I suck at disc golf and knowing is half the battle. I grip lock, I hit trees, I throw nose up and miss foot 10 putts and I still love the game. As long as I have my coping mechanism charged up I just let it slide and let the frisbee fly
I've only been playing since last summer (and didn't get to play nearly as much as I wanted last year) and whenever I have the worst score I always say that I played the most disc golf, so really I'm the true winner, getting more of my money's worth XD but it's great fun, and every once in a while something else clicks that makes me improve little by little while getting to enjoy nature with my friends
Taking a "funzy" off of EVERY tee and EVERY putt you miss. Yeah we all want to throw a funzy from time to time. But on every hole gets a little redundant.
Me and my friends definitely don't rush while we play since we are basically hanging out while playing the game at the same time, cracking jokes, shooting the shit, etc. But we try to be mindful of if there are players behind us. If we know no one's at the last hole, we're more likely to be like that, but if we know someone's coming up, we will get our shit together and just throw instead of talking, and then we'll let the players pass on the next hole. And even when we are talking and stuff, we still don't take that long between shots. Cheaters are the most annoying. Someone that plays with my group sometimes kind of acts like they don't want to be playing, they just want to be hanging out, but then somehow they're 10 stroke turns into a 3. Or they'll give up halfway down the fairway and instead of saying so they'll tell the score keeper the last stroke they threw. It's kind of whatever to me because I know they're not serious about the sport, but what I don't understand is if you don't want to play, you can just walk with us and watch, I think the person thinks they aren't being included as much by not playing but that's not how the rest of us would see it. Plus they'll be texting on their phone when it's time for them to throw. But even knowing their score doesn't really matter even to them, it's irritating to hear them blatantly lie especially when the rest of us are genuinely trying to improve our game and want to be honest about our scores so we can see the results and try to beat it next time. I feel like cheating at disc golf just means your cheating yourself. And don't get me started about the person I know that somehow gets all aces and birdies when playing by himself and shows us his scorecard but when he plays with anyone else suddenly he's having a particularly bad game, hitting every tree and wanting us to let him mulligan every throw (we never do) and doing the worst out of all of us. Like, yeah buddy, I'm sure that you ace this hole every time you play by yourself.
Dude you are hilarious, reminds me of the wisespade the way you straight up dog people, keep up the great content, I literally lol at some of the shit you say! By the way I am I am one of the people you trash talked, I am 48, throw all Innova, I bag a first run champ boss for distance shots and that’s it, fairway drivers sidewinder, mid’s 1x mcbethroc3, champ gator, and a beat dx aviar for turnovers, any heavy beaded aviar works for putting
My biggest whine are large groups (+6) of suck players, who don't offer playthroughs, clogging up the courses on weekends. I've had to barge through groups of 8 to 10 players as a single or duo.
Alright, time to head to the course to blasting music, range find from 10' away, anouce every single shot (only to smack a tree) but then blame birds that were chirping too loud. Then wheel my cart of only bergs and beers to call my card mates for throwing ever so slightly off their lie. But it's ok bc I give them advice like throwing nose up to gain extra distance (upwards). And finally when it's time to putt, I'll of course step putt from 10' away bc the circle was "poorly marked" (it was a little hard to see since I chalked a little too much). And finally after playing a round with my 6 best buddies, relaxing with Cupcake putting compilations.
So knowing how far you have to throw the disc so that you can be as accurate as possible is cheating? Nah get out of here with that bs. I can understand not using it on teepads but even then some of these courses do NOT get their distances right
I’d sing along with you if I heard you singing “Two Hits and the Joint Turned Brown”. In my opinion, YMSB’s cover is better than the original….. Now you're tryin' to light your roach while you're drivin' down the street (Two hits and the joint turned brown) But it's too small to smoke and it's too big to eat…….
How about the dicx that play through without even making eye contact... In their own little world.. where frankly I hope they stay. Or the guy we're waiting for that won't go due to that person 400ft away... yet you feel rude saying GTFO then, we're playing through.
