control over it and it would be their worst nightmare if more country's would ditch the monopoly fiat poopy dollar.

Bro the girl at the end has no idea what shes saying. When you accept Bitcoin you can immediately convert it into US dollars in the Chivo Wallet so you don’t risk losing any money with the volatility and fluctuations in Bitcoin. She’s just losing customers in not accepting it as a form a payment.

when you did the video the bitcoin was around $60,000, not it is around $20,000 . big change. the girl that said it was the coin of the devil was not that wrong at the end. if you don't have much money, it doesn't make sense to deal with the bitcoins. that's the reality, is not about good or bad, it is what it is. I accept bitcoins, but then I change it to US$ most of the time, maybe not now because the price is really low, I can take the risk to keep the bitcoins, but it is a risk it can go to US$9000 the next weeks.

You forgot to mention that it was $3,000 in March 2020 before it went to $60,000 just 10 months later. Now it has corrected back to $17,000 after a bear market in all assets, including the stock market. Still the best performance of any asset from 3K to 17K in just over 2 years. Bitcoin will only go up over time. Learn why it is the hardest asset and money ever created and what that means..And learn why all fiat currencies inflate to zero value over time. Educate yourself. And if you prefer to immediately convert your Bitcoin to USD, no one is stopping you if you prefer to hold that melting ice cube. Your choice.

@@veritas2145 lol yes it is, please show me one other place where it is not corrupted, you cant trust gold and silver as we can see how easy it is for government to make a call back and take all your gold and silver for paper money, they did it back in the 40's and would do it again, and try to buy something with precious metals, its impossible. Also central banks are corrupted to the core, same with other crypto's, the only thing that is a trustless decentralized system with a capped amount is bitcoin, you cant beat it. I feel bad you do not understand how great it is but hopefully one day you will !

Esa señora que dice que Bitcoin es moneda del diablo suena bien ignorante cuando dice que la persona que está esperando que suba el Bitcoin solamente va ganar $800. Si deja esos $800 puede seguir ganando mientras lo deje ahí a largo plazo. Lo mismo pasa cuando inviertes en la bolsa de valores, cuando el mercado hace mal baja un montón, pero si lo dejas sin prestarle atención al tiempo vuelve a subir. Lo que tiene que hacer uno es aguantarse y no tocarlo cuando baja. Cuando vuelve aumentar el valor del Bitcoin por encima de cómo lo compraste es cuando debes sacar. No se puede uno dejar llevar de gente que habla nomas de su experiencia, porque nuestras experiencias son parte de una decisión informada o mal informada.

Don’t understand why not just use a debit card which is tied to your bank and your cash. What’s the advantage of bitcoin? In the US your pay is directly deposited into your bank account. Rich people want to use it as it’s not tracked by the government/ IRS.
