Well the biggest difference is, that Trukey would have lost even more of it's lands, but then fought back against the first treaty and then was allowed to keep the lands it occupied at the time of the treaty of Sevres. You could argue, that we also fought back under the leadership of the communists in 1918, but they didn't fight to keep land we would otherwise loose, but to join the fuccking soviets. Then they took whatever valuables they could and fled the country, leaving the invading troops to do whatever they want. Then there is also what @isbadatnaming said. And there are a lot of other reasons too. The land is actually one of the weakest reasons why we despise Trianon. I mean, being bigger wouldn't be bad, but the biggest issues were the amount of Hungarians locked outside of now Hungary, the fact that almosr every industrial sector of Hungary was taken, the fact that the railway network was completel, fuccked, the fact that we now weren't in an economic pact with any nation, etc, etc. The point is, that the treaty destroyed the country so thouroughly, that it can still be felt nowadays. And that is why we bitch about it, because we can still feel and see the effects. Now, of course, maybe if the communists didn't take over after WW2, we could have rebuilt the nation to a point, where the problems caused by Trianon become negligable, but the communists di take over, so tough luck. Being in the EU solves a lot, but isn't perfecr either.

@radicalesotericcentrist Well yes. I am still baffled how they could do that, given the fact that the german empire literally only existed because of Prussia. But then again, you can hardly complain about Versailles, given the history of Germany following that treaty. I am not saying we are saints. We were also in the Axis. But there iy a categorical difference here.
