October 29 is World Stroke Day and the Neuro Rehab team at West Park wants to share some advice to help reduce the effects of a stroke.

When somebody has a stroke, every second that goes by is crucial.
As brain tissue and millions of neurons begin to fade away, time could not be more precious.
By acting FAST you can save:
- A life
- Independence
- Quality of life
- and precious memories.
How do you act FAST?
Look for these signs
- Face drooping
- Arm weakness
- Speech difficulties
- Time to call 911 if you see any of these symptoms
