a bit late on this, but regarding "why the Prince's territory is so spread out", it could be analogous to how after the Warring States period of Japan, "insider" daimyo who had sided with the winning dynasty were given small but strategically and economically valuable portions of land along with court appointments, spread all across the country, which gave the Shogun close to direct control of these important areas, while "outsider" daimyo retained most of their large pre-unification territories, placating them, but with little influence on national policy.

I know this is super out of date and is unlikely to be seen, but I had a flash of inspiration that should be recorded on the off chance you get to see it and use it. The singular Sphinx should be the head of the royal mint, bound to service by some long dead ruler of the city. I think practically would be both the manager and primary defense of the mint, its operations, and personnel. Basically detests all the political subterfuge in the city and just wants the mint to run smoothly and without undue influence.

I started using these demographic breakdowns a while ago. I felt it was useful to add simple tags and combine terms for easy conveyance: Dominant Enclave: A group that is very powerful in a specific location Distributed Minority: A small percentage of these people are spread across. Dominant Singular: A powerful single individual. Visible Enclave: A group that is condensed, probably not powerful but highly visible. Hidden Singular: An individual who very few know about. Visible Impotent Singular: An individual who is highly visible but has very little power (puppet monarch, figureheads, celebrities, etc) Basically utilize small additions of subtype/supertypes on Matt's excellent starting point helps flesh things out.
