I think most folks don’t need such a small pc, but we’d like it to not take up so much space or make such a statement when you walk in the room like “I AM A PC GAMER”

speaking as someone who owns a 4.7 liter pc although with ryzen 5 5600x and rtx3060. please consider the temps and the hard labor of changing parts in it. I recently upgraded from a gtx 1070 to rtx 3060, i had to disassemble 60% of the pc just to reach the riser cabe in order to chance it out for a pcie 4.0 and then disassemble some more just to fit the graphics card.

@mateuszkask6286
@mateuszkask6286 10 месяцев назад
@@anso3886 to be fair the tdp of the 40 series GPUs is lower for most skews as compared to the 30 series. The rtx 4070 has the same tdp as the rtx 3060ti. And there was a single fan version of the 3060ti, so actually, no, not all new GPUs are running hotter.
@kornkernel2232
@kornkernel2232 10 месяцев назад
@@mateuszkask6286Yep, the newer generation is actually more efficient. It just so happens that NVIDIA and even AMD just push the hardware further to gain more performance that it runs hotter. My RTX 4070 Ti is already way better than 3080 Ti while consuming less power. The main issue really is the bad cost. Just overpriced for more than its worth.
@joemarais7683

It’s cause the 4060 has the specs of a 50 class gpu. This isn’t a good thing.
@MyouKyuubi
@MyouKyuubi 10 месяцев назад
@@anso3886 We're actually approaching the point where the "more powerful" GPU's are only liek 10% faster than the mide-range GPU's, so... The only way to go from here, is to shrink the tech, make it smaller... Who knows, maybe shrinking the tech will allow manufacturers to fuse graphics cards together like a sandwich so they can sell them as native-SLI single-unit cards, effectively doubling graphical performance. Basically, the only way to improve computer hardware from here, is to upgrade from 2 dimensional design, to 3-dimensional design... No more graphics cards, how about graphics cubes? xD

It's really amazing how miniaturization of pretty powerful desktop PC's has developed over the past few years. This build is a serious competitor to mini pc's like the Beelink GTR7 and SER7; only slightly bigger, but significantly more powerful. Great job on a very well-made video!

Unfortunately this is weaker than the same thing with a 3060Ti from 2 years ago and not that much faster than the same thing with a 2070 from 4 years ago. Maybe even slower than a 12GB 3060. And even with a 4060Ti, it would be almost the same as the 3060Ti Single fan 4070 where? (It's ~200W just like the 3060Ti/2070/1080 single fan GPUs)
@andygevedon6185
@andygevedon6185 10 месяцев назад
@@yeshwantkethineni3694 The one thing you're overlooking is the efficiency of the 4060. I built this same pc with a 12600KF (undervolted and power limited) and the GPU is powerful enough without having overly obnoxious fan noise. Of course you could go with a 3060ti, but the difference is relatively small and the cost of the 4060 is roughly $100 cheaper than the 3060ti. If you're looking to drive a 1080p or even a 1440p monitor, this will be able to handle it without a sweat. Looking for high-refresh 4K gaming? You should probably be looking at something bigger with more thermal headroom.

I have the velka 3. I have never hated doing repairs on any case more than this one. The engineering that went into it to make it small is indeed impressive, but you have to undo all of that to take it apart. To access any of the internals you have to completely disassemble the entire case... Other than that, it's fantastic. Super small and temps are great!

The Zotac 4060 Solo runs an aggressive stock fan profile. However, you can use MSI Afterburner to create a custom fan curve. I set mine to 30% up to 60C and at 50% to 80C. I overclocked the card by +150 core and +200 memory, and the card sits around 75C while in a Densium 4 case which is similar to the Velka 3.

Version 3 looks great! I bought version 2 but I had many personal problems with the build quality of the case. It gets scratched too easy and it's impossible to do proper maintainence on the case/components due to it's extremely poor assembly... I although it was a great introduction to the SFF-community, I feel like Velka 3 misses a lot of the user-friendly marks as I think cases should much prioritize when they're this small ❤

This is an awesome build man, I was looking for something like this for a while. Just one tip if I may (maybe because of the editing it looks like you didn't, but you prob did) - 4:11 - "4 provided screws..." you always want to adjust each screw in a cross like fashion. You screw one corner and go to the adjacent corner, never screw the ones that are right next to the screw you just adjusted. This helps the cooling plate of the fan sit evenly with your CPU.

But there’s only a OneSlot GPU (6400) possible to fit in - above the CPU… Also the Fan was too noisy, so I mounted a 80mm BeQuiet on a sidepanel , removed the stock GPU fan and connected the 80mm fan directly to the GPU motherboard. But you build it’s just cleaner and the smallest ever! 🎉

I really wish a manufacturer would make a case like this with room form some exhaust fans at the top. The biggest thing I've noticed in my time making tiny PC's is that having active exhaust helps so much for keeping temps and noise levels down with these smaller CPU fans. All it would take is adding an extra inch or so to the height which would barely alter the volume.

This is a good case. Here is why: A design flaw with these compact cases often is the 110/230 volt cable within the case. Not only is it dangerous that, in the worst case, 230 volts can reach the PC hardware. No, it can also cause severe disruptions, among other things. Because these cables often emit radio waves. Since I got the node 202, I know that I will never want that type of case again. However, there are also compact cases where the 230 volt cable ends at the edge of the case with either SFX or even smaller power supplies.... Guys, I recommend that you don't buy a case where the 110/230 volt cable goes through the case !

Built almost the same system (i5-13500T 13gen) a few months ago but created new sides from mesh and plexiglass frames for better cooling. I also added a QLED 1024:600 7" touch panel to the front, snaking the HDMI/USB through the case, along with 2, 1.5" full-range speakers. I also added 2, 40mm 3-wire fans to cool NVMEs and memory since it still gets quite warm in this case due to the way air is drawn down and out. 1 of my better builds at an even better bang for the buck. Hope we see a half-card 4060 16GB this year, even though the 8GB runs everything 2023, pretty well at 1080P.

Crazy how far Small builds can perform these days while keeping temp that low. One can also Cap the FPS to get that temp lower

ATX is so archaic. With systems like these that offer much of the performance of a normal midrange gaming desktop with few compromises, it doesn't make sense how computers are so damn massive still. ITX is the future.

Few things Book hotels at least 2 months in advance. Go for at least 3 star hotels. Higher the better. For food, safe and light options are "Poha" or "Idli sambhar" from hygienic places only. Or simply get a loaf of bread and get some veggies and make yourself sandwiches. Takes 10min max. From an indian who has a very weak stomach and has to be very careful about the food.

Very nice! That's a shame that there is no 4070 with a single fan on a market. 4070 would keep low power usage and temps as well if you would undervolt it.

Watched this 2 weeks ago! And I can proudly say I’ve built this system with ryzen 5600x and I love it but the the zotac solo is only loud thing on the system. Anyone got advice for making the zotac 4060 quieter??

its nice until you realize the amount of cables from the back are more visible than ever and quite bulky, that's why I like those layouts where the cables actually shoot down (or up) like the ft-03 from silverstone. no mess of cables in the back.

Got the Asus ROG Zep G14 with a 4060 for $850 on sale because its the 2023 edition. It's way more portable and has everything you need. Just add a mouse or controller.

I'm just looking for a good case this size, with a good power supply so I can build a Ryzen 8000 series machine. I'm a trucker and have currently an Intel i5 12600K + Nvidia RTX 3080Ti (I think it's on the same MOBO that you're using here; it's great!) in the Dan A4 case, but it's absolute overkill for what I do in what little downtime I have anymore. I still want power, and I like what I'm seeing with the tests of the R5 8600G that I've found, and I can't help but eat up any video like this that I can find. This is the smallest I"ll have built and the whole Flex PSU is new to me, so that's going to take some getting used to. Thanks for the vid and the awesome visuals!
