40 years ago on Saturday 29th September, The second World's Greatest Super Friends adventure borrowed ideas from the 1978 Superman The Movie concepts starring Lex Luthor such as the hidden lair and the similar henchman, Otis (Orville). The Sun Creatures led by Helion were a typical 'no honor among thieves' moment when Luthor devises a scheme to trap the Super Friends and leave Superman without powers to challenge Luthor alone.
