Body proportion and bone to muscle ratio seem healthy and well above average for his height and age. Would recomend a back coach because he is tending to lean forward too much even in down time. Correction of posture at this age is vital for spine alignment in adulthood, specially for athletes; healthy back = BALANCE.
Red 10 and Blue 3 are impressive. 10's moves in the post show some real maturity, including his use of his elbows and shot selection. 3 is just explosive and I love the way he uses his body to seal off his opponent when on the drive. Top-notch game!
Number 10 in red impressed me the most in this video. Just because your big, doesn't mean you're good. My HS varsity team had two legit 6'11" guys, and neither one of them played that much. One even ended up quitting halfway through the season over it. They didn't have that killer instinct or competitive edge. Give me a 6'4" killer any day of the week. I saw really no competitive edge in this guy. He will have to develop some of that fast if he's going to go to the next level and be successful.
@@SteveJobIess I think this is a game for scouts so everyone is supposed to just try and impress. Doesn't look like a regular high school game and no one got really excited at the end, or was that just half time. Isn't high school 4 periods?
@@JackSparrow-yb3lq its AAU. One big showcase. I'm pretty sure the coaches would like them to play through him but the players know that being 7'5 is a D1 scholarship no matter what he does on the Court. They rather be selfish then show they can run a offense and exploit mismatches
Hope this kid gets the right trainer, he looks like he is cordinated enough. Hopefully he strengthens up and faster. Its hard to find real tall player that aren't slow and uncoordinated. Good luck young man. Oh, and find more aggression and fire but be a team player.
Great to see a bunch of young men out there working hard, competing, and giving it all they have. I didn’t see much lollygagging out there. Lotta hustle on both teams .Big difference from what I see from the young kids at my work in terms of effort
I’m a UK guy through and through, we had a guy named Shagarri Alleyne that never panned out in spite of his massive size. Willie Cayley Stein however was quite the different story. If I remember, Stein had a strong football background that really helped with his movement and coordination. Not everyone can be successful with that height but as the father of an 18 year old athlete I would like for this young man to succeed.
Out of ll these highlights, he should have definitely gotten more touches on offense. I don't know how long he's been hooping but the coach should definitely use his size advantage.
If you're trying to actually develop basketball atheletes, training them on the most efficient methods of feeding the freakishly tall guy isn't going to pan out for very long in their careers
It looks like some are just showcasing themselves and it's not about the team game. I agree they didn't even really look to get him involved. They were just in it for themselves
I'm sure all these other kids have been playing alot longer, this guy probably has a growth spurt and basketball was obvious. He looks like he's got a really healthy body for 7'6. I'd like to see what he can do in the NBA hope his game grows and he puts the work into gaining muscle. Legs first!!
I can see this kid being a really good defensive stopper if he keeps working on his lateral quickness. Looks like he has everything in place for that development.
He’s like 14 tho. Got a ton of potential since pretty much all humans that height are either stupid thin and frail or have some weird mobility issues. He’s just gotta continue to develop his skills and work on his motor and aggression.
yeah but its hard to be that tall at a young age the muscle usually doesn't grow as fast. give him a couple years to gain strength he wont look like that. its all on the work he willing to put in.
I was surprised how coordinated the tall kid was for his size, but I'd still probably take the other teams big guy over him. Both teams had some talented kids!
@@ericd9937 It almost seems like theres a certain height limit in which your body will begin to overcompensate for as you continue to grow. You know, like a yin & yang thing. If one thing gets more, another thing gets less.
@@jeffhardy6333 allot of player's could've did what he did in his era the question is if he could've did what he did in that era in any other I would say NO based on playing against a bunch of white boys FACTS that we're probably plumbers on there full time job🤣 chew on that
No doubt! Good B-ball from both teams and good coaching, not overusing the bigs, opposition low post got tired of handling the big fella, subbed in a strong/fast power forward and burned them for a couple easy deuces. Would love to see the young man utilized at low post more often but whatever way you can get a miss match, pick and roll the easiest I suppose.
Table dude is just in the way. No shooting, no rebounds, no defense! Just a guaranteed dunk. When playing against skilled teams, someone will always have him boxed out!
@@SteveJobIess Yeah idk how people don't realize that lol his teammates clearly been in the lab way more than this kid and can move way better than him, why they gotta compensate because theres a taller than average guy on the team? When he was out the game his teammates had so much more space on the court to operate
Great potential player in the future, if he can work on mobility and strength, he just might be a great center in the NBA in the near future. Hopefully, he can go to college for at least three years and as long as he puts in the work, it'll payoff in the end.
No he is really not "player of the future." He is huge, yes, but he runs the floor slowly and doesn't have much lateral movement. He doesn't play defense at all, and at his height, he should be blocking shots all day long. He isn't good enough to play NCAA div 1 no matter "how much work he puts in." Only a complete waterhead thinks that guy will ever play in the NBA.
Players that size have a really hard time keeping not only with the up and down tempo of the NBA but because of the rule changes, moving their feet laterally and playing in space. He"d also be a foul magnet. Certainly he could have a nice career overseas somewhere where the playing style more suits his game.
He moves well for his size.. hopefully he gets muscle and dominates and makes the NBA. But red 10 was working him and his team was better when he was on the bench from the video.
🤣🤣 moves well for his size? Gtfoh, the dude is a tree with his feet planted in the paint the whole game. How do you let a 6'"4 guy out rebound you when you're 7'6"
@@Kodos2024 so Shaq had a career ending injury huh? What about Hakeem olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Do your homework before spouting off "facts"
@@chrisjeter9410 kid is still learning his body, especially with the rapid growth he was probably going through. Guy guarding him was the best guy on the court and had actual moves and to use his lower center of gravity. Let's give the kid a few years to see how he adapts. I. Just hoping he can add muscle and how to play as a big man.
@@chrisjeter9410 you are calling out people for not knowing shit and you are clearly the one who doesn’t know what they are talking about. He said players over 7’1 and not one of the players you listed are over 7’1. Not one!! But you know who was over 7’1. Yao Ming. Ralph Sampson. George Muresan. Manute Bol. Porzingis has regressed. What that person said is a fact. Most players this tall have injury problems.
What a game and the professional attitude from the players was a welcome sight to see. I'm all for strong emotional players, but make sure to respect the players who respect you and to ignore the ones that don't.
They should be throwing it to the big guy on the block and cutting to the basket. Way too much iso-hero ball. Nobody on that team is Luka, play winning team ball without caring about stats and dunks.
Every guy above 7’4 just doesn’t seem to love blocking shots 😂. If I was 7’6…. They wouldn’t be able to sell a glizzy in the nosebleeds without me getting a hand on it…. Pause.. 😂 😂
I'm 6'1 and pretty athletic for a white guy lol and my favorite thing to do was block shots. You couldn't attempt a layup or dunk without me contesting it and I would consistently block players shots all the way up to 6'9-6'10ish. Even the opposing players teammates would ooooo and ahhhh when I blocked their shots. It was the greatest feeling.
Really enjoyed watching these youth's, good game, lots of talent out there. Just on size alone the Big Man could be NBA bound. My opinion would be to keep working on aggression, play at 100 miles per hour each play..arms moving feet moving non-stop, quickness, and crash boards son. But like I said, I saw a lot of talent out there on both teams..good stuff young fella's.
That paint looking sweet! Them kids on red have no fear on taking a layup against blue. And they got a lot of more buckets than they should have down there
@@tyb.daeday6493 correct. I see people complaining about him not getting enough touches, well shit does he even deserve touches if guys are getting putbacks right in his face? And at that its very clear the guards on his team has been in the lab way more than him, if anything he slows them down. I understand why he was not in the game at the end
Blue team was all about iso play. You can tell they aren't used to using the pick and roll because big man should have ate that team alive. On the other hand, Number 10 on the team in red was decent. He gunna easily make a college roster.
Them boys were about buckets! When big man was out the game they had way more space on the court to operate. Its clear they've been in the lab way more than big man, these young kids can run let them run. Big man cannot run
Back in my day everyone was white and 5'9". Our center was the state unicorn, he was 6' 4" and a local legend. They had to change the rules and make a three point line and raise the rim to 9 to 10 feet.
Needs to seriously work on his speed up and down the court. He was basically shuffling. I ain't 7'6" so don't know what it takes to move legs that long ... but it will be a liability at next level. Coaches will give up 6" height advantage for a "plain ordinary" 7-footer who can run the court (if you ain't there, you can't block the ball).
This kid has the size of yao ming .I wonder if he could up his game any more.with slick mobility and handy gamesmanship the likes characteristic to any NBA player.in the circle ..
16 yrs old at 7'6"? He's still growing for sure. I think he's going to be 7'8" to 7'10" by 22 yrs old. Definitely a big boost for an NBA team willing to train him and give him the boost. He's a promise player for sure.
If he can get faster and more aggressive on D he’ll be pretty good. Could even make the association because of his height, but of the fewer than 40 guys over 7’3” that have made the NBA only 3 have made the HOF and maybe 12 have had long careers. They’re very prone to injury
#3 acts and plays like Westbrook. He took his Jersey off and ran around like someone was going to tackle or chase him🤦🏻 bro you didn’t make the shot and your teams together acting like they’ve done it before.
I played high level high school basketball in Toronto in the late ‘70s and every single player on the floor here is wayyyyyyyy better than any of us were. What one or two of our guys might do every couple of games these guys do as a matter of course. Amazing how far young athletes have come, in all sports.
They play year around only basketball us in class of 1978 played during basketball season. Football was played during football season. But I had scholarship at SanJose state for baseball and Basketball played center field and football was wing back and monster back = strong side linebacker. We played year around we be just as good .I joined marines junior season so turned down scholarship government owned me😂😂😂
Wow didn’t notice till just now that a lot of other people like #10 in red too! That’s what I’m talking about! Apparently some folks making comments actually know what they’re talking about! Love it!
I thought Jah was soft. This dude softer than him. But Jah is 300lbs too. This dude 7'6 might not even be 200lbs. he had some nice blocks though. He has a lot of work to do.
He definitely needs to work on his speed and footwork. He jumping explosiveness is not there because he already reaches the rim standing up so no need but that’s not a good thing. Most of all he needs to be confident in himself and be like Shaq…he needs to let everyone on the court know that he is the beast on the floor.
He has long ways to go. Need that energy level on 12. You can’t run offense through him yet he doesn’t show that he wants the ball. He’ll come along but as for now it’s slow and yet not smooth yet. But someone needs to light that fire under him. Teach him the hard work ethics. He’s got the height thing down. I see he could be special
Red team white boy #3 got some game, blue #0 too big guys very raw. Not boxing out or rebounding really. Guys shouldn't be getting anything easy under the net. Hopefully hell learn needs to work on his lateral movement & defensive iq
Wow, how old is he? He will be ok maybe work on his speed up and down the court and bulking up a little bit and with time, he will get better and better. I hope he's studying tapes/plays of other centers in college and the pros. I'm going to be following this ypung man.🤩🤩🤩
