I have combo skin. Mature skin. Tryed them all. My favorite is the L.A pro girl illuminating foundation. Cheap and cruelty free. Bingo💞

Same problems I have... I've never tried the L.A. Girl foundation. I recently tried the Rimmel matte foundation, and really liked it. I was super happy since I only had to pay $2.50 for the bottle. I've always had good luck with their eye shadows, but foundation too often feels like a crap shoot. Now I am curious about expanding my Rimmel collection. PS I also recently learned that they are one of the oldest cosmetic companies in the U.K. I'm amazed at times how much cosmetics have changed since I was a teenager! 😬

Also speaking of Makeup Revolution...they launched a Conceal and Glow foundation that is beautiful and feel like it's one of their hidden gems for foundations instead of that dew moisturizer one just fyi :) I haven't heard anyone talk about it. You guys should check out ANWEN's video of that Makeup Revolution super dew. It's crazy how bad that product didn't want to apply to her skim

My 2 worst were the Milani (in the pump) and then the Sephora brand. Both looked AWFUL! I have fair, dry skin.

Just found your channel recently and I am loving your content! I 100% agree with you regarding the il makiage. I was suckered in through the social media hype and marketing around it and I have never regretted a make up purchase more! It was so awful, totally wrong shade even with using their shade match function on their website and it just made me look terrible. Big fat fail. But love your channel! xx

I have personally enjoyed the Makeup Revolution Super Dewey Tinted Moisturizer. I have combination skin/sensitive skin. I use this moisturizer without any primer underneath, apply with a brush for fullest coverage, and set with the elf Halo Glow Setting Powder.

Tip for getting product out of squeeze pump tubes when pump stops working: you don’t have to cut it, just unscrew the pump cap, gently squeeze the air out of the tube and replace the cap. It should work for you again. You may have to repeat this step when it stops working again.

Shelly: you gotta try the Elf Plus Glow Dewy Spray and their Plus Glow Radiant Moisturizer (both pinkish bottles online or at Walmart). They leave a beautiful dewy sheen, not just dew and no glitter. Love this idea of showcasing worst foundations. I do find several foundations look much better with those 2 Elf products in general and not setting with powder (oily dehydrated skin person here with texture and acne). Elf also has an Oil Control Pore Minimizing serum (not a primer, used BEFORE moisturizer that does wonders too) Great video! 🥰

Skin chemistry is real. My face and wrinkles don’t like the makeup revolution fast stick, (perfect shade match) but I don’t prep my skin as well as Shelley does. I think I my mistake is using a magnifying mirror💀.

I actually really like Il Makiage. It works on me and looks super natural, which is great for a quick day out and about. I With not however aware it has a full coverage foundation or if I was dressing up and going out at night.

I saw in the comments on another review for the Hourglass foundation the suggestion of adding some moisturizer to it before applying to the skin. So I tried this and, WOW, did it make a difference! I thought I was going to have to return it.

Can you please review the new Dior Forever Natural Nude foundation. I’ve seen several influencers rave over it. It seems like something you’d love as well with your skin type. I tend to like many of the foundations you like. I have been using the Makeup Forever Reboot several months now & after watching your review of it. Please if you can do the Dior soon I’d be so grateful. I’m anxious to see how it works for you. I think the 1N will be perfect for me. It’s not in stores here yet in Florida near me. I will have to order it online directly through Dior. Thank you & I’ll keep checking to see if you review it. 🙏💖😊

That il makiage foundation is the worst ever. You’re bang on about people being paid to review it positively. That’s when I stopped trusting make up companies on the Internet. Please review Joe Blasco! It’s the best foundation ever!

I agree.with all EXCEPT I like the Catrice. Maybe it worked for my Dry skin because my skin for the most part, does not have texture problems, and I used a serious Hydrating primer first...I HATED the ILMakiage!!!

I’ve had Sally Beauty on my errand list for a couple weeks now, I’ve used their setting spray before- which is a good dupe for the Hourglass. If I hadn’t listened to your experience, I’m sure the foundation could have been an impulse buy.

Definitely cut that tube open. There is ALWAYS so much product left in them. The trick is to cut about half an inch from the end (not near the pump, the other end) and you can slip it back over the end (why can't I describe this correctly, you probably can find a picture online) or just scrape all the extra into another container. I do this constantly and you can still save it in your empties (I do)

I absolutely hated the il makiage one. It got patchy and separated and looked awful on me. I've got combo skin. Like right in the middle of oily and normal all over. And they only let you do the return thing once. So if your second pick isn't correct either, you are stuck with it

@@goow thank you!! For some reason, the original Colorstay works best for me 😂 even more than some of the expensive brands out there. I sweat a lot and I find that this foundation holds up better. Body chemistry is really something else!

The catrice foundation is quite okay'ish when I use it with Garniers Aqua Bomb (a gel cream, that might have a different name outside of Germany or Europe) instead of a primer. But without this or with Guerlain's L'or (my favorite primer) I just don't like it.

I have an oily t-zone no dry skin, I couldn’t find a primer that could get the II miakage to stay on. I sent it back I was so disappointed

OMG, can I just tell you how absolutely 💯 % GORGEOUS u look in that black top with the slight V neckline and cut out shoulders with ir hair Up and OMG, without a stitch of makeup right out the gate..im serious , ur hair up is so flattering and that style top was made 4 u.. ur skin just keeps getting more clear, glowing and beautiful as your growing older.. @@goow Thanks, that makes sense. I know combo skin is pretty typical, but it's still a pain in the bum. It wasn't so bad until I began aging and my skin wants to exert all kinds of nonsense... blackhead here, too dry there, shiny over there, lines up there... I feel like my skin is exhibiting some late blooming schizophrenia.

I got the IL Makiage. The bottle came with a broken pump. They let me keep it for free AND gave me a $50 gift card so customer was really good. The foundation worked for me but not worth paying that much.

Makeup revolution Super Dewy was a fail for me. So disappointed it didn't work. I have normal to dry skin. I went to Ulta and got the makeup revolution Super Dewy and the Morphe 2 hint hint skin tint. Neither one worked for my dry skin. I am 50 lol. But I don't have alot of texture on my skin. The morphe 2 was awful it felt tight and dry, very weird feeling. Lol. I guess I don't want to admit I have mature skin! 😂 Lol

The IL Makiage foundation looked like straight garbage on my 46 year old dry skin. The first package I was sent never showed up to my house, so by the time I got a replacement it was too late for a refund on the garbage product. It sucks because I’ve heard they have a great eye shadow formula, but my trust has been lost with that company.

Elf does this with some of their products I fall in love with! Do you remember that little makeup remover pen, the one that was non greasy, had a pointed end like a sharp marker, contained an oil-free makeup remover in an absorbent "cartridge" inside it and was phenomenal for erasing makeup mistakes around the eyes especially? Or their water wipes, no makeup remover in them just purified water. Both gone, and I miss them (especially that little MU remover pen!)

I didn't like the Il Mikage foundation at all. It just made my dry skin look horrid and the color match was not good at all. Also, I was a bit leary about this "best shade match" ever after I completed the survey 6 different times with different answers and it still gave me the same results all six times.

For me the worst ones are ABH luminous- it’s just overpriced Maybelline dewy and smooth. The hourglass one even putting face oil makes me look like my face is the dry bed of a river.

U likely have looked into thus...but the flakiness of ur skin that you report makes me wonder about the dehydration level of ur skin....esp. Since you already have very dry skin. I have seen only some of your content, so i apologize if uv covered this....taylor wynn may make reference to dehydrated skin w. Her use of accutane, hyram may discuss it.? I know Kelly Driscoll has many videos that address damaged skin barrier and dehydration that comes along with it! Check her out if u haven't yet!! Wishing u dry to NORMAL skin😉
