I am always getting angry when I see CAT 770G described as "worst" or "useless". This truck is absolutely powerful and amazing and do the perfect job as mobile fuel station (2000 litres) or heavy rescue unit. It can pull almost anything from even the deepest swamp or snow and I use very often since Season 2 and I am never disappinted by it. That's one of my favourite trucks in whole Snowrunner
You gotta admit the cats should have been able to haul trailers when they launched. The cats got unique trailers and would’ve definitely added some variety in gameplay
@@darthgonk5648 Yes, it will be awesome, but in that case CAT 745C will become absolutely OP, so there is a reason why this truck can't equip trailers. But I really wish that devs some day add a high saddle to CAT 770G - this monster is just built to haul super heavy trailers, why limit it pull power only for 1 contract or rescue missions?
Definitely some valid points. The only reason that I put it on this list is because it only has one mission that it can be used in - the rock one in Yukon. If an ability to haul trailers or a high saddle were added to the 770G it could definitely be one of the best trucks in the game.
I used the CAT 770G to pull the train engine in Wisconsin and it can almost always dislodge any other trucks with its torque when they are stuck. That being said one bump on a road or path and it wants to swap ends and no AWD is a hassle.
Weird take on the Caterpillar TH357. You most definitely can't use cranes to lift cargo onto platforms that have roofs. That's the one job for CAT TH357.
I think you have some valid points in most although i don't know some however calling Fleetstar unstable i disagree,this truck is not tall even with the elevated suspension and compared to ANK you can see the difference,the problem with Fleetstar is power,not good enough,White Western Star is solid and you forgot about the other drunk acrobat Paystar 5070. GMC i also agree only because of the DLC for AWD and you also forget Western Star Twinsteer for the same reason.😅
Honestly, I think that the Fleetstar is one of the most unstable trucks, although it may not look like it, it likes to flip over a lot even without raised suspension. However, your points are valid and thanks for commenting!
The cat 770g should have gotten to unique trailers such as the rock trailer but instead of rocks it’s cargo like the ggms mod and a ramped flatbed trailer. The little forklift should have been able to pull trailers or at least come with a small ramped flatbed to justify in bringing it with you on trips.
OK you've clearly never sold the boom of the CAT TH and used the thing as just a regular scout. Sure you have to snake around water, and sure it's not very fast. But it's tires are super grippy making it great in mud and snow. Being such a small vehicle with 4 wheel steering it's super nimble and can turn on a dime. It's extremely stable and very hard to roll over. And if by some miracle you do roll it, it has an autonomous winch. And to top it all off it's very fuel efficient. It may not carry extra fuel, but the 110L it has goes one hell of a long distance. You're almost always certain to reach the next fuel station. To say the CAT TH is only useful as a telehandler is quite frankly kinda insulting. Also the Apache isn't very stable? I've done my fair share of scouting with that truck, honestly I use that truck (and likely scouts in general) I'd say a lot more than most. If you asked me to describe the Apache, unstable isn't a word that'd come to mind. If we were talking about the Yar 87 that'd be a different story but the Apache? I'll just say there are plenty of scouts I've tipped over more than the Apache. Heck since Season 11 I've had the Burlak on it's side several times. Haven't rolled the Apache once in the same time frame. I also use the Derry 31 all the time for saddle low work. I have no problem dragging cargo along with it in the Offroad (or Advanced Special, whichever it has) gearbox. I've gotten through plenty of mud with it, it has a good size fuel tank, less burn rate then the Navistar (which I also like, but damn does that truck drink like there's no tomorrow), it's quite stable. I also don't have that much trouble with the dead axles on trucks that have them.
@ 2:02 with the Derry Longhorn, can't you change the suspension in advanced settings to drop/rasie the 4th, 'dead' axle? You can with the CAT once upgraded.
Really liking the new season 11 map. Alot of these trucks are actually pretty usefull there due to the large amount of paved roads. combine that with the military RNG Bridge layer truck mod and you got a good time.
Although i like the western star 57x but why better option? It lacks diff lock, it has low ground clearance, and it sucks in deep terrains, also why derry longhorn 3 is worse than DL 4? It basically has the worse P2W In the whole game and i use cat TH357D AG for cargo loading for realism
Solid points. Personally, I prefer the DL 4 over the DL 3. I used it for the plane mission in Kola and it performed very well. I haven't really used the DL 3 much so maybe I need to give it another chance
@@thegamingrat1The DL 3 has Always On AWD and Diff lock, yes the dead axle can be troublesome with rocks and some terrain, but stick a highrange gearbox and it will be real good.
My thoughts exactly. I find the 3194 to be more responsive than the 4520. I've certainly pulled some heavy semi-trailers with the 3194 on difficult terrain and it did a good job. There are times when I use the 4520 that I wonder if I'm running with the handbrake on! //Rick
