gathered together from the cosmic regions of the universe are the post powerful super heroes ever assembled: Superman! Wonder Woman! Batman and Robin! Aquaman! joining forces with an array of guest stars and junior super friends between 1973 and 1985.
Each playlist is divided into categories of their adventures and battles.
Created by Hanna Barbera and National Comics (later DC) in 1973, the producers thought that introducing 'kiddie' characters would work for a Saturday morning program to teach children moralities and to solve matters peaceably.
My favorite Wonder Twin powers scene was when they had been transported into the Phantom Zone, and their respective powers had been completely nullified.
I especially like one Batman tried to save the little dog. and the little dog started looking on the Batman was like, thanks, but I haven't saved you yet.
Great powers? What powers? I have no time to explainnn... The ring, how does it work? I have no time to explainnn... Defend the Earth? Against what? I have no time to explainnn... Perfect, I'm ready!
Ive sure ive seen this episodes dozens of times but this is the 1st time i noticed the captain Nemo's chair is exactly like kirk's from the enterprise.
I have every episode of The Superfriends on DVD. The show ran for 13 years on ABC Saturday mornings(1973-86) and it's a family show. Happy 50th Anniversary to this great program from Hanna-Barbera!!!
I have vivid memories of the original Super Friends ABC run. The World's Greatest Super Friends continued the 1-hour format but had a rerun in the first half and an all-new episode in the second half for the first 8 shows. I remember the 1st show had "Battle of the Gods" from 1978 in the first half and the second half was "Rub Three Times for Disaster".
When the Sun Creatures turned the sun red eliminating Superman s powers, he could have Green Lantern use his power ring to turn it back to yellow and restore his powers.
