A properly made 1930s football game actually sounds like such a good idea

what's sad is that a football game based around the early days of the sport is actually a pretty good idea.

I like how the default contract for the 1930s football game is $22,000,000 per person. $22,000,000 in 1930 money probably would've been enough to buy the entire NFL.

Great video Drew! I remember playing Front Page Sports Football back in, like, 1999ish? Early 2000s? That was a fun football management game. This version looks like hell. On a bad day.

Back in the day, the original FRONT PAGE SPORTS Pro Football was the best football game available on PC. This was way before Madden or NFL 2k5.

NO WAY!! This is 7 months late but I made Pigskin Punter!! It’s a little fun project I made trying to learn Unreal Engine. I played the hell out of the Front Page Sports game back in the mid-90's. It was a really good sim back in ye olden days of PC gaming. The version here, though, just looks like someone took the 90's version and stripped out all the user friendliness of the menus and then screwed up the physics engine.

I tried playing ncaa 05 and despite setting all the human def sliders to 0 and all the cpu off sliders to 20 playing with a B rated def vs an A+ rated offense on heisman the A+ rated offense couldn't score 14 points like any other team A game where you can't have a bad defense or a bad offense is unplayable because you can't improve

i guess drew hasn't heard of the LFL (now the x-league Extreme Football League) when he played the 4th game, which in 2012 almost got a video game by yuke (the developers behind the WWE and UFC games at the time) certainly would be a lot better and fleshed out then a runner. and a 1930 football games sounds like a perfect game being a bit different as its set in the glory days of classic football, a caricature of pre-“modern era" iron man football at a different time i do agree with you though it could use a lot of work in its gameplay and presentation. sadly, the developer of game 2 called it quits when he got burned on the development of the game years ago, a lot of indie game designers tend to learn the hard way that making complex sports video games, even football video games is not easy and after awhile it all becomes a very exhausting and too ambitious project to undertake. Capcom also tried to make a 1930 style football game for the psx, but it also got cancelled 2 months in.
