For people who don't understand the lyrics of the hymn, in direct translation it is saying, 'Guide me Father. Guide me my Savior through all the gloom/devastation of this world. Father, Father, Father, Father, I thank you for You still shield/preserve me'. ❤ Edit: The song's name is Ngikhokhele which means Guide Me for anyone that's interested in the title of the song.
We used to assemble like this every morning and thank God for giving us strength to be in school despite family burdens Yet we made it still black child. These prayers at the assembly worked in my favour
This is a good example of speaking in tongues…I DO NOT SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE PHYSICALLY, BUT MY SPIRIT FELT AND UNDERSTOOD THAT THIS WAS PRAISING THE MOST HIGH” Thank you LORD for everything ❤❤❤
Amen! God bless also in this time the sisters and brothers in Nigeria, Mali, Burkina Faso and especially the RDC Congo. I'm a german with french and jewish roots, blood is red an can cry has to the heaven, pray for président Felix in Congo, he is a prayers man! GOD BLESS THE Congo and all who call first the Lord Jesus, before doing anything! Thank You Jesus!
Lies. I had a Kenyan tell me that nobody can sang like black Afro Americans. She is dope but it's plenty of kids in the south that will run circles around her on a Sunday at church. Southern ish hit different. That type of singing started from our African American ancestors whom were slaves. Hymns from Afro Americans and gospel music hit different because of that 💯💯💯💯💯
No it's not lies. If you know the history of south Africa, you'd understand. They have something very different compared to the rest of Africa. I think its the pain and struggle.
Before I knew South Africans could dance I always knew they could sing you to tears of joy or sadness. As a child we would sing the South African national anthem at school in solidarity during the apartheid. I've loved their voices since a child. Just beautiful 🇬🇭 ❤
Omg I grew up in London UK and our music teacher also taught us to sing the anthem in solidarity. I also have a thing about South African choirs. Moves me on a different level.
@@tonyamercado9013 YES! I agree. Music can touch the soul and regardless of who you are, it is a harmonious rhythmic experience that can resonate in the listener.
May God bless this girl ....in the name of Jesus where ever she is may God touch whats needed in the house and turn into a whole blessing....she made me cry by her voice wow
I think that is what the song is saying someone translated it in the comments. She is asking God for protection from the troubles of this world. That's increadible. Out of the mouth of babes....
It’s Zulu, Goes more or less like this Lord I ask you to protect me from the troubles in this world and I’m thankful that I’m in your favour Asante Sana
❤From SA 🇬🇭my first experience as an educator at high school morning assembly was lyk heaven descending, with different harmony voices. That's awesome experience ❤❤❤
@@islandknight6105yes Jesus Christ God in the flesh. Jesus said in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” In John 8:58 Jesus claims pre-existence, an attribute of God: “‘Very truly I tell you,’ Jesus answered, ‘before Abraham was born, I am!’” In response to this statement, the Jews again took up stones to stone Jesus (John 8:59). In claiming pre-existence, Jesus applied a name for God to Himself-I AM (see Exodus 3:14). The Jews rejected Jesus’ identity as God Incarnate, but they understood exactly what He was saying. God the Father bears witness of Jesus’ identity as well: “But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.’” (Hebrews 1:8; Psalm 45:6). Old Testament prophecies such as Isaiah 9:6 announce the deity of Christ: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” Jesus had to be both God and man. As God, Jesus could satisfy God’s wrath. As a man, Jesus had the capability of dying. As the God-man, Jesus is the perfect Mediator between heaven and earth (1 Timothy 2:5). Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ. As He proclaimed, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
The power this young lady processes in her voice is remarkable. I don't know what she's saying but I know it's from her heart and soul. Simply Amazing. I could listen to her voice all day. It's moving.
Seeing a South African choir is a must before I take my last breath...please Lord 😭😭❤❤🔥🔥 When South Africans sing...I really think this is what it sounds like in Heaven ❤❤❤
As a Ghanaian educator, my first experience at South African high school morning assembly was lyk heaven descending and I was just wondering if I was lost, waooh, with different harmony voices from different directions was a thrilling experience. ❤❤🇬🇭😊🇬🇭🇬🇭🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
It has to do with our past, we cried a lot the only way to shift our perspective from all the troubles we went through we had to sing. We sing when we are angry, happy, protesting or at a graveside
I bet the Lord loved it. Imagine having vocals like that and singing to the Creator. Just imagine…it brings tears to my eyes. You go girlll! Sing His glory!
As a South African this just gets me in the heart 😭❤️ this is a Worship song, we sing here😭❤️👌 may God continue to bless and protect our children 🙌❤️🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
@@JessicaHruzek-dt1eg You may as well get over it, bc Christ Yeshaya, Peter, John the Baptist and all you can think of are melanin. New Jerusalem is filled with them. Get used to it taking over without being upset!

I was a peace corps volunteer in Eswatini and my favorite part of that experience was hearing the morning assembly chorus at the primary and secondary schools. It was hair-raisingly beautiful.

South Africans are blessed with naturally beautiful voices. Anytime they sing, its magical; You can't just help it but love them. I love this country and their beautiful culture. I'm a proud Zambian, but I do love South Africa more than I do love my country Zambia.
