The dodgers have already beaten better teams with similar to better rotations. The Padres had a better rotation imo and dodgers handled them. Yamamotos best start of 2024 was against the Yankees. Dodgers lineup is deep and they hit everything. Lefty’s haven’t really been effective against them so I don’t think that narrative Yankees haven’t faced a team with the offense anywhere near the Dodgers. Yanks are a top heavy team and that is equivalent to the dodgers but batters 5-9 and all dodgers and it’s not even close. The Royals had no offense but kept games close because of there sp, the guardians have a decent lineup but the weakest pitching staff in the playoffs, clase choked because he only has 2 pitch’s and it’s all velocity. No off speed and breaking stuff mixed in. If I were pitching to Soto I would throw sweepers away from him no matter and walk him if it comes to it. Try to paint corners and get him to chase. The dodgers have pitchers with all sorts of pitches. They can throw anything that needs to be thrown. That’s why their bullpen is so good. Their bullpen combine era is probably better than any starters. And they pitch more innings. It’s why dodgers have gottten away with bad starts from sp. Yu danish and Michael king are better than anyone on the Yankees imo and dodgers weathered that storm. The Yankees making it to the World Series is great but I feel like those that are sure of the Yankees winning haven’t been paying close enough to the dodgers and what they’ve been doing to who they been doing it to. The Mets outplayed the Phillies and dodgers destroyed the Mets. To me that speaks volumes. The Phillies are a juggarnaut and imo are better than the Yankees.
