As some that has driven snow machines my whole life 60 miles is barely having fun. So what happens when you run out juice your screwed. You can't just take a spare can of fuel and get back up and running. Cool idea but not there yet we need a better technology than lithium batteries. Also have fun getting that heavy bastered unstuck from deep snow you will need like 4 of them to pull it out.

Still sounds like the battery will drain slowly in cold weather, even with their "thermal management system". Energy is still needs to heat up those batteries after all when the thing is switched off. I'm not a battery engineer, but I feel like it might've been worthwhile for them to use a battery that is more tolerant of cold temperatures, not necessarily Li-ion based

Pretty nifty. Having ridden snowmobiles plenty in Colorado I really like the idea of an all electric one. However, she's a heavy beast! I can't imagine taking that thing off a packed trail. Most riders stop very frequently at rest points along the trails (every 1-2 hours). If the infrastructure if in place to charge along the trail, it won't be an issue. Might be an issue with off-trail riders using their mountain sled. Off trail you don't do much mileage, but being always wide open consumes a ton of fuel

60 miles gets you half day of riding, and when you get stuck you are not strong enough to pick it up out of the snow. When your battery dies, you'll need a gas power sled to pull you out of the backwoods. Last I checked, there are no charging units on the mountain.

It would be great to hear more of the performance side of this machine and compare to other gas powered sleds in the same price range. The recording of the dash seemed to show a pretty respectable acceleration, but couldn't tell if you were 100% or not. Can it pull the front end off the ground? Some more off-board scenes showing you thrash it would be cool too...but I'm assuming this might be a prototype and obviously not owned by you so maybe they didn't want you going too crazy haha. Cool product! Cant wait to hear more about it and the PWC!

wouldn't expect too much in regard to performance, or rather - I wouldn't expect too much in regard to sustainable performance.
