I have a 9010T, and it was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! It literally turned a 4 hour job into a one hour job! I highly recommend this blower to anyone with more then a 1/4 acre of lawn unless they enjoy cleaning up leaves every weekend. I don’t know about the rest of you but cleaning up leaves is not on my list of things I want to do on my day off! Wet leaves and small sticks are no problem for this machine. It gets chainsaw chips out on wet grass as well. It isn’t “overkill” by any stretch of the imagination. My only complaints with it are the gas tank is too small, the tube is too short, and I wish it had a little more power. I understand they were trying to keep the weight down as these things are used by smaller people (hence the short tube) but for someone 6ft or over it’s too short. Anyway it is a great blower and these are minor complaints I have.
As a homeowner, for decades I used to gather my leaves, and I have a lot of them. A few years ago I bought some gator blades to mulch the leaves and I will never go back. Besides, the mulch is supposed to be good for your lawn.
I was thinking of going with a Stihl Magnum BR600, but now I think I'm gonna change my choice. I've heard the Stihl BR600 can blow wet leaves into a good pile but that thing rocks.
These are the kids that in school didn't do any work and just messed around and tried to ruin other people's enjoyment. Leaf blowing is their "toy" that they get to mess around with. They should be banned.
This is probably way too big. Echo makes smaller backpack blowers, but in all honesty, a handheld would probably be the best for a 14 year old. Something like a Stihl BG50 or BG56 would be good.
