Awesome brother. It's truly a feet within it self to get a 2wd slash to hit that speed especially with the stock slash body. Only thing I know to do to go any faster is put a 7700kv castle on 4s and 76/26 gearing and send it. Even though you will blow the motor and probably fry a battery. I used a 3650 5900kv on 4s and hit 130mph
The car got completely destroyed last time out. So the 2wd GT Slash is going to have to do it. Check out the channel the wreck is there. Thanks for watching
Yea man thanks for sharing your link with me., that’s ripp’n! Other than fast drag slashes I haven’t seen any speed runners. I’d never expected 130 on a rear motor mounted gear box and on a buggy style chassis. I’m on the fence about where to take this second build… by the time I’d reach 150mph successfully with nooo crashes, someone will already brake the new record like McCoy wish just a single digit away. Who ever gets there first will probably be getting all types of offers and deals and sponsorship, would you think 🤷♂️🤔.
The 2wd slash is my favorite, just trying to work out the driveshafts. I can push this car on 8s and go 145 150 but the weak link is holding me up. The record was 130mph and last year I did 135mph but didnt own a gopro yet. Got called out and bought a gopro to prove it. Check out the channel and see some of my other cars run. Very impressive. Though pretty sure you could find other places than a highway that is much safer. I did see you suggested it might be a long exit ramp. In the video you can see cars getting off the highway on an exit ramp back beyond where you initially drove the RC down towards. Your car is parked on an on ramp. At best where you were running it was an interchange ramp from one high way to another, or where 2 highways split. Considering the exit and on ramps though, I doubt that is in the middle of an interchange. Either way, hope you managed to reach 140. About to upgrade some things on mine and see how fast I can get it to go.

A major highway is an interstate, I'm actually at the end out an expressway. A long exit ramp. I run from 5:30 am while the world is still sleeping. These cars sit 5mm off the ground, I would love to find a ROAD that doesn't have manholes and other depressions. Secondly the cars need 1/4 or better to get to speed. Thirdly, you'll never see another video from me because of people like you! Do me a favor and DO NOT go over the speed LIMIT when you drive.........Its very dangerous! I hope you dont use your cellphone while driving...... it's very dangerous! It's all about perspective.

would probably be a cool idea to power a low voltage lipo alarm to constantly beep.. would be easier to find in the grass. would only weigh 10g or so added only

The Body is more then Good, it is needed for the aerodynamics 👉 The setup of the car can push high 140's maybe 150, problem is the driveshafts and differential, if you watch my other videos you'll see the "problems" I got the setup all fixed and ready to go but the highway was taken away from me. The 2wd Slash takes alot of room to slow down, much more then a 4wd. Any questions ask away!

Hey brother I know you won’t give your gears out but what would be a good gear ratio for 100 mph I got a 1717 1650kv in my 2wd slash and wanna at least break 100 I’m getting a 34t pinion this week to mesh w a 50t spur I’m pushing 45 on 4s (I can go up to 8s) with 26pinion 58spur 32p
Change over to Mod1 gearing FOH 32- 34t spur "look up on google" Pinion ? Anywhere from 24-34 depending on voltage. You need a castle Esc! And you only need a 14series motor to do it. The 1717 is overkill

And I have a mamba monster x 8s esc from castle and I already have the 1717 mounted up so I might as well run it Eventually I’m going for over 100 but I just wanted good place to start I’m gonna be running 8s for speed runs forsure, I got the 1717 so I can do back to back passes without having to worry about temps and just to do it lol I haven’t seen anyone else put that motor on a 2wd slash
Man I give up. Trying to follow your lead with a 2wd speed runner and modified slash body. I'm having trouble with the rear walking out to the left under hard braking. Tried a sealed diff with all different weight fluids and even a diff locker. Can't seem to figure it out. We're u getting that problem?? If so how did u fix it??
@@jaymitchrc 7s was ready to push on 8s. Look at your logs, look at the voltage drop!! 25.2 with load 12-18v. Motor wants 25.2. Get it? Overvolting is fine just watch the heat and max rpm. Any questions ask away. Your rustler is going to need the 272r trans and heavy duty axles.

@@jessnjio I crashed this car last time out. The driveshaft broke and stuck the car completely sideways and into the guard rail. So I have my 2wd Slash GT that's going to have to do it. I never thought I'd get the stock body that fast, and it will go faster. I'm trying to get Traxxas attention to build a Truck body like the Infraction. 140+ is no problem, it's the transmission or the driveshafts. I've upgraded to the 272r trans and its holding together. Just when the axles break, theres no Brakes to slow down and I've done this way to many times. As I sit here your motivation is going to make me push this car! I thought I was spending to much time with the 2wd's as I have 5 other speedrun cars.

If you see the latest video the car wrecked at 134mph. One driveshaft broke and stuck and the car turned completely sideways and into the guard rail. But yes it was on rails.... Hardest part is slowing down

@@speedrunner8356 I love the belt drive xray!! Zero out your servo I use the stock toe in the rear, with camber straight up. Front toe in just a tad if not zero, camber straight up. Heres a key I found, make sure your front belt is one notch Tighter then the rear. I found the rear trying to push the car around making it loose.
@@speedrunner8356 also tighten your shocks all the way down front and rear. Drop screws in the front, lower the car for a good RAKE, cause the car.is going to squat

Old school castle 100,000 rpm motor with matching 3s ESC, standard traxxas 3s lipo, magnum 272r transmission, MIP HD axles, lcg chassis conversion, homemade front and rear splitter, custom c10 speed run body, 17mm hub adapters with power hobby grippers! Almost done with my fan setup for the motor and I’m using some very serious 32p gears for an armma felony or Keaton, can’t remember. 😂 I’m getting a gps so I can quit strapping my phone to my rig! I e had a bunch of people ask about it at the local hobby shop so I’m going to post a quick video tomorrow of the setup! I just got into the hobby about 6 months ago and I absolutely love it man!
