EVERYBODY RUNS... apparently. This better-than-most Worst Game Ever is based on the Tom Cruise movie of the same name. With ridiculous ragdoll physics, highly destructible environments and some truly magical cheat codes, we suspect it will be a while before everybody stops running.

Early ragdoll physics games were a special kind of awesome. I have fond memories of Hitman: Codename 47 and Severance: Blade of Darkness for the same reason.

I loved this game! Especially throwing enemies through scenery with the slow motion tweak activated. Hated how the trailer showed the proper spinning reload for the concussion rifle but it never made it into the final game.

Seriously! This was one of my favorite GameCube games as a kid. The physics, ragdolling, destructive environments and the cheats had me playing for hours. However I haven’t touched it since those days so for all I know it could be a case of nostalgia glasses.

4:33 Aww, I actually quite like the film! It’s directed by Steven Spielberg. It also uses Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, Pathétique as the basis for its soundtrack (not that any non-music nerds would care about that).

It's a motif in the film. There is an idea that only guilty people run or fear the police. The idea explored in the film is that whether you are guilty or not, whether they have seen a future where you absolutely commit a crime, you still run because you haven't committed a crime from your perspective... you are still innocent. So if you are innocent now, couldn't you make choices to continue to be innocent? Can you change your future, and has Tom Cruise condemned people that could have made a different choice? From our limited perspective, we'll never know... because everybody runs.

For the benefit of Ben & Peter... The three people in the pool at the start of the game are powerful telepaths who can predict when somebody is about to commit a crime. They work together and cannot predict if separated. They are called Agatha, Arthur and Dashiell, after mystery writers Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Dashiell Hammett. All the people in the chamber at the end of the game (the ones the developers' faces were mapped onto) are everyone who has been prevented from committing a crime by the Pre-Crime division. They're not in prison because technically they haven't committed a crime... yet.

I was on a train going across Canada once, and for the entertainment of passengers there was a small recreation room with a PS2 in it. They had two games: Minority Report and Pandemonium. Not the most obvious of choices, I felt.

The only suggestion I would make for the opening role selecting clip thing (I words goodly) would be to have different pictures for the master selection and the victim selection screens. I understand that would be a bit more work but I think it would be kind of cool. Having said that though, Worst Games is amazing so don't feel like you have to change anything. I'm only making this suggestion because you mentioned maybe changing them, and I understand it may have just been a bit you were doing but thought I would mention it anyway.

This game is so much fun. Replayed it earlier this year. Putting on the low gravity and playing the level where you have to escape PreCrime is the best. There’s like 40 panes of glass and I kept throwing people off the top level into them

Clancy Brown is also in The Green Mile...he’s the guard who’s not a piece of plops. He’s been in other movies but I can’t place him at the moment other than costarring with Tom Hanks in the green mile.

I remember loving this game back when I was like 13 because of how easy it was to throw enemies off buildings whenever we were on high ground in the game. Just throwing them off and hearing them yell was so funny :D I gotta admit tho that 16 years later this looks like a lame game now :p

I remember picking this up one at GameStop used for $5. Definitely had some issues, but for the price I paid and the game length it was definitely worth it. I'd have probably put it high 60's, low 70's if I had to rate it out of a hundred. Too bad they didn't get far enough into the game where you have the second fight with Agent Mosley; I'm sure the boys would've loved seeing John look like he was unbuckling his pants(though the camera shot focused on the upper half of his body). What was happening was arguably worse. Me: "What the hell; why can't I shoot him all the sudden?!" *Reads objective: Defeat Agent Mosley again. Really drive the point home by doing it without guns.* Me, realizing that unbuckling thing was John dropping all his weapons: "....FFFFFFUUUUUUCCC..."

I wouldn't say it's the worst. I mean, it was the early 2000's. What do ya expect? Still, I had a fun time with the ragdoll physics. I was just goofy throwing enemies around. But, I was a little upset back then that they didn't get Tom Cruise to voice his character
