I have every episode of The Superfriends on DVD. The show ran for 13 years on ABC Saturday mornings(1973-86) and it's a family show. Happy 50th Anniversary to this great program from Hanna-Barbera!!!
I have vivid memories of the original Super Friends ABC run. The World's Greatest Super Friends continued the 1-hour format but had a rerun in the first half and an all-new episode in the second half for the first 8 shows. I remember the 1st show had "Battle of the Gods" from 1978 in the first half and the second half was "Rub Three Times for Disaster".
When the Sun Creatures turned the sun red eliminating Superman s powers, he could have Green Lantern use his power ring to turn it back to yellow and restore his powers.
