From broken tracking rings, cracked controllers, cracked or damaged cameras to run over headsets, melted charger ports & of course a litany of Gorilla Tag fails. Hopefully this video will help out new, beginner, noobie Quest 2 owners that are still learning the basic tips & tricks.

I do not own any of music, extra video clips images, chroma key, or sound effects used in this video. Or at least most of them, some stuff is mine.

Most of the ‘’grease’’ is just marks from hitting walls and paint prob coming off, I can’t say that it’s the same for everybody but it’s the reason why my controllers look so scuffed, both on my quest 2 and rift s.

my VR room is fuckin immaculate, I play hard af but I have a 10ft x 10ft room for just VR and gaming so hitting a wall or object of some kind just doesn't happen. I'm shocked at the amount of Slobbery out there in the VR world. Clean your damn homes people.

I’ve had my quest for a solid 3 days and I’ve absolutely smacked my controllers into my wall, tv, wardrobe, desk and even my headset. Thankfully the quest and the controllers are fully intact (as far as I know)

3:05 you can completely power it off then submerge it in isopropyl alcohol for a while so they all die, then take it apart and let the isopropyl alcohol evaporate, lastly wipe the dead bugs out and put it back together. That’s what you do with that.

Watching those ants in that quest made me had to go check mine and make sure ants can't get into my case.(a good fix for that issue would be to put your quest in a vacuum chamber for a few days, ants can only go 24 hours without oxygen. Then open it up and clean em out) also people please clean your electronics (quest, controllers, phone, ECT) at least, AT LEAST, once a month. Please for your own sake.

Definitely been victim to full on punching my entirely wooden wall when playing gorilla tag but my finger took most of the impact over the controller so thankfully nothing is broken! (Including my finger)

Hopefully, I will never be in a situation where my quest 2 is damaged. I made pretty sure that as long as I stay in a certain area of my play space, I can't hit anything, and even have a textures mat to make sure I am within it as an extra precaution. Just have to be careful when playing beat saber, mainly during color swaps. You can accidentally hit the controllers together if you are not careful.

you can get rid of the bugs from the headset by separating them from oxygen a vacuum chamber might be too hard to come by but you can trap CO2 from fires or even your breath, collect some and let the quest sit in it for a while until the bugs suffocate but it will be hard to get them out from inside the headset, at least they are not crawling all over it

Ziplock bag won’t do it - it will take *FOREVER* for those little buggers to suffocate. But….add a couple of cotton balls soaked in isopropanol and that will do the job. And the alcohol should not damage anything.

The only "damage" my quest has had is stick drift on the left controller where it would flick back too far sometimes and then make me go backwards. Another thing that's just an inconvenience is the rubber cover thingy on the headset which doesn't fit properly so I have to keep putting it back on/fixing it

for the ant ridden quest 2 he should throw the headset in a vacuum seal bag and suffocate the ants for a couple days. then take all the dead ants out and shake the header around to get them out, maybe even disassemble it and get them all out for good.

I’m a PCVR but my controller ring covers have somehow fully came off but taping them back on makes them work fine. Also my wrist straps have snapped off.

PLEASE CONSIDER! If you’re punching your walls and breaking things, please just get a small mat to put on your floor! If you have one, you’ll always know where you are using your feet and can avoid hitting things, tripping, ect.
