Brand new TAYLOR 80 SUPREME Engine fitted into a GO PED for the first time! Engine ran in this morning and still on 5th tank so lots more power and rpm to come as it beds in and loosens up.
Starting out on 10/76 Gearing and then swapping to 10/56 Gearing during the video.
Getting the power to the ground with our industry leading 110mm Adjustable clutch system. You will not find a better Go ped clutch anywhere!
This record has now been beaten by one of customers with his TAYLOR 80 (73mph!)

That's pretty good! I don't have a goped,but I do have an uberscoot 2x that I recently replaced the 49cc engine with a 15hp 58cc 2stroke twin cylinder engine,a steering damper for as much control as possible, and a set of 110-50-6.5in high performance, speed rated tires,and have hit 85-87mph constantly! And on one occasion the fastest I have ever got it was 91mph on my gps! That I've never been able to beat since! And it was really fu#%$@# scary!!! One mistake and your toast! A red streak running down the pavement!

Without anybody guessing! What casereed engine is on that gsr40? I see it’s got a Toymaker or coast ped plate adapter on it for the engine to fit on

adam pratt hey Adam. This is an Rcmax 80 supreme motor that we custom make a fitment package for the gsr40. The billet adaptor plate, exhaust cradle etc all comes in the package! 110mm adjustable clutch system. Production engines have just become available on the Rcmax website!!

Please help. I have a go ped sport work g23lh and want top know the biggest engine (power and speed) I can install on it. It says the g290rc online but if I get the ada 54mm clutch for my sport, I can get a g320 or g340 on it right? Plus help and tell me what y'all suggest. Thank you much in advance!

You don't want to go that fast on a sport, hit a crack or a small hole the right way your going down. If you want that kind of speed get a air tire ped. But if you stick with the sport.....at least get bead lock wheels

@@jonbradshaw4517 thank u bro. I just got a mint GSR40 and just bought a gp460 and a adaptor plate to fit on my gsr40 for the 460 engine. Dude im so excited to finally feel the difference. Next is a pipe and big bore and hp carb.

Get the 63cc from the 70X which is also a Hausheng Kasei engine. Do equal length porting, ignition coil from the 1E44F Mitsubishi T300 to help porting so as to allow higher rpms. Get Area Rc reed valves or juice box mated to a Tillotson H20 or Walbro 48 with velocity stack, a good breather and a pipe with a differently gear setup and you'll smash over 100km/h

A better race wouldve been if that stock GSR-40 Had a Built casereed 470 engine piped. Cuz a stock 40 is not even worth racing against it.. especially a way bigger 70cc engine. Hell try my GSR-40 with a Zenoah G62 slitzell case reeded engine with the cylinder head ported and polished by Perkins porting, now that would be a good race imo.

@@TAYLORRC cool, thank you for your reply :) did 56 sprocket affect the acceleration? Didn't really look like it did :) think a 10-56 ratio will be ok uphill? What rpms did you hit? Cant wait to buy this engine

@@0dysse0s personally for me it made the ped feel nicer to ride as it smoothed out the savage power, maybe with hills and general riding, like 8/56 or something would be perfect. Didnt check the rpms to be honest but by ear it wasnt messing around!

Dual motor will be pointless. Just make it accelerate quicker. If they changed the gearing though. Yep it'll fly.

jzink6797 hey Justin. This is a custom adaptor plate we made up to fit the engine into the GSR40 frame. Apologies the date on the go pro is wrong. This was recorded last Sunday. After speaking with some go ped stalwarts I was advised Derek hit 64mph and this is 71mph on our first try. However if you know otherwise please let us know!

The GPS meter was in the riders pocket, reset and recorded all during the one clip, impossible to fake. Plus with an experienced eye on ride by, its clearly ballpark correct? But i appreciate your comment too

Ok sorry but no way your hitting 71mph with a stock pole and single sided forks. You will speed wobble at 55... So i call bullshit and this is from the guy who builds the fastest gopeds. Derek shorts fastest ped was a 460 built by me the one on his vids he dyno pulls
