Even when I used to go to little Cecil County dragway for grudge night, it was usually crowded. Both of those tracks are out in the sticks too!

***** Why do you need to insult? Please, man, if you wanna talk about cars and mechanics I expect you to use your knowledge...I don't need to read anything about "how a turbo is better than a belt-driven compressor...blah blah top end, blah blah what if they...". First of all, I will start saying that Turbos are more efficient, even if they have a parasitic loss, it's minimal. They're way easier to work with, and therefore, it's easier to make more power from a T car than SC one. On the other hand, when talking about power, RAW power, a mechanical compressor SHOULD be able to make more power, torque and response...but why is that? Because the force of an engine will always be more powerful than the force the exhaust gases can make: that means that a SC has more power to use. A Top Fuel turbo could be possible, but it will never be as powerful as a blown one: solid nitromethane and those incredible temps would melt the turbine like the butter you have in your refrigerator. Nowadays TF's are making 10000-12000 hp, there's no turbo engine, EVER, that could make/withstand those amounts of power. And, now I would like to ask you, why has anyone ever made a 4 second run in a turbo car? Nuff said. Now, about this actual race, as you see they're both pretty equal, BUT, I would like to point out some things: 1)the winner (fairly won) has 2 turbos, the blown car has only one blower. 2)the blown car was making a 105% overdrive, the maximum permitted is 128% (I think). 3) the big intake doesn't help with aerodynamic efficiency. 4) the only way to find out which one is faster is by deleting all the restrictions and limiters...then we'll see who's the real winner. Oh, just to finish, did you know that the BRM 1.5 liter supercharged engine was able to make 1000 hp, back in the 50's...just saying.

Have to wrap it in a blanket because Supercharger's like to backfire and explode when a 4,000hp engine is being peddled down the track. Meaning, constant on-and-off the gas to try and regain grip. That makes high-power engines with superchargers blow up. When the supercharger blows up, the entire blower can go flying and kill someone, or bits of shrapnel can go flying and kill someone. It's like having a hand grenade strapped too the top of your engine.
