Worst Multi-Effects Pedal Ever? | Line 6 "POD Express" Bass Edition | Review/ Tutorial / Demo 

Well, here I go. I have so many things to say about this video... First of all, thank you very much for it. I don't know if you're going to like reading this, but I really, really LMFAO, like big time. Best review I ever seen, I laughed much more with this video than I had with 80% of stand up comedy. This video was one of the first reviews to show up on my feed when researching this pedal (nice timing hacking the algorithm, man!). I'm completely new to bass, but played guitar for some years now, so I understand basic things. Like what it means not having any control on a compressor (wtf, incredible) Long story short, I've subscribed to your channel, immediately. And today I bought a brand new Zoom MS-60B. It really blew my mind (considering how old is this pedal, I didn't even took a glimpse into the manual, and it sounds 10000 times better than Amplitube, Bass Drive sound i.e. it's a charm) You steered me out of buying a crap pedal, pointed me to a good old skool one and made me laugh in the process. Thank you very much!

I’ve spent quite a bit of time with mine and have to say that I really enjoy it! Agreed that getting it to sound good with a high output bass is very difficult. However using my p bass gives me a great sound. Learning the button combos is a bit of a learning curve for sure. But once you grasp how this pedal works, it becomes extremely simple. I’ve never been one to dive deep into adjusting a ton of parameters and this checks that box. It’s a fantastic practice setup and a great portable back up rig. Used it for a church service last week and people were shocked at how good it sounded!

thank you for the review, I did buy one and your demo is helpful in navigating the features. Line6 just added pod express edit software and you can use your PC or Mac and edit the settings and tweak and add presets.

Completely agree with everything. I had the guitar version for two days and couldn't take it back to Guitar Center fast enough. I totally enjoy playing through my old Behringer V-Amp and ZOOM G1On way more.

I just ordered one of these for the reason that it doesn't have a bunch of menus and stuff. I have Zoom and Headrush pedals but I rarely use them. This one is nice because you can just turn some dials and get fast results. Plug in add a little flang or whatever

Exactly this isn't meant to be a full blown Helix. This is something you can plug and play. Find you a good preset which they have 21 to choose from. And you can play any gig.

Reminds me of the original line 6 pod. Have you tried the headrush MX5?

This guy doesn't even know how to use the pedal completely (too lazy to read the manual). In summary, almost two hours just saying the same he doesn't like the pedal.

You are right on it man. I got mine yesterday and spent an hour just trying to get some volume out of it. I been using Line 6 HD500 rack and HD500X floor effects and have been real happy mainly because I can plug them up to a laptop and control all parameters that way. I wanted to give this a try since it is the first bass dedicated offering they have had in a long while. If I could usb it up to my laptop and edit parameters that way, I could work with it. But with the finger gymnastics and unclear interface, I agree with you- too difficult, really takes the fun outta playin. Thanks for the tip though, Ima send this back and check out the Zoom since it can be edited via usb control.

i hear you on it being mid for multi-effects, but I think this is mainly to have a cheap amp sim and especially for bass, cause there ain't nothing out there like this. I would ask you how the headphone output is? you know for like apartment practice or something like that? thought?

Using the names of other products brings a lot of copyright trouble. So they avoid calling it like this.

Thanks for the honest review. I am a die hard fan of the MS-60B that people easily dismiss only because it's a Zoom product.

I agree this could have been done a bit better for sure. The volume leveling with the music for home jams and the bass and the entire pedal volume on the headphone Def disappointed

Okay, you didn't like it out of the box, but try connecting it to the computer and adjusting it to your liking. There's a way to customize everything as you see fit. Why did everyone make a review without ever connecting it to a computer even once? Such a review doesn't count as a proper review!

Theyre just trying to push people into spending 500 for a stomp (which is.... Mostly worth the cost). I agree though this pedal is *everything* wrong with multifx.

I just received one of these two days ago. I am not pleased with my purchase. The quality of plastic is so low that it feels like you got it from 5 Below. I've owned several Bass Pods over the years as well as Zoom and all the other brands that make modeling pedals. The Ampeg model is good, but the rest are not as good as even the Behringer V-tone, and much worse than the Zoom models. The affects are the same-they a barely usable. The compressors are okay, but not as good as the other digital compressors (including the Zoom patches). What this Line 6 pedal does excel at is ease of use. It is very easy to use and adjust. If it were $50-65 i think that would be fair. For the price I paid, it should have a metal case, much, much better quality input/output jacks, an xlr and better effects. I just don't get it? Was Line 6 bought out by another company or are they still with Yamaha? I can't believe Yamaha would put this out.
