Okay Emma sleeping on that flight was the CUTEST thing ever! 😭❤️ Edit: So on the note of going through security again: London (the UK) technically isn't in the Schengen zone (like most of Europe is), so you pretty much always have to go through security/customs/whatever all over again. And THEN since you're flying to the US, you likely have to go through another checkpoint again. It's soooo annoying. That extra one at the gate though... yeah no, I would be so mad haha. You made it though guys! I can't even imagine the relief you guys felt when you made it. I got anxiety just hearing that story haha.

CulpFiction Vlogs imagine coming back to the states from Australia. A group from my church spent 7 weeks there last summer. Getting there was almost no hassle. Coming back was torture. Our originally scheduled non-stop to Heathrow got cancelled due to engine failure. So we had to wait for an extra 4 hours for another plane. Then once we got to London, 4 hours late, we got bumped off of our flight because we weren’t there on time. They were acting like it was our fault we got there late. But because we were traveling with a missions organization, we had to wait for like 3 days to get a flight back home.

Samm Mcclean haha I don’t think they mean to do that, cats are just more difficult to get excited about because they aren’t as excited to see you, where as dogs freak out when they see you!

Yes I flew from South Africa to New Zealand and had to go through security in Dubai and Australia. I flew 35 hours with a 4 year old!

Just got back from Europe. Don't be late for a connecting flight in London. You will never get through security in time. I totally understand why though so you get used to it. BTW, London is one of my favorite cities. Welcome home!

I’m Canadian, my fiancé is American. We travel a lot to see each other. I never have been on a plane before, until I went to the States for the first time. I noticed that when you’re traveling through a country to get into another country you go through normal security and then you go through customs. Customs always happens before you cross into another country. I found out the hard way as well with drinks. I didn’t open mine yet and couldn’t believe I wasn’t allowed to take it. Doing research helps you understand why they have all these things in place but yes they need to be more understanding and patient. I’ve had many bad experiences while traveling but it’s completely worth it.

Exact same thing happened to us, aer lingus kept us late and virgin were “last calling” us and they still sent us thru a hectic security!!! TWICE!!! Both times travelling, Dublin/Gatwick/Vegas!

That pale mint green onesie is just gorgeous on Emma. My daughter had red hair as an infant and is now strawberry blonde and that colour green is so beautiful on her too. So glad you have made it home safely. Your trip looked amazing...can't believe it is over already

What a horrendous journey home but thank goodness you didn’t miss your flight. Some of these airline security people can be so rude. I had it too once when I was in a wheelchair 😔 Big hugs to you all including your beautiful fur babies 🥰👍 xxx

I’m 13and I watch you’re video because there are rly interesting and educational for me since my mom did ivf 9 times and to have me and my sister since it’s hard for my mom to talk about it I have been here from the very beginning and you guys are very smart and lovely to Emma she is so cute congrats ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yeah connecting international flights make you go through security. They made me dump my water too from the plane and I was so sad. If it makes ya feel any better, it took maybe 4 hours to get through London customs

I had the exact same thing flying I to Dubai. My flight from London was delayed and I nearly missed my flight as I had to go through security again. I guess extra security is never a bad thing and they're only doing there job.

I lived in London for 9 years. They had years and years and terrorist problems with Ireland so they are crazy with security..... you have to go through security because you came in from a different country ... it's a headache

@Becky Yang It's the same if you fly from Australia to NZ then on to North America - you go through security in Australia and again in NZ. It's a little frustrating but all airlines recommend 2-3 hr stopovers in case there it a delay. I try to keep it in perspective and be thankful that they are checking everyone's belongings to make sure we have a safe flight 😊

The terror threat in London airports are at the highest so that's why there's extra safety checks which isn't always a bad thing :/

We recently traveled from British Columbia Canada to Europe (Salzburg, Austria) to visit family. We took our then 7 month old & 2.5 year old. Our youngest was born Aug 2. 2018 close to Emma’s bday! Anywho..it was an amazing trip we were gone for 2 weeks and I literally starting bawling when we walked into our airport at home. It is so hard travelling with children, I feel for you!

hey guys! so happy to see that you guys had such a good trip and had a safe flights home! I went to Spain last year for my senior trip, and in Germany and in Boston (both were stops for connecting flights) I had to go through TSA 😩 And of course, in both I had a random bag check where they swabbed me, my backpack, my clothes, and I had to open my backpack. It was scary bc this trip was my first time out of the country (AND without my mom), and the lady had to walk away to check the swabs so she called a guy over to WATCH ME. I was about to shit a brick bc I was so anxious. But I definitely understand your guys’ annoyance about having to go through TSA after not being told that you would have to (bc I also wasn’t told), and it was just an overall crappy time.

London airports are the worst!! I once missed my flight there because of security (it’s like they know to pick you when you’re in a hurry!!) and they are so incredibly strict.

Yes we had a security check through again between New York and Denver... (from London) ,, and we had to run like hell to catch our connecting flight ....nightmare. !

Travel days are already so stressful! Security was, maybe tighter because of Trump’s state visit to the UK, all my experiences with London’s airports were great, so I’m sorry you guys didn’t experience the same. But the best part of travelling is coming home to the pets, welcome home, guys!

Kudos to you!! I’m so sorry about your connection issue. Heathrow is the worst! Unfortunately anytime you are connecting to the US you will have to go through security again, and sometimes (like at Heathrow on united) there is an additional security check. I always try to plan at least two hours in heathrow and Frankfurt. Glad you had fun!

This happened to us in Frankfurt on our way back from Kenya. We had to go through security from a connecting flight. I had a bottle of water that was given FROM the previous flight. I had forgotten about the water in my backpack when we went through security. We were totally treated like criminals because of this water from the previous flight. We had no idea we were going to have to go through all the high security again, but sheesh, it was terrible. And Frankfurt was an experience in itself. SO many security check points. It was crazy.

We had a VERY similar experience on our layover in Manchester, England. Ours was coming in though from Atl to Man trying to get to Dublin... our first flight was delayed so we did miss our connector. Same thing with not expecting another security check and NO one being helpful.. we did all carry on luggage except our son’s stroller which they lost. It was a mess!

omgosh guys! that’s horrible! i would of freaked if i was Justin’s mom! and ya i would of been crying n had a full blown panick attack going through all that then having to run that far to catch your flight! horrid! so glad your home! you need to rest!

If you guys have any time in Orlando, I highly recommend going to eat at Santiago Bodega. I know you’re likely on a time crunch, and may not have a car but their food is SO YUMMY.

International flights often have security checks during connection, sometimes security agents are so bad that they won't even let you to empty the bottle, they make you drink it, and it's not their problem if you're late for flight, TSA agents are angels compared to some others around the world

That happened to us on our way to Florida from northern Saskatchewan. We ran across the airport felt like a 20 min run but when I got there the pilot was standing at the ticket desk and he said don’t worry I was waiting for u they can’t leave with out me cause I am flying this bird he was amazing ( he was from united)

Every connecting international flight we've ever taken we've had to recheck luggage and go through security again.

You have to go through security every time you’re entering a new country... so Ireland to UK, UK to America. Pain in the bum but something to be aware of for future! Sometimes the checkpoint is on the other end (ie go through security once you land in LA) but usually not.

I just got back from a school trip to Germany and we had a stressful time in London also. It's just so big that its hard to know where to go. Glad Emma did good on the flight. There was a baby on mine that was screaming for hours. I can't imagine traveling with a young child, but you all seemed to manage it just fine.

Being rushed with a baby in the airport is horrible ... I took my daughter from Alaska to California... thr flight from California to Alaska I was rushed my friend put my daughters stroller up and she didnt click it together right and at the ticket counter the stroller folded up with my daughter in it and then we made it to the gate right at boarding so i had no time to get water for her formula .... it was a very stressful trip

I took a connecting flight from Paris (CDG), and we went through security like three times and it was super confusing. 😅 I think because you travelled to another continent and changed terminals it was necessary. If you landed and ”touched the ground” (took a shuttle bus to the terminal), a security check is necessary for the connecting flight as well.

My sister and I were coming home from LA and the LA to Salt Lake City flight was delayed...when we got off the first flight, they were announcing boarding for the 2nd flight to Milwaukee...Salt Lake City airport is HUGE, so had to haul ass running but we made it! I know that feeling.

Yup! That's English airports for you,especially the big ones,very strict (which i can understand) but definitely a little bit rude,when i fly back to Ireland from England i take such a deep breath when i land in Dublin 🤣

Omg, we had exactly the same experience flying from Amsterdam to LA. Except that we did miss our connecting flight at London and had to wait 6 hours for the next one... On the way back we barely made it. So happy that I hadn't had my daughter at that time. The next time we're skipping Heathrow and taking a direct flight for sure ;-). So nice to hear Emma was the sweetest!

We live in Scotland and travelled back from Orlando via London Heathrow last year and it was thee worst service we have ever experienced. They were incredibly rude had no customer service skills at all.. they treated everyone like criminals. I understand they have a duty but it doesn’t cost you to be at least polite.

Don't suppose your connecting flight was from Gatwick?! My mum and sister flew to Kos (Greece) from Gatwick last September. Most Airports say a clear bag of a certain size is acceptable with an unspecified number of liquid containers as long as they are 100ml or less. Gatwick decided, despite it not being on their website, only 10 x 100ml items are allowed in a clear bag. They made them throw everything else away! They had to repurchase their toiletries in Duty free because they only had carry on. They were vile about it too.

I know that people have stressful days that make you react in ways that you probably shouldn't but Airport Staff need to communicate a lot better with travelers... Imagine if that was your very first flight... it would make you want to NEVER travel again... I've only ever been on flights with my family, i couldn't imagine trying to figure everything out on my own. 💕
