I’m running this amp on my tweets and doors and it gets loud... it honestly exceeded my expectations.. i knew what I was buying from the start. But this thing does get loud don’t be fooled
I have this also. Bout to run it to my mids and lows. Hooking it to my eq db 7band epicenter 3:15 kicker comp c15 triple box pro bass. Yup bout to see what it does tomorrow. Mono block d 1chan 3k nemesis
Because loudness is a function of speaker sensitivity. And a lot of people think they need 250w to each speaker to be loud, when in reality 10-20w in a car with 4 speakers will get you very loud. Using a highpass will get the most out of your speakers as well as people should be using a sub for the bass.
@@roadare252 I wired it only using 2 channels. Positive to positive & negative to negative on both sides. I upgraded to a taramps 3k on my doors with 3 6.5’s in each door and ran them the same way and never had a issue
I'm guess this is louder than my factory radio being only 7 watts and later on I can probably just use this amp as my LOC & Line Driver. 6 volts sounds better than 1.
I had a Boss amplifier from around 1995 and that thing really pushed 12” subs like crazy. After the year 2000 is when Boss started making a lot of junk and went downhill from there.
Years ago I had 2 jl 8w3d6's bridged on a sony xplod 600 watt 4 channel...other 2 channels running my door speakers..sony single din hu...people didnt understand sound quality until they sat in my jeep. Fast forward to a couple years ago, got 2 boss phantom 15s, sealed box, and a 5000 watt boss amp, installed at car toys, ended up blowing them in less than an hour. Thousands of wasted dollars later I have 2 dc level 2 12s on a dc 1.2k, pioneer hu, a voltmeter, rockford 4 channel running my mids and highs...overall pretty satisfied but moral of the story is fuck boss, they should have warning labels on every box saying DO NOT BUY
I bought this amp for work truck 6x9s. There was so much noise form Alternator and other engine noise through the amp I can't use when van running. Replaced with other cheap amp same ground ,power ,rca inputs . No noise. Trash amp.
Remember boss onyx? The last decent boss. Those things were actually built well. And no not the trash "onyx" remake they have on their website right now
My son's good friend has a 1000 watt 2 channel Boss amp running (2) 8 ohm 12" MTX subs in parallel. It's weak and sounds like poop. I told him he needs an amp upgrade, because its 100 watts at best running at 4 ohms. 50 watts on each 12 ain't cutting it. I thought it was out of phase until I realized it had now power...
That amp does 300W @ 4 ohms and 500W @ 2 ohms. SO it's really up to you. Two DVC 2 ohm woofers with 250W RMS each for the 2 ohm load. Two DVC 4 ohm woofers with 150W RMS each for the 4 ohm load. Two SVC 4 ohm woofers with 250W RMS each for the 2 ohm load. Two SVC 2 ohm woofers with 150W RMS each for the 4 ohm load.
Bad. On. Some. Sounds. "BOSS" products usually perform at "subordinate" levels", there only worth the accessories that comes with it. Paper weight quality at best, at the CES show I felt the embarrassment of the reps wearing their shirts.
This thing has the same chip amplifier that is in most headunits. There's not even crossovers, so you're literally buying an external headunit amp with less features.
F**k I just bought this and haven't hooked it up and that Pioneer head unit is my exact one I use ☹️ so my head unit is more powerful than this amp I just bought for my 6.5s and 6×9s and 6 tweeters ? 🤦 I should of knew better than to go with sorry lame a** BOSS ,so what name do they call this a Quite Riot?? F*** that sucks
How can you recommend blaupunkt? They lie almost as much as Boss, don’t they? I know I’ve seen them on a dyno before. You gotta run a business, I get it. Everyone sips the boss and blaupunkt koolaid
