Agree when I was in school we had loud mechanical horns. Loud and scary like a score board buzzer. Today it’s like the alarms are saying “ Um I don’t want to be a bother but when you get a chance could you step outside for a moment please”. Where I work the public gets annoyed when they go off and you say get out of the building. I’ve literally left people in my office as the alarms sounded and they just stranded there bewildered and I’m already booked it to the parking lot. I even hopped in my car before and drove myself and co workers to the meeting point. Learned that because one winter we got stuck out for 2 hours. Alarms go off I grab my keys in case I’m not coming back.
Ese es el propósito de una alarma de esas, no es que te quieran estresar y dejar marcas en tu salud mental, ni romperte los oídos, es que en el instante en que suenen dejes de hacer lo que hagas y abandones inmediatamente la zona
There are fire alarms like this. You can change the type of alarm on the fire control panel. Types being march time which is like a constant beeping sound , Temporal 3, 3 chimes then stops then 3 chimes again. This means evacuate now. Then Slow whoop. This one is slow whoop.
I think the echo from the emptiness of the building makes it ominous. I read once that the siren indicates Evacuation and the tones/dings mean fire department response
That is correct. If you were to hear only the siren, it could mean that it is an evacuation that is not related to fire or that it's a drill. If you hear both sounds, there is likely a fire somewhere because the fire department has been automatically notified by the alarm panel.
@@yannlandry9242 thank you, I heard this siren on another constellation and figured the siren apartment get out there’s a problem but I kept expecting an announcement or some thing when the little bong noises went off but there kept not being an announcement so I figured those must indicate some other thing
The fire alarm in the 7 World Trade Center had 5 sets of two whoops, then 5 sets of 2 chimes. Siren, siren Siren siren Siren siren Siren siren Siren siren Pause Chime chime Chime chime Chime chime Chime chime Chime chime
The sirens were for evacuation and the chimes were for a fire emergency so if there was a fire the sirens and the chimes would sound. If they had to evacuate for a separate reason they would just use the sirens.
2 of my relatives worked in WTC7 on that fateful day, they were told to stay in the building as it seemed to be safe and unfortunately they had to see and experience what was waiting for them outside those doors. They recall hearing this alarm or what sounded similar, but since it’s been 21 years it’s a faint memory. 1 of them was lucky to leave much earlier or else the building would have toppled on top of them.
@@S550Chriss They were told that the building was safe to stay in, as their floor wasn’t so damaged, and since “The problem was hundreds of stories above us”, they thought they were generally safe. But of course once the smoke reached their floor they immediately left.
Rest in peace to those who died My respect goes out to their loved ones So sorry to them Thank you to the firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses , human beings for trying to help during this 🕊🤍
My cousin was there that day in Tower seven, He became a private broker after that now he's a multimillionaire.. With his own firm he's pretty much retired Early but he still owns the firm..
The fact that in some footages after the south tower collapse, u can here the alarm blaring as the everything is covered in dust and the North Tower is still blazing while people covered in debris are walking or running just gives off an apocalyptic vibe. Rip to the victims.
There is one where the bloke goes into 7 and you can hear this alarm going off. The policeman (I think it was a policeman) was telling him to get out, that the building was now empty.
@@user-be3iu9vz4s which videos is this please ? There is this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uLqGRv7CQlc.html but it's inside building 7.
Forget the name because its been forever ago since I've been there but a building here in Toronto near the Canadian National Tower and Rogers Center has this nearly exact same alarm. It played one time (I think theu were doing a test), and its the freakiest sound next to our Amber alert/special weather alert alarm we get on our phones. Although at the same time I like it. It gets your attention.
If that's the case & it's still there that'd be a good place to get a recording of the system in action! (& maybe even take a look at the system itself as a whole, especially since Firecom 8500s are few & far between these days)
I heard rumors that Firecom 8500 was also installed in the neighboring building complex, World Financial Center. I haven’t been able to find any videos of WFC yet alone even sound recordings. If anybody has WFC fire alarm let me know. Also, can somebody confirm if Firecom 8500 was used in the Financial Center?
The north and south tower utilized Cerberus speaker strobes (including building 4 5 6). Marriott hotel had Edward integrity’s set on slow whoop and building. Building 7 had firecom fire alarms
Twin Towers Of WTC oh ok . Thanks for telling me becuse I find that fire alarm stay more scary than the fire alarm in my apartment building I have code 3 fire alarms through out the place
That one was from 1987 the two towers had old ones from 1973 and the other tower had an updated version with the chime and an auditory warning put in in 1993
This is taken from Mark LaGanga's 9/11 video footage. The audio was taken when he walked into the WTC7 lobby shortly after the first tower's collapse and spoke with a Secret Service Agent in the lobby. I believe the full video was taken down on RU-vid but it can be found elsewhere. Just search up "mark laganga's wtc 9/11 video (full hd 60fps)" and you'll find it.
Lo alcanzó el escombro de la Torre Norte, se prendió en llamas y lo dejaron de lado, era más prioritario buscar sobrevivientes en las Torres, el fuego volvió a vencer el acero y concreto, y se fue para abajo
I said that as my cars sound when I shift it is that sound for the back up sensor for every time I’m getting closer the sound will get faster and then the alarm will go solid
firecom i believe is a new york city alone thing, given the fire codes there. considering that these have to be a unique sort of alarm that'd have difficulty being installed on a normal system since the chime is a functionality informing you that FD is notified

What normal fire alarms tell me to do today: yeah, there’s a small fire. Just walk out idc What this fire alarm tells me: *RUN FOR YOUR LIFE* THE SECOND TOWER IS GONNA COLLAPSE ON TOP OF THIS ONE, SERIOUSLY! JUST RUN FOR YOUR LIFEEE!!
that’s actually better because it gets you more into action, for example a plane crashed into the building and you didn’t notice, you’ll be like “oh that’s probably nothing, i’ll just walk out” and then you’ll die for not being fast enough
All this worry about an alarm, what happened to the building what you should think about, it was brought down in a controlled demolition five hours later and we're told it's from fires when buildings next door were badly damaged and didn't fall. HOW IS THAT?
Lo dejaron arder porque lo prioritario era comprender que había sucedido, todos estaban en shock, y los servicios de emergencia debían identificar desaparecidos y buscarlos. Se pudo haber salvado, pero importan más las vidas que un edificio
