That's really amazing but please do not forgett: the Maglev Train in Shanghai ist not a Chinese development. It is the german Transrapid developed and researched up to the 1990s by the companies Siemens and ThyssenKrupp. They reached the speed above 400 km/h already in the 1980s at the researchtrack in Emsland/Germany.

Gotta love China: They have a beautiful Maglev train and then they put a goddamn office lobby chair in the driver's cab and an OSCILATING FAN PLUGGED INTO A POWER BAR

The vehicles on the highway are basically stationary..only moving object is the train..

i know of at least one city in England that would benefit a Maglev type train to link the city up with its airport and that Liverpool as the only links to the airport from the city centre are buses and taxis you can get a train from Lime st to South Park Way but then you need a bus or taxi from there so if we was to have one of these train systems in Liverpool they could actually run it along the banks of the river Mersey to John Lennon Airport and also from the south park way station to the airport if it was built in the same way as this one then there would be no disruption to traffic and a lot less flights missed especially with easy jet as they always refuse you boarding even if you a few seconds late so this system would prevent this in fact i reckon all british airports and cities would benefit from these systems

problem with a train like this in a country like this .... if it crashes they really do dig a hole, bulldoze the entire train into the hole, cover it up and build a park on top of it. nothing to see here.
