if i had some off these, i imagine it would go somewhat like this...charges 2 full packs for an all day bash ... breaks my car 3 minutes after arriving at location
Hi Rich! Wow, massive batteries, that's for sure. 👍👍👍 More weight is not necessary better. To be honest, it just puts more stress to all comments and especially to the tires. More weight makes acceleration slower, brake distances longer and turning harder. That's just physics. When I want to go fast, I try to keep the weight as low as possibel. The Batteries provide a lot of power, that's for sue! 😘😘😘
I have a 6s 30000mah battery as a portable UPS inside a pelican case. The thing is rated for 15C. Never needed to use the full 450A but great to know it can do it if I need to power a small city.

Yea that's not gunna contribute to power the milliamps affects the runtime of the battery. In the beginning you referenced it like it was a lot of power because the batteries were bigger but that's not the case. I appreciate the review and the batteries are decent but in my opinion highly inefficient. They weigh too much and take up too much space plus the power is low so all that weight being moved is going to kill your run time too taking that 30,000 milliamps down to probably more like 10,000 with all the weight behind those batteries.
@@AugustusMcMillan not necessarily. Depending on the weight of the vehicle you may be alright, but with a huge battery like that you have to account for the weight it adds to the overall haul. Sure it would last longer than a 5000 milliamp but not if it weighs three times as much because then it has to haul that weight.
There's always a weight hit, but you're thinking more of drones and not RC cars. It's not a direct transition from 3x weight = 3x usage. 15Amp here would probably be dragged down to 14A at most. There is some difference in having a bigger cell. It doesn't directly contribute to the the performance of the vehicle on paper, but in real world, it definitely makes a difference. When you're punching it, there's always a voltage dip. The dip of the voltage is dependent on the total capacity of the battery. Punching out on a 4A battery on an infraction would drop the voltage from 25.2V down to 23.4V. A 9A battery would maybe go from 25.2v down to 24.6V. Now your motor is running on 24.6v vs. 23.4v. There would be a speed difference there. As for the power supplied, bigger cells have lower internal resistance. 60% of a cell's internal resistance is determined by their capacity.
@@pvtchancheung Ok so you're telling me that adding ten pounds of batteries to a car isn't going to affect it to the extent I think 🤔 most rc cars and their motors are only rated for a certain amount of weight. Throwing huge betteries may not matter too much in a 1/5 scale but for anything else you're gunna take a huge hit to speed and overwork the motor
The charging solution is elementary. The answer: the iCharger 406DUO. More mah and the same same c rating on a bigger battery will give a little more punch and the battery will stay cooler... My slash will puff a 3000mah 20c but a 5000mah 20c will run no problem
Fan still fails. It’s has something to do with magnetic field. Manually spinning my wheels makes the fan motor spin. So I put thin rubber spacers in between fan and heat sink. Fans don’t cut out anymore nor do the fan spin when I turn the wheels.
Hey Rich . Do u think 3s would fit into granite blx also the 4s into Keaton 4s? I have Kraton 4s and granite blx so I'm interested in purchasing those two batteries . Have you tried them on the cars I have?I know u have a granite but not sure if I saw you playing with Kraton 4s .
you did show how you hooked up the batteries so i could only assume you took the batteries and pluged each one into each connector off the esc. thats SERIES, it does NOT double the capacity. what you had was 15000 mAh NOT 30000
Will I notice a big difference in power between the 15000mah and the 8000mah 3s bashing? I know the run time will be longer but will torque and acceleration be noticeably different ? I currently have the 3s 8000mah but debating on the 15000mah
Are you sure that you’re spinning all four wheels? My stock Arrma Felony spins its power away through whichever wheel(s) have the least load on them. Have you changed the viscosity of the differential oil at all? I’m going to try 300k in the centre diff and 50k in the front and rear to see if that improves traction.
I would like them so come out with a 4S pack. I have my felony on 8S not to mention my 8S outcast and my 8S Kraton.. Would be nice not to have to change the batteries every 15 minutes
Doing a speed test on a 15000 mah battery doesn't make a difference, it's the volts and discharge rate that makes a speed difference. You guys know the comments saying do a speed test, just watch watch video on the same car doing a speed test.
Doesn’t do any good if you have to keep testing temperatures out so you don’t burn any components out since you have such a long run time. Thanks but I’ll keep my 5800’s.
Love your RC car bro. That was my first RC a year ago. I've now got a Fellony. I just ran the stock battery with Wltoys but in sure you can squeeze a 2 or 3s in.
Those batteries are $140 each. I'll pass. I got a 9000 mah pack for my Felony and the tires wear out before i need to change the battery. Gens ace crazy expensive. 5200 mah 50c 4s battery for $75 no thanks. Now i see why they sponsor so many RU-vidrs. Almost as expensive as Spektrum batteries.
I will never reccomend Gens Ace Bashing version. One caused fire of this lipo, barely. managed to toss it outside, still no idea what caused it to set on fire...
So basically you've no idea what caused the fire (in your very own words) but you're blaming the battery......makes perfect sense.......but not to me or others. Odd as well even more so that when I recorded this they weren't for sale.....So you were testing one as well I assume, so you gave feedback to gensace???
Not 30,000mah unless it's was in parallel but based on the speed it was 6s in series wich is 15,000mah click bate he even said it was only 15,000mah test 🤣
It seems so, just like his infraction he calls 16S despite the "S" in 16S means series not cells which would make it 8S2P not 16S. Likewise he could make this a 3S2P set up which would infact make it 30,000mAh but looks like he's running in series which would make it just 6S with no parallel circuitry. Eaither way you have the same watt hours but it's eaither 6S or 30,000mAh you can't have both. I love Richie, his videos and his his builds but I wish he'd get a clue and stop insulting the intelligence of his viewers in the know or missleading new people in the hobby. Whether he is deliberately doing it for clickbait or just making a mistake he needs to wise up and stop being dishonest with his viewers.
