Firefly was primarily used by its Trp Com in overwatch. It would usually be covering where the tanks would be moving.

The Crocodiles and Fireflies are MVP’s in my experience. Nothing like watching your Crocs crash through barbed wire and burn your friend’s Panzergrenadier squad to a crisp! And the ability of the firefly to pen a PzIV frontally with no chance of the armor blocking is awesome.

Kind of weird hearing so many German stats being stated incorrectly with apparently total confidence. The Tiger does not "start at 14 on the front". Tiger is FA9. A Firefly that hits a Tiger frontally at long range will penetrate armor half the time, with a possible bail on save roll of 4. You need a 5 or 6 to completely bounce it at long range. Also, basic Stug III in LW is AT11. Still can't hurt FA11, but AT11 does have a chance to hurt the FA9 version (albeit a very poor chance); AT9 would not.

Yeah, he mixed it up with 14 for Antitank rating on a Tiger.

The Americans ran into an issue where they couldn't get close enough to the beaches to deploy the DDs where they should, when they needed them, and so decided to deploy them where they should never had deployed them.

They were also not at the showing of the first DD tanks which was in seas that were similar to those at Normandy. Many sank.

Why do BF keep putting white Sqn markings on Churchills , as there wasn't any unbrigaded units ?

I feel I need to let people know in advance that the Churchill crocodile is disgusting and I will be fielding as many as I can

Do the rules reflect the moral impact that Crocodiles had on troops in real life. Apparently the deaths from a Crocodile equated to about 154 men v thousands that surrendered in the period June to October. This was because an enemy flamer with a range four times the length of your actual panzer faust caused serious angst amongst the defenders. (I know I would have been disappointed to see one coming to get me).

I love the firefly I don’t care if someone said it wouldn’t pass an American muster because for the British it just simply worked and that was enough. I’ve heard more stories of German tank crews being terrified of the firefly than I have of them being scared of an American Sherman with a 76mm gun

Compared to earlier versions of FoW, the British 7th Armoured has been nerfed. It is weaker than ever. Also, the Command Cards are useless as they have only LUCKY that the 7th can run for a decent price. There are no 7th-specific cards like there are for other armies in the book. Really bad design all the way around.
