Since the next Worlds will be held in UK you might as well play the game, the learning curve is gonna be tough but by understanding the game you can enjoy Worlds even more not just the performance. I know a lot of people from the league community are telling you to avoid this game and I can kind of understand but if you ever do start playing league those guys who keep telling you to avoid the game are happy to help you with your journey :)

you are right but to be fair, every worlds had all songs in full length but this time the hearsteel song was cut shorter. i think thats why people say they did heartsteel dirty. i personaly was also dissapointed in that

They could have put at least some effort in arranging the performances. The sound design was horrible. And they could have used dancers for the whole performances and not just the chorus. During the verses the stage looked so bland. SK is always praised as so technological advanced, but the effects from 4 years ago looked better and more interesting than this.

Funfact : one of the players of the two teams on this final his a huge fan of NewJeans. He was so hyped to meet the girls and was nearly talking more about this than the game itself in some interviews XD Must have been such an incredible to him beeing on the stage with NewJeans (and he won the final with his team after that)

There are some details I’d like to add since no one’s talked about it here yet. “Rise” is the 2018 Worlds song which was when TheShy (from WBG - White team) was recognized as one of the best players the game ever has, and he is now back to the final stage. If you watched the opening ceremony of 2018, you can see Mako did not perform his best best. So this year he made a redemption with this performance, and it worked out very well (you can see Mako’s comment under the original 2018 performance that he was glad to make it this year). GG Mako, Rise is one of my most favorite LoL’ song, and he absolutely nailed it this time with the group. Both White (Weibo Gaming - WBG) and Black (T1) has a member that is NewJeans fan. It’s TheShy for WBG and Keria for T1. Now Keria has won Worlds title, he earns a priveledge of making any costume (skin) for any character he played this tournament. He wanted to make a NewJeans-like skin, of at least has the choreography for the character he chose. (Also both of them couldn’t see the performance since they had to wait behind the scene 😂). Riot is known for making prophercy theme song every year. This year’s theme song is “Gods”, and in the final we have 2 players that can be recognized as God players, TheShy (WBG) and Faker (T1). Also there is Zeus (T1) - TheShy’s rival for his role, and as we know Zeus is the Father of the Gods, which went exactly like how it is 😂 he crushed TheShy mercilessly in the game. Moreover, the song has the line “They gonna crumble one by one”, and Korean team T1 crushed EVERY Chinese team (each and every of them are top tier teams) to get to the throne. League is a game better to watch not to play imo. If you had a chance, you could try to play it for basic knowledge of everything, but since this is a pvp (toxic) co-op (toxic) game, the toxic level is just insane. This is the main reason why people stop you from playing it 😂

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm 99% sure that the reason everyone has their phone out is because all the CGI-like stuff (the characters that make up Heartsteel coming out of the screen and mordekaiser out in the crowd) is all AR stuff, so they have their phones out because it is part of the experience.

Also, I'm launching this idea, I don't know if it's the kind of react content that might interest you, but there are plenty of videos on Faker's journey (who has just won the worlds for the 4th time, 10 years after his first title.) You definitely should be able to recognize AT LEAST one exact face. The player from T1 team (black clothes) on the right (18:13) is the "best player" that you mentioned being in multiple videos. Yes, that is the legend itself Faker.. and yes, he and his team won the worlds title once again (fourth trophy for him)

If you compare it to other opening ceremonies (especially 2019) this year sadly falls flat. Don't get me wrong, the songs were great. But the sound design and quality was so bad, you could only hear half of the instrumentals. During Paranoia there seemed to be problems with the mics or they had on weird filters. And why cut half of the song? I love Paranoia to death, but I only vibed very little with the performance. Our four boys did great, but the dancer arrangement made little sense to me. Especially the rap parts were so energetic and should have been hyped up by the dancers or effects. It's a hype song. It should be a big full stage to portray that energy. Instead we got an empty stage with a boring backdrop. Also in 2019 (that's 4 years of tech evolution) they were able to have the champion projections interact with the singers.

You should check out "Remix Rumble - Teamfight Tactics" Its a song for a game mode in League of Legends, it released during the words tournament. Its just an EDM track, but its a banger track with Riot's signature quality and seems to hint of things to come with Riot's virtual groups as they are all somewhat featured :D

If you want to watch a K-Pop Band was created, I can recommend you to have a look for Boys Planet by MNET. It's kind of "Voice of.." but they let the fans deside who gets through the show and in the Band at least. Long shows, but it gives you a hint how hard it is to get a K-Pop Star.

im a big fan of LOL i love and admire the champions, love the songs, comics, their merchandise(especially the amazing mousepads, and miniatures), their breathtaking anime Arcane (I really hope riot org to launch season 2 and they really need to do it) and their tremendous worlds finals opening ceremony. (i dont really play lol cause im not good at it. IMAO but i wanna shout out and respect the riot org for their amazing masterpieces!!) For all the peeps who are not versed in the E-Sports scene: the finale was between the two best regions, Korea and China. Almost every year either of them wins. In this case the finale was between the LCK's (Korea's) 2nd seed T1 and the LPL's (China's) 4th seed Weibo Gaming. What does seed mean? The 1st seed represents the best team from the respective region of that year, the 2nd seed represents the 2nd best etc.. What's so amazing is the fact that T1 managed to beat China's 1st seed in the semi finals who were (or still are) statistically THE best team in the world because they won everything in the LPL and almost would have completed the Golden Road (which basically just means winning every possible title in a year) if they won this year's Worlds. It was also Faker's (the midlaner of T1) 4th Worlds title and the first for, if I remember correctly, the first for the rest of the team. Truly an amazing performance by T1 this year.

I think this one wasmeh bad because I think it was meant to see live and not from home. There was a gigantic paronamic screen that looked super cool but we barely got any shot of it from home. I'm sure people live enjoyed it a lot. Also the camera work was blurry af.

15:40 Sometimes the professional recording is really bad, because they try to 'edit in' the crowd incorrectly. And they want to show themselves they were there, it's called a fancam (quality of the camera from a fan pov). Most people I know who record are watching the scene not the phone, so it's for posterity.
