I can't believe that they both lived. That's some kind of miracle. I'm always so impressed with how you guys clean up accident. That's a true talent, and a scary job. I hate that they don't stop traffic. It puts everyone in danger. From the fire departments to the EMS who work the scene, to you guy taking care ofthe vehicles. Great job.
Hard to believe that Semi driver wasn't a fatal, sure hope she wasn't badly hurt and gets a full recovery. Really looked like a mess but you sure figured it out quick and you boys got 'er done!! Great work to the Pep's crew and another great video. Thanks!!😊
Thank you! And right? I knew it wasn't a fatal because it didn't go to evidence and the coroner was not there but man, I would have bet all my money it was just by how the cab looked.
Josh I'm sure you know this, the slider pins on that chassis if it's an air slider just spin onto the 30/30 brake can and are snugged with a jam nut. The outfit I run for has the Tri-axle version. Outside my Dump chassis. My favorite chassis. Crazy that it sheered the 5th wheel off that Freightliner. That chassis is only 30 ft long closed. I got rear-ended in my truck back last fall I stopped for traffic 48mph to 0 in 4 sec. 2 sec. Later I got tagged to 2 mph. Every one was fine. No damage to my truck or chassis. The SUV was totalled.so I was shocked that 5thwheel Sheered off.
Josh I've been watching your video's for about 2 weeks now. There are 2 things that impress me most about you sir. Your knowledge of recovering these vehicles and more importantly your work ethics. I'm 75 and watching younger generations standing waiting for others to do what they could and should do baffles me. You are always checking and doing everything, you remind me of how I was when I was working or doing nearly anything. As always thanks for the great content, stay safe guys.
Thanks for the compliment! While I do formulate these plans on the fly, I also have a great and receptive team to work with that can follow my lead and help get this stuff done super quick
@@PepesTowingService This team of guys knows what the other is thinking before they say it. Sympatico. I donknow this man's history but l really really like him. Stressful job that easily explains and has fun doing it. Even those stinky jobs!! lol
Big props to Mercedes and Freightliner engineers for not saving money on safety when designing the cab… I’ve seen a lot of nasty accidents with Cascadia trucks but drivers managed to walk away with only bruises and scratches… Freightliner is part of MB Daimler trucks group
Mind blown that this didnt result in a fatal. Especially after watching the short clip of the dash cam. I hope that tractor driver makes a full recovery. Great work by you and your team!
As a senior in high school i worked on weekends doing footers or foundations for new home construction and one morning for no reason i hid and didn’t answer the door when the boss came to pick me up and on his way to the job site he rear ended a semi and the trenching machine on the back of his truck came forward and completely crushed the passenger side of his truck cab. I would’ve been dead no doubt about it. What told me to hide and not go to work that morning when i never missed work?🙏🏿
@@DiabloBlanquecino I have had divine internvention I think, but a completely different scenario. Back when I was a dumb teenager in 2006 I got a DUI and I had EASY to find drugs (pills) in my pocket and I was search twice with pockets pulled out and it was never found. I don't know how that was even possible. I know it's not even close to the same thing because I was dumb back then but still.
2 mins from my home. Trip to Home Depot was canceled because of that. Was brutal for sure, watching CHP and the Fire Dept fly down DB Blvd was crazy, it was like a "calling all cars" situation. Good work as always guys, that section of fwy is vital, you guys were quick considering the severity.
Awesome video Josh !!! Very quick recovery of those wrecked trucks . Those cabs on both trucks definitely looked like a double fatality accident . Both those drivers were very lucky not to get severely injured . The wrecked flatbed tow trucks looks to be a Hino cab /chassis and it looked like the cab held up to that impact
I am so glad I retired from truck in 3 1/2 years ago I did it for 13 years all over the United States no speeding tickets no accidents I could still be driving but I get off the road because of all the road rage
Wow. I just saw the crash on instagram or TikTok this morning and here I am watching your video. Super surprised everyone walked away. God bless and be safe out there!
I drove by this accident and thought for sure it was fatal. I’m so glad I found your channel and even happier to find this accident that left me wondering about the victims. So glad everyone made it out alive, I finally have closure, it was one of the worst accidents I have ever seen as well.
Iam 64 yrs old I’ve operated a wheel lift and flat beds. I have never ever seen a better crew than this you guys are awesome And amazing ! Thank you for what you do God Bless
Been watching for a couple years. Thank you for letting us into your world. As several permanent disabilities, hinderes my ability to work for my family owned towing operation. Keep up the great job & be safe out there.
''Worst wreck I've seen so far'' ...... Week ain't over yet. We need you in Baltimore Sir. Now THAT was a BIG WRECK !! Prayers for all those who lost their lives. They were here working making America great and lost their lives. RIP 🙏
I've seen many of your videos and watched how you go about rigging the overturned trucks. Just been watching that huge crane getting in position to lift a piece of that bridge that fell. Looked like they were getting ready to hoist up a guy in a bucket to rig it. You guys who do this type of work are amazing!!
I hate that part of the 60. Especially bad right now with the 71 under major construction. The back-up is so bad and so many trucks stopped in the lane. Gotta pay attention to the traffic up ahead and not be too close. Especially when loaded. I realize it is easier said than done. Glad all the drivers are ok. A testment to how well modern trucks are made, and maybe a bit of divine intervention. The amount of force it takes to shear off the fifth wheel slider from the track is a lot. Sends chills down the ole spine. Good job, as always.
It's worse as you take the freeway to and from Ontario. They re-did the lines for the lanes and it's so confusing in daylight because you can't tell which lane is which lol
Whoa that’s wild. Poor drivers. You know they’ve had a rough day. Hope they all get checked out. Even if they feel fine they really should go get assessed.
I love how professional everyone is. You have to be otherwise you aren't in business long. I've known for many years that there is more to towing than just hook a line up and pull but the more I learn the more I see how one has to have knowledge thru experience and knows how to work well with others. You all did a commendable job. Stand proud man!
You have a good crew that work with you. It’s cool you thank and appreciate your guys. You and your Dad /uncle are very humble. It makes Pepe’s a great place to work
Man I worked for Sanders for 4 years and seeing that truck brings back alot of cool memories. Thanks for the great content and keep up the good work, simply outstanding. Be safe out there sir
Honestly, 9 times out of 10 you want to plumb air as close to the compressor as possible. I genuinely fell in love with towing trucks with the older Cummins blocks, because Cummins used to put an R134 fitting (i.e. the same connector that's used on the air conditioning system) on the metal compressor output line. There's a neat little tool (which comes in a full set, I can toss you the link if you want... super useful, paid for itself multiple times within my first week of having it) which can utilize that fitting and a quick connect to get air into the system of the truck you're towing real friggen quick. Like, full air hookup in less than 5 minutes quick. Some trucks the play is to disconnect the compressor output line and hook an adapter directly to it, some trucks you have to go to the air dryer and force the system to pressurize in reverse, and some trucks I've had to pull drain valves off of tanks and run air directly into one of the tanks. Many many ways to get air into the system... the bigger challenge is certain types of drivelines that refuse to play ball when you go to pull them. To this day, I well and truly *hate* pressed-in drivelines
❤I like the way he hook-up everything and he explained everything and the other tow truck driver n the wreck wasn't hurt my prayers to everyone for a full recovery recovery
I saw a video on Facebook that showed this wreck happening. I think someone's dashcam videoed it, but it shows that truck crash into the back of the other one. It was on a Facebook page called "That'll buff out".
Ugh as a first responder going on 19 years inner city next to 2 major highways I’ve seen a lot of horrific stuff. I forget sometimes that you guys get the aftermath, but on our blue tarp calls (too many mangled bodies in the car so we put a blue tarp over it, y’all get it on the wrecker then we follow you to the police impound where we meet the coroner, funeral director, and we spend however long it takes matching parts to people and put the remains in double sealed body bags for forensic processing at the coroners office. After the parts are released to the funeral home then their loved ones can prepare for a funeral. After the car is as empty as we can get it we have to decon with water, tons of bleach then cover the runoff into the ground. It’s awful. One of my worst was a drunk driver going the wrong way on the highway blacked out (he had his lights off) hit a mini van with a whole family plus mom who was 34 weeks pregnant passing through with their 5 kids on the way to FL to take their kids to Disney. That whole ordeal took 9 hours from on scene time to wrapping up at the impound lot. It’s heart crushing, makes you kind of hard, numb…and the driver died to so no answers or justice for the family. Thank you for what you guys do helping us out. Sadly you are right in the middle of it. 😔 Prayers for all involved in this one. 💔
Seeing the way that far too many people drive it's amazing there aren't more wrecks like this. Well done Pepe's team! Glad the drivers are able to tell this story!!
This is amazing. He's talking about weight distribution & angles just like a math professor in grad school. Never underestimate the abilities of people just because of their job! Be safe buddy. Nice work.
Great to see Jeffery again and what can I say about Hulk just awesome. Great job guys and glad to hear both drivers are fine. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.
I am happy you channel is growing ❤the channel and you guys you are awesome Like you saying peace out and be safe out there . I am 67 old woman but love your video's
That looked like a double fatal at first glance. The gal in the tractor got crazy luycky and i hope there aren't any permanent injuries. As for the worst mess on the channel...it is the most mangled i have seen on it for sure. I do appreciate you cutting in in the middle at home I am assuming explaining what happened to the gal driving the tractor. Seeing the fifth wheel plate still attached to the trailer chassis is crazy when you think about seeing rigs dangling over bridges and the like being held up mainly by the king pin. A great video as always Josh🙂
in my mind as a former truck driver, it's never overkill to do the job right the first time in a safe manner. kudos to all on the crews who did the recovery. I hope this doesn't dissuade either driver from continuing in their profession.
As far as the tow/rigging aspects are concerned, YES having the right equipment on hand, coupled with experience gets the job done quicker and safer. Well done sir!
been some years since subscribing.. I am on the other side of the country in a quiet state. I am convinced on a national scale, your one company does more of this work in a week than any other.. for many weeks and years on end. Quite phenomenal.
Love watching these recovery operations, even better when no serious injuries. You have an awesome tow rig, & sick skills! Looks as though each one of these scenes is a very unique puzzle.👋✌
Pepe, you did a great job bro. Love watching you work on the real freaky stuff. I love that you’re a great human and a humble guy. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Peace out !!!!
I love your videos. Much engineering goes into dealing with such a wide variety of wrecks. Beautiful, expensive, well maintained equipment. You and your employees do a great job. Now for the complaint, I am a 78 year old Vietnam Combat Veteran. I avoided body piercings by ducking at the correct time. I don't understand why people drill holes in their ears, noses and where ever else. Pull the rings out of your ears and restore them before you are old and your ear lobes are touching your shoulders. Thanks for your video work.
Good video! That flatbed tow driver was going pretty fast. That chassis was in an extended position and the locking pins were completely sheared off. Driver has long road to recovery head of here. 🙏🏽 but thank god no fatalities.
As a crane operator, I've been to rigging class, just so I know enough to say something if the real riggers mess up... This always amazes me how you guys plan everything out and get things to move right where you want them, even while directing guys like me!
I just want to say that those guys peeps tow trucking company out there in Los Angeles California. You guys are doing one hell of a job you guys making sure that everybody else gets a toe and making sure you guys have everything else that you guys have going on. I’m glad that you guys got brand new truck so glad that you guys got good friend to come also help you out and get you to do good and bad situation’s at least you guys are doing your best so keep up the good work maybe one day I’ll come out the Los Angeles and visit you guys one day. I am watching you show right now so you guys take care God bless.
So the flat bed tow truck rear ends the semi; the fork lift crashes through the tow truck cab! then the semi trailer takes out the tractor cab, very lucky drivers. I can't believe how much use you guys get out of the Landoll Trailers. We see Flipper and Hulk a lot, It would be great to see a review of how many trucks it takes to run your operation.
I always wonder, how you have time to Edit these videos. a lot of channels that have gone the RU-vid advertising route, have hired professional editors.... and since they have done that, their "style" has changed from "Action as it happens" to Drama and special views that obviously had to be orchestrated... Kudos for keeping it straight, and omitting the bloody messes, we don't need to be the Rubber Necker in the other lane, that causes more accidents.
Thank you for noticing! I am a control freak when it comes to my channel. It's why I film (Alex films too which helps) and do 100% of the editing myself. From the thumbnails, titles to the descriptions, I do it all. It's VERY hard to do 2 videos a week. But the fans love it and the videos get such positive feedback so I keep doing it!
My sister drives a semi 29 yrs my prayers are always with her, and these guys r awesome and amazing how they get n there and get it done very safely my prayers to the tow truck driver all of them
The trucks are absolutely gorgeous and it must make you feel so good to know that you’re able to drive one of those trucks and able to help these big rigs out absolutely fantastic
