Very good guide, thanks! Few notes: 1. you can find out if POS is active using dscan if you add "Force Field" item into your overview setting. It's now possible to have your dscan set to a preset different from active overview, so I have created a few of presets specifically for dscan - one with all player's ships, mobile stuff (depot, tractor, bubbles, scanner probes, etc.); another one - all of the above + tower and force field, and yet another one with addition of wrecks. These presets allows me to quickly scout the system for signs of activity without warping around, and leaves me to choose whatever overview preset in the actual overview without getting disoriented by massive amount of stuff in dscan (useful for mining, and running sleeper sites). 2. Hunters (especially in warp-cloakable ships) often use regular scanner probes to probe sigs such that they can get warp-ins without making it very obvious to the prey that they are out to get him/her (and sometimes for fitting reasons as well since expanded probe launcher takes up much more CPU than regular one), so I'd say treat all probes the same unless you're in a safe in the middle of nowhere (in this case you can be found only by combat probes). I highly recommend to NOT mine/harvest gas if you know for sure that somebody is in the system with you. Also keep in mind that a lot of WH hunters are quite elaborate and might have all sigs pre-scanned before you show up at all, and would camp a system for quite some time. This is especially so in the very first wormhole that lead to hisec, as these tend to generate quite a traffic of daytrippers who go after w-space riches, and experienced wh hunters know that. By far the easiest way to get a kill for beginner wh hunter is to hop into stealth bomber and camp wh with hisec exit over the weekend. You won't believe what kind of stuff you would see coming in during only a single day! There is enough careless players who would get into wh in mining barges/exumers without escort, and SB's torpedoes will melt it in no time flat! 3. Advice to not warp to zero is a good one, but warping to 100km is only marginally better as a lot of players do that, and some WH systems I ran across had "decloak" clutter laying around at 100k warp-in point to POS. You can set custom warp-in distance by right-clicking "Warp-to" button and typing in a number - I suggest putting something in 80k-90k range. 4. My own experience in w-space shows that if you want to find a quiet wh system to mine/gas-harvest/run sleepers - your best bet would be going into losec to look for K162 that would be a static for that system (these may lead to C1-C3 systems). Very few players/corps live in systems with losec statics as it creates a whole new level of logistics hassle for them. While as a daytripper, you can slip by most hi/lowsec border camps in a frigate with relative ease, or just pick an exit which is not camped (that is a big topic in and of itself). This is not to criticize in any way your awesome video, just some more information for those looking for it.
Thank you *****! I just checked out the the "force field" option on the d-scan and it works like a charm! This is great advice, along with all the other points, thank you for sharing it! I haven't really researched how to spot statics yet. That part of WH spawns is still a bit confusing for me. So much more to learn!
ReLoad 1. "Static WH" means that there is _always_ a WH in that specific WH system that leads into certain "class" of space (available classes are: hisec, lowsec, nullsec, some specific class of w-space). By "always" I mean that as soon as existing static collapses, a new WH with the same identifier and leading to the same class of space (but _not_ to the same system!) spawns in that system (but _not_ at the same location - you'll have to probe it down). For example, if some w-space system has hisec static, it will lead to any other hisec system. Or - another exampe - some wh system can have a static leading into C5 - meaning that it will _always_ exist and it will _always_ lead into _some_ C5 w-space system, but not necessarily the same one (although there have been documented cases when respawned static lead to the same system as the one that just collapsed). 2. Statics always lead _from_ wh system, meaning it will appear as K162 when found from outside. 3. Statics can be distinguished from wandering WHs by looking at their identifier. Here is the most elaborate list I've found: wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Wormholes (scroll down to the bottom of the page). 4. The best way to quickly "research" a system is to open this website in ingame browser: wh.pasta.gg/ You can type in system identifier (JXXXXXX), or add this site to "Trusted sites" in ingame browser, which would allow website to query this info directly from your client (on that website there is a button left from the textbox). It will give you a wealth of information - what's the class of the system, what statics does it gave, some intel (last kill, possible residents, etc.). Check it out once and I'm sure you'll love it!
It is also a good idea to enter wormhole space from low sec instead of high sec. There is less traffic in low sec so less chance of other people coming in through the same hole. Another good idea would be to consider setting up a control tower for running reactions on the gas. Polymers take up less space than the gases they are made from so it is easier to transport. Even if you take a slight loss on the POS fuel it can be worth it if you can cut 4 trips down to 1.
ReLoad It is pretty useful. Though I must say it is much better with drug gas. When I started I would mine mykocerosin gas and make synth boosters. I took a loss on production, but in the process I compressed 100km3 worth of gas into around 500m3 of synth boosters. Took me from needing a JF down to making the haul in a frigate. Not to mention the product was more marketable. The finished product could be used by anyone while the gas or pure booster could only be used by those trying to produce the booster who of course would never want to pay full price. It always pays to know where you fit in with the industry surrounding what you do.
Love Karma Honestly I don't see much benefit to living in wormhole space. It seems easier to base yourself out of lowsec and simply enter Wormhole space from there. That way logistics are not a much of a concern.
benefits? with upcoming Phoebe the income from c3 sites will b awesome. amazing PI + safer than in low-sec. +u have HS static so u can be everywhere and nowhere same time)
The WH relic/data sites have sleepers in them. You'll need someone to help you clear the site first before you can hack it, or bring a ship that can do both. I have never ran a WH sites before, so I'm not sure how lucrative they are. I'm assuming that they'll be quite worth it if you can destroy the sleepers.
That's right. You'll stay cloaked in the bubble as long as there's nothing in close proximity to decloak you. So if there are ships flying in the bubble, do your best to stay away from them.
Hi Reload! Thanks so much for your awesome videos. I have got back into EVE thanks to you and DeLoneWolf. You're both great. Would you mind linking your overview setup. I think I have a good setup but yours is much neater. Thanks again!
TheLoneSlicer 0110 So far I have only mined/gas harvested and ran sleeper sites in the WH (aside from a very short stint of living in one with a corp). Hunting other players for some surprise pvp is the next thing I was trying to do, but a bit unsuccessfully so far, just really haven't stumbled upon anyone active. Bombers should be very fun in the WHs, I will be trying using a few different ones very soon. Which one do you prefer?
Purifier looks awesome. I'll have to do some research, I'm almost equally skilled in both amarr and caldari. Do you go for cruise missiles/torpedoes or bombs?
olivier bailly Thanks for watching! I think it's definitely profitable. As long as you don't cut corners on thorough intel/scouting, you can safely get in and out of the wormholes. The only time I see a possibility of being podded is if you're ambushed by a warp bubble and can't escape. Cloaked hunters also pose a problem, but if you're at a gas site that has to be scanned down, just be on a look-out for scanner probes. I doubt any hunter will sit at an empty gas site for hours on end in hopes of catching a lone prospect/venture. The kills are usually more opportunistic.
Thank you! You're making me blush. I will for sure keep making videos. Been doing a lot of livestreams lately, but may go back to short scripted vids like this one.
+Predator Productions Thanks for letting people know! A lot has changed in the year since I made this video. I personally like the fact that you no longer have to keep clones updated. Makes it easier to explore. o7
what was the clone feature he was talking about anyway? i understand clones as another body you can transfer your concesiousness to so you can basically go from one place to another place instantly instead of flying a ship between them. But you can't carry any items or ships. so you need to have a ship and gear setup at your different clone points??
Immortal it used to be there were clone tiers you could purchase kind of like ship insurance tiers. The higher your clone tier the more skill points you would retain if you got podded. If you got killed with a low tier clone that wouldn't cover your total skill points you would lose those points and have to retrain skills. You're thinking about jump clones which let you transfer your consciousness around the map.
It could be quite a maze. You can use some 3rd party tools (I don't know exact names off the top of my head) to help you find a way out. But best to always bookmark your entrance and exits.
awesome video. So much information to take in :) I've got alot more research needed before i fully understand. I'm Astero relic and data sites at the moment. Apparently I'll get better sites in Wormholes? so doing some research before i venture in and give it a shot
This video may have come out before Tripwire existed (I definitely wasn't aware of it). But typically, I don't use Tripwire. I like the app, but I just enjoy playing without support of 3rd party apps (unless I'm manufacturing, then spreadsheets are a must XD)
+MorayShot oh much tougher! I think hob I's can destroy a sleeper if you've got 5 of them and have decent drone skills. Your ship has to be well tanked though. Don't forget, some sleepers can warp scram you
This is a great video and it has some great information BUT it doesn't actually do its title any justice. This is not a basics guide, basics guides would be starting from the fitting noob ships to what to do when you first go in there... Instead you went in there with a middle level ship and went around using equipment that wouldnt be realistic to a noob ..
Haider Aljabori Thanks for watching/commenting! Yeah you're right, I should've used a more entry-level ship. The info on what to do inside the WH is still applicable, but the ship I used would indeed take some time to train for.
yeah i was expecting a little more basic, but a great guide regardless. Just means i didnt fully understand everthing but thats cool, eve is a complicated game and thats one of the main reasons I'm playing
+isectoid don't mind that part, that functionality has been removed from the game since the video came out. In the past, you had to purchase clones that could hold only a certain amount of skill points. So if your clone was destroyed and you trained more skills than it could hold, you'd lose those extra skill points.
I need a favor Alpha clone Vlog Expedition on on Null Sec High sec Etc Exploration Guide I'm an Alpha and New I subscribe your Channel because You gave us a lot of Information Tips and Ideas how to play this game i barley started but I am hook up about this game Your are Cool Reload🚀🚀🚀🐽🐽🐽🐙🐙🐙 Wormholes Space Travel I love it
