@@Sora2314I just started a playthrough of Origins on the PS2 and honestly I'm a complete pussy. Passed through the mirror in the hospital and I heard the soundtrack walking near reception and I almost shit myself. It always feels like something is chasing me and I CANT RUN ITS BULLSHIT. Honestly an amazing game, and I have no idea what it's even about. Good use of sound and atmosphere to fuck with your head too. My girlfriend refuses to even be in the same room with me when I play cuz the soundtrack just messes with her. Anyways, I didn't expect to leave a product review in a youtube comments section, but what can you do when you're stoned and excited about a game?
@@taxevaderyoshi5795 as ismatheking said, it's just up to your tastes, your mental constitution, and other simple stuff. My girlfriend and I both have mild post traumatic stress disorder as well as anxiety, so repetitive loud noises that sound like drums or someone walking after us gets us feeling way too creeped out. Could even be that maybe you're too used to getting scared that you just don't anymore. Mental conditioning does that.
The sniper usually chooses a hill and I've yet to see a game where a sniper makes a lot of noise before killing his target. The hill has to be silent so the sniper remains undetected.
I love how the narrator mentions his girlfriends name is Claire Anderson and then proceeds to say he got a phone call from a girl named only C.A. Wow such mystery
@@lilo5437 Harry's Japanese voice actor is apparently Shuichi Ikeda. The voice of Char Aznable, the most iconic character in Gundam. Neither voice actor was hurt by this and I'd argue that the dub is passable at worst from this.
Based on this video... The voice acting is actually punching far above its pay grade for a dub of a 2000 yen game in D3's Simple series. It is almost at the level that I'd expect it from a modern release. We could have better voice direction but we don't have inconsistently pronounced names. We could have another pass to make sure that the context of lines and performance matches more, but the actual "acting" seems alright. It definitely isn't helped by the presentation but that's totally detached from the actors since they and probably not even the Japanese cast did any mocap (doubt they had Char's voice actor do sniping as Harry, no idea how D3 got him besides between Gundam game recordings). I'm also not saying that the game is good. 2000 yen doesn't make it good.
The voice acting really isn't that bad. I'd say it's quite a bit better than most for the time. The lines are fucking terrible, but they're not delivered particularly poorly (the engineer guy being an outlier for sure)
