Thank you, everyone don't understands the product right away like you! do reach out to us before buying so we can help you with the fit, sizing and how to adjust the tether depending on your motorcycle. Book a meeting here www.helitemoto.com/schedule-a-consultation-meeting/
Airbag jeans gets two thumbs up from me and using Helite for the airbag technology is a smart move - well proven for reliability and safety. I already have a Helite vest, however two tethers would be disappointing. Please make a dual tether joiner or something for us who already have the vest. I can only hope it will happen.
I just bought the electronic version of the Helite Vest,I'm sure they can make an electronic version of the jeans as well.I ride a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja650.
problem is, i want to use it on an e-scooter that reaches up to 65 mph but it is much lighter then a motorcycle and I'm also a very light person so my concern is that it wont trigger when I need to, at the same time I wouldn't want it to trigger on like a small fall on a forest trail or something were regular cloths will be enough protection (but I wouldn't want to disable it in case I end up falling off like a large jump or something). also I was interested in the jackets but the same question arises and I also don't support products made from other living beings, like leather@@HeliteMoto
Amazing I have always dreamt about having something like this! If only you guys could make it work with leather pants a full race suit I would pay top price for that! It would be priceless! Perhaps a collab with Dainese would make this such a golden product
The reason why we chose to go for a 2 tether solution is because both tethers must be adjusted to your riding style and motorcycle when setting up the gear. Sport riders will need a shorter tether while adventure riders will want a longer tether, it's better to adjust the garments separate, it's more precise. The shorter the tether the faster the inflation.
This is pretty dope. I can guarantee though that someone is going to forget to detach appropriately before getting off at a gas station or pit stop and completely embarrass themselves. 😂 That’s still better than a bunch of road rash and broken bones. 👍🏾
This is insane! Never heard of this until I went looking for 'next gen' protection. Wonder if I still need additional gear, or would this give me full body protection? (we need airbag gloves and shoes, LOL). Maybe, a neck brace. Before you know it, we'll have a full bubble that houses the entire bike and rider. Think this industry needs next level. The hobby/sport is literally dying a slow death. Full safety gear that addresses most worries could be a real game changes. Not to mention, save countless lives!
A Helite Turtle 2 gives you plenty of upper body protection, especially at the neck. The only thing thats missing really is some rib protection on the sides and maybe some shoulder protection.
@@Benjonator Appreciate that info. Just heard a couple horror stories from local bike accidents. One guy lost lower half of leg from some idiot driving running into him from the side. Not sure if highway/crash bars would have helped, but man, it's not the bikes that are dangerous. It's the morons in cars who don't look at where they are going.
@@Curious_Skeptic exactly. It's not us being cocky or unsafe, it's the idiots that put themselves or other people at risk. No matter the level of care you put into riding, some idiots are bound to risk your life.
We'll buy X2 the moment you have available for Australia. I just bought air tech 10 (waiting until October was told) for myself and wife got the Denessie. In Australia you can't get pants in air bag technology.
How reliably will the pants inflate on a lowside before you hit the ground? Do people normally start to separate from the motorcycle before they hit the ground?
@HeliteMoto I came here with the same question. How would this react if you stayed with the bike on a lowside sliding accident? Genuinely curious and hoping to hear back. 🙏
If you don't separate from the bike a tethered system won't do anything. I've lowsided twice on race tracks though, and I never had a option not to separate from the bike.
The idea is good, but what if the rider crashes into something with the bike and the rider doesn’t fall off from the bike, so the airbag is not triggered? Isn’t it no protection at all if the airbag is not triggered.
Mo'Cycle designed the Jeans and HELITE is providing the airbag technology for it. We are the US Importer and Disrtibutor for HELITE and will offer the Mo'Cycle Jeans here in the US in 2023. We hope that explains it....
Is this system ventilated? We live in Florida and as you know it's always hot here. Even if they are ventilated, they must be hot huh? Also, is it true that you offer refunds or exchanges if the fit is wrong?
Speaking for the vest, it does get quite toasty in high summer. However it fits quite loose, and when combined with a mesh jacket it isn't too bad even with the 35c+ and high humidity we get over here.
They need coverage for the tib/fib. The statistics on how many motorcycle riders who become BKAs is nuts. I fractured my tib/fib when someone cut me off. Almost lost my leg.
@matthewputnam7486 if I ever get on a bike again I'll be wearing boots like those. Not convinced they would have made a difference though. Definitely better then what I had on though.
@alalal123421 Below the knee amputation. Crash bars may have made a difference. The Alpinestars may have, too. I'd say chances are minimal they would have, though, probably
The Regular fit of the airbag jeans is unisex and fits women! The fit can further be adjusted for the female body by opening snap buttons by the hips, giving more space by the hips ❤
The airbag vest is a lifesaver! The airbag jeans will be in a similar price range as the airbag vests, and yes we have thought about the hips and the airbag covers the hip area, the hips are one of the most injured areas in motorcycle crashes.
The airbag jeans works for adventure bikers as well. If you use real adventure boots (the big ones) then chose the Relaxed fit of the jeans, you will be able to have the airbag jeans over the boots in that case. If you want the Regular fit then you need to have the jeans inside the boots. I would recommend the Black version of the airbag jeans because it's water repellent, if you are riding in dirt, just zip out the airbag from the jeans when you are done so you can machine was the jeans.
As a traumatologist & bike totally support this 2 suggestions lower limb tib cover and also algorhhytm as my crash I didn’t come off bike some may be hit whilst on bike . Agree may need extra bulk for this but can be via a belt pouch
I broke my hip going over the top of the bike during a road rage brake check. The bike may have landed on me, I'm not sure. Let me tell you, a broken hip hurts a LOT, and I've busted a lot of stuff including crushing a fingertip.
I like my vest, but I'm a daily commuter, I don't see that being good under my Aerostich R3, and I don't want to wear jeans most days. I could go for chaps though. And I have a hideous orange & hi viz yellow suit, with a high vis version of your vest, I don't want to be a dark patch on the highway. So, nice idea, but a fail for me.
Good that it’s reusable because everyone is going to forget about the bike trigger strap when getting off the bike. “Hey, let me get some food real quick, POP!……dammit.”
Had he reverse gripped the bar and NOT round his back (which signifies you’re getting tired because at that point your form was all bad) he could’ve continued and gone even farther but I would worry about his back pain later from all that over extending and later rounding of the back he was doing … beside the shorter dude having less distance to travel his grip and technique was on point. My max life is 370lb and the goal was to just stand up with the weight 😅 I was shaking like a leaf until I realized my glutes were not activated … and him over extending is never necessary or advised. Once you’re upright youre halfway there … I will say short guy had soooo much assistance though, without it I’m sure he wouldn’t have gotten pass 495lb … either of them actually. 😋
I ride and this just doesnt seem like its worth buying for the street to me. Youre gonna be involved in a much more serious impact before you separate from the bike. Sure it "might" prevent an injury and that alone has value but this does nothing to protect you from the accident that occurred before you came off the bike and im certain that the injuries from that first impact will greatly out way the injuries from landing on the ground afterwards.
