Dude you are so right about people in California losing their minds when it rains. But believe it or not here in the Midwest they do the same thing. You guys did a great job. Kudos to you all!
I really love your professionalism. You made this job, as well as all the others I have watched, looked so easy. I'm glad to see there are towtruck drivers like you out there. The way you caught the tractor and set it down so easily. Great job for you and your crew. Im now a fan of your channel from now on.
Your last comment about rain and driver not knowing how to drive in the rain is so true. Growing up in SoCal saw a lot of them. Now in Colorado and hard rain here would panic most driver from CA.
And yes, Dave does have a nice looking truck. I love the flames on the side.. you guys are making me drool with all these trucks I’m a 71-year-old female and since I was young I’ve loved cars like the old cars and I still love cars I like fast cars I like anything that has some speech to it right now I’m driving a Nissan SentraLord Almighty never thought I’d see the day that would happen so when I see these trucks I am in
Josh, I don’t think your followers give a damn if it’s an hour or long we just enjoy the videos no matter how long they are and all we can do is then go to the next video and watch so don’t concern yourself about the length of the video you do fantastic job all you guys your fantastic trucks you have wonderful attitudes you have a great camaraderie that’s why things get done so well
Great to see Dave's point of view. Josh, thank Dave for all of us Pepe's Towing fans. If he agrees to film his recoveries as you and Alex do, I imagine you could post nearly DAILY 😀
Honestly, I could do that now between Alex and myself. It's just SO HARD since I do 100% of the editing, titles, descriptions, uploading, etc. All of it start to finish. I have to price invoices, emails accounts, pay bills, all the stuff that involves running this place PLUS RU-vid lol. I tried 3x a week for a while and it burned me out lol
First of all nice U guys still working ur asses off, and its nice to see Dave, haven't seen him in a minute..... Anyways I wuz wondering I totally forgot what the name of those things that come out of the sides of ur trucks for balance, don't U need both sides extended, becuz U guys only had one side extended......
That whole area around the 710 and the 91 interchange gets flooded when it rains like that. Lots of areas, actually, from San Diego to LA flood out every year; been doing that since the beginning of time, maybe.
It's interesting that each of you rigs differently during a combined lift. Is that based on the gear on that rotator, or preference by the operator? I must be learning something, because I thought "he'll use an auxiliary line to pull it back together", and then you did. Do we know what damaged the upper surfaces of the truck? More than a 90° roll must have happened. Unless he bounced off the side wall during the slide?
He rolled into the right side shoulder our passenger side and bounced off and landed where he did. Both lift and catch were in use so instead of disconnecting the main lines it was easier just to use the aux line like having a set of extra hands they come in handy
Do you guys sell hoodies with your logo on it? I have zero knowledge on anything you guys do but I’m fascinated by everything. Since I’m from Australia i shouldn’t be wearing a hoodie anyway, it’s like 45c today but still I like it
ive followed their channel they are very fast ive seen other guys take forever on these calls . they also unload the trailer while pepes rolls them over loaded.
From start to finish, one hour usually. That's from the time I arrive and hit my parking brake, and includes setting up the trucks, rigging, pulling it upright, putting the trucks away and going in tow. There's no reason it should ever take longer, but some companies take HOURS
You and the other guys at times should show all or alot of your trips to and from so that we can see all the crazy traffic Not just a glimpse. I imagine most big cities are about the same but we live out in the country and truly out of touch with your reality.
"Dave vision". I *LOVE* it!!! So many times we don't get to see what he is doing. Or, hear his "colorful" commentary. HaHa. Thanks Dave for playing along, I love watching you work! Another job well done!! I have to wonder, where did all the dirt and grass come from?? Dude rolled it in the middle of the road. My theory about why people drive bad in the rain, "Brain matter dissolves in rainwater". Be safe (and dry) out there!!
Agree. Idk how Josh managed to get such a following running this channel solo for years while posting absolutely nothing and just talking rubbish. Someone should fire that guy@hitzmanji1978
I was my experience that the more it rained, the more screwed up the tasks become. Experience makes it easy. Unusual to hear the voice of Super Dave. Enjoyed the video a lot! Thanks
Geez Josh you post good content and you get attacked because of it. Great job to you and Dave was weird seeing Dave with the GoPro and not Alex lol hope Dave will record more
Right! I have no idea why. People always reach out to me in the industry and Im always willing to help and share my knowledge, yet for whatever reason I get attacked like I'm out here running a pyramid scheme and faking my credentials
@@PepesTowingService one thing I remember you quoting one day was “hand them the remote” let them see if they can do what you do. Just thought I’d let you know that I joined the membership🫶
Don’t they have scales on the cranes at the port when unloading these containers? I never knew how much they weighed until I scaled out at gate going out. Then had to go back and fix the weight to get legal
I handle logistics to an international company that exports lot of containers to US LB area, and as I soon I saw the ctnr number it seemed familiar and I checked if handled😂, I was relieved that it wasn't a ctnr that have our product but feel bad for whoever stuff inside
Dave, you’re not talking to yourself, we’re listening in on you. If you fart we can hear it, I just thank God we don’t have to smell it. Nice truck Super Dave
This is the first time I heard you say “IDIOT’ when the truck slowed down. My compliments for never using bad language in your commentary, you speak immaculately 🤙🤙🤙
In my experience, the more it rained, the more complicated the tasks became. However, with experience, things became easier. It was unusual to hear Super Dave's voice. I really enjoyed the video! Thanks.
That yellow plaque on the inside of the controls panel is amazing from whomever thought out to put it there. Easy to know how you should position the arm of the crane PS: also that crane rating is a scam. "It can do 50ton in the most useless position." Nah bro, you should be forced to advertise the usable angles capabilities when you sell cranes, on the side usually....and with small print saying like when is packed on the rear it can do xxx tons, but you won't be using ever like that"
The rating is just by default, it's a base and the max. Agree tho, you'll never say "oh ya that weighs 100,000lbs? let me just back up to it fully retracted to lift" lol.
suggestion when disconnecting drive line wrap then caps with some kind of tape ot stretch wrap to keep from falling off later when moving down the road
Great videos, great operators and great trucks so thanks very much. Quick question if you don't mind, why do you disconnect the prop shaft, I think you call it the drive shaft. Thanks from Wales
From what I was told (@PepesTowingService) Josh correct me if I’m wrong the drive shaft has to be disconnected before towing because if not it will damage the transmission
Correct. This is mandatory when you front tow. The rear axles spin the drive shaft, and when the truck is off there is no lubricant going. It's a huge rookie mistake, not pulling it then boom you have a $30,000 damage bill lol@@laura_774
been seeing alot controversy about what these rescues recovery costs would be helpful to see a rough estimate of costs i know your truck are not cheap to buy or outfit accessories and when 2;are needed on same job van get expensive for someone
A Hatter is someone who makes or sells hats at a haberdashery. Which is what they call a men's clothing store on Rowdayoh Drive for 300% more than anywhere else.
Josh. I feel privileged to be able to watch your videos. We're not the ones working in the rain , heat, lookie loos and endangering others. Glad Pepe's people enjoy their jobs!!❤❤
"Twist Locks" are mandatory on all containers in Australia now. They lock in and held in place by a spring loaded lever. To release you have to push and twist, bulletproof. They only come off due to numpty operators not locking properly. Nice job in the rain, efficient and professional as usual.
