Having started in the early 90s with all balsa and light ply, it amazes me how quickly these foamies can be put back in the air. And they are surprisingly tough at that. Bravo!!

Great job Nate & Abby. I was most upset when you had your mishap, so glad you glued it back to life. I have this model & it certainly is an absolute joy. That elliptical wing certainly gives it presence in the air. Not unlike a certain iconic BofB warbird ! Keep up the good work - much appreciated. 👍

Wow, I cannot believe it's back up and flying already and how well it did fly! It looked amazing, great job filming, Abby! It would have been cool to see the repair process just so we have an idea for how much glue etc. people use and what may be too little or too much, but I get your reasoning for not doing a video on it too. Again, the plane looked amazing and your flying made it look very graceful up there, a real joy to watch!. Glad you were able to repair it and she lives on!

IT’S ALIVE !!!! Awesome job. Congratulations, glad to see it back in the air. Looks pretty good. The flight was flawless once the trimming was taken care of. Just a really great accomplishment. Now if a person wanted? You could use body or foam filler to really bring the nose back to showroom appearance? There is no end to RC modeling. That had to be a great feeling having it back. The grace of God is amazing. God bless.

Hey Nate! Look at 10:11 when Abby zooms in on your prop. You can see that it's slightly bent. The gap is bigger in one side than the other. Should be even all the way around. Hope that helps! Love the channel. I just steered flying because of you guys! Keep up the great content and congrats on the baby!

I re-maidened my RV-7 the other day. Unfortunately my inverted flight went into trees and only found a few pieces. But the Commander looks and flies great.

As long as you used BBQ skewers or some other similar structural strengthening method with the hot glue, it should hold up to any maneuver as if it was new. Great repair job Nate.

Nate its what I was worried about when I watched the first video. You're thrust has changed. I noticed the front of you're fuselage had wrinkles up on top just behind you're repairs. You're thrust angle has changed. Now in seeing this video it looks like its flying okay but you're going to lose alot of you're elevator control cause you have to trim it so much to correct it. I know you know all of this but I suspect you're like me (LOL) and very stubborn in that I'm going to fix it. It's awesome that you repaired it and darn good job too. Also balance you're prop it might help a little but the shaft might be bent also. Overall darn good job brother.

For inverted flight, move your thumb behind the elevator stick so you can only push the stick and never panic pull "up" into the ground!

Nate, get a felt tip pen with (roughly) the same color as the plane, and color in those cracks to finish off your repair work ;-)

Nate, you may have changed the thrust angle of the aircraft. This would explain the lot of upthrust you had to trim out.

Nice repair. Perfectly functional. Glad you got your fav plane of 22 back. "Hot Glue" is certainly the Duct Tape of foam aircraft. And I admit...I'm not sure a similar traditional balsa plane (what I've always flown) would have been repairable. Good video as always.

congrats! It's always a good feeling to have an airplane fly again after a bad crash. i almost always have a plane to repair and i have only got 2 or 3 planes. probably because i am still new to the hobby and not too good at flying yet.

Great video! Just yesterday i crashed my volantex rc p51 mustang, because of the elavator anonymously reversing mid flight... Bent the motor shaft, and broke the plane in half. And today im fixing it. Thanks for the motivation to finish the job :).
