With all this extra time on my hands, it seemed like a good time to do a bit of cleaning at the worm farm, so I did. I also decided to de-winterize the old worm bed because it was so insulated it wasn't warming back up.
Also since it's 2020 (aka the year from hell) winter decided to show up again this week and we had a hard freeze that broke my hose attachment and killed most of the worms I added a few weeks ago. I won't be deterred though. The farm will keep moving forward!

oh that is terrible that you lost most of your worms through the cold. It must be so disheartening to have these setbacks. Good luck my friend as the weather warms up for you

One of my ctf is 32 feet long and I feed it 4 tractor buckets every 3 days ! Worm won't die of unless terrible conditions! Keep feeding hot precomposted manure regularly ! The worms will come back and go into breeding mode ! You will see!!!! Good farming

The losses are rough. I hope you have enough to make a good recovery.

There were so many! In kinda glad the dogs weren't there at the time. Might have had to cut some footage... they are good mousers, I've seen them in action a few times.

Ok, I'm new here so I haven't binged all your videos yet (this is literally the first one), however, have you considered topping the winter beds with hot manure? From the looks of your spread, you've got access to some. It could add some heat as well as food that could help them through. I totally wanna come play in your worm beds...talk about GOALS!

This next year I will be stopping them with hot stuff and also feeding periodically with hot manure over the winter. I dont want to lose my worms again. Thanks for watching!

The screens are clogged up because your running wet material . Let the material dry more, then run it thru. It will be more time efficient that save stress

That was definitely it. I was just shocked at the extent of the clogging

Just some fields they like to feed in. In some of my other videos you can hear pheasants calling in the background too. It's a beautiful place.

What was the building used for before you started the worm farm? It's a huge place, cheers

It was just an animal shed. Never got used. It really is massive, I dont know how I'm going to fill it up.

@@markschofield576 I definitely will. I've been sort of designing a more industrial one. Going to cost a bit though. So need to make due with my tiny ones for now Haha
