Very Good Pastor Bob Dude , I know I was led by God to be where I am now , I prayed to Him because I needed something I didn't even know I needed . So it is with the Church the Worship team :) Let Him lead you if you do , it will be better than what you could ever have imagined :) and it's probably not the places or people you thought it would be :) Bless you Brotherman :)

For me as a drummer or bass player I am just incredibly honored when my gifts and talents can be used to bring praise and glory to my Abba, to my Yeshua and to my Holy Spirit. Something I don't and never, ever want to take for granted.

Amen Pastor Bob. I'm glad you pointed that out. I've been in some worship teams that don't even pray. As you pointed out and going to say it like this "Whatever spirit you're in at that moment when you lead worship, that same spirit will jump on those whom you are leading into worship. Another good word!

Yes! Worship starts in the heart! Did you build those mug shelves yourself? I like building things like that!

"I was denied. He said my "family was not in order."" That is what it says in Timothy for the qualification of a Bishop. I Timothy 3: 2-5 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Many Church's are independent making up their own rules, traditions, and teaching/understanding of doctrine. I suppose it is the place of a Church to make decisions regarding who can or cannot be part of their ministry. We should always humbly accept the decisions of those in authority, unless it clashes with what the Bible says. Titus 3: 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. I think that person made the right decision moving on and going to a different Church.

It seems like so much "worship" in church today is like a rock show - smoke machines, strobe lights, swoopy video images on huge screens, and self-centered CCM top 40 songs led by tight jeans wearing, man bun soy boys. It doesn't do much for me . . .

Based on the limited information in this video, I believe that the worship leader who told him that he needed to first get his house in order was correct. God does not *_need_* us for *_anything!_* Instead, He _permits_ us to participate in worship, which is an act of joining with Him through love and adoration. If we ever get the false notion that _we_ are somehow _needed,_ then we clearly do not understand. To me, nothing better illustrates this than the life of Joseph. As you read in Genesis, Joseph receives prophetic dreams from God, telling Joseph that he would one day be so great a ruler that even his brothers and father would one day bow before him. Being his father, Jacob's, favorite son only made things worse when his brothers heard this dream. So they sold him into slavery and told their father that he was killed by a beast. For Joseph, this was a very trying moment. He could have lost all faith in God, believing that, if God were real, then certainly he would not be a slave right now. But Joseph was of such noble character that he remained steadfast in his faith. If you read the story, you know that things went from bad to worse for Joseph. He was unjustly arrested and placed in jail for rape, a crime that he did not commit! Again though, he remained steadfast in his devotion to God, which was reflected in his character. In the end, he becomes second in command over the entire Egyptian Empire, second only to Pharoah...just as his prophetic dream had predicted. And we learn that it was all made possible by God allowing him to experience the injustice behavior of his brothers, and of Potipher's wife. These experiences...and more importantly...his good character and endurance through these experiences prepared him to be capable of becoming a great leader over Egypt. We tend to become embittered by injustices rather than simply trusting in the Lord...that God's hand is secretly guiding all aspects of our lives for *_HIS_* purposes, not ours. God has no need of great musicians to lead worship. As a matter of fact, the *_worst possible_* worship leader is a _great_ one. Instead, God seeks the humble, not the great. When choosing a king over Israel, even the prophet Daniel made the mistake of looking at the outward. Instead, looking at the heart, God had rejected all of Jesse's sons...except for the last one, who was busy tending sheep...David. Let us be busy at God's work, trusting in Him to know what he wants from us, rather than telling God what we have for Him.

“Your family is not in order”? …I’m sorry, what? Lol What is that supposed to mean? Nobody has it all together or is perfect, so I’ve never understood the whole “well, you struggle with this/you are in sin/etc so you have no position in this.”
