I carry with an empty chamber for two reasons: my ccw doesn’t have an external safety, and I’m new to concealed carry and I haven’t had enough practice with drawing to feel comfortable with not accidentally shooting myself on the draw. Once I get more practiced with it and get one with an external safety I’ll probably switch to carrying chambered.

Fun fact, I have been through that😂. Went hunting with my dad and his new hunting rifle. I set it on the four-wheeler and the scope came back, drivin right into my face.
