I just got the Triple Black and wore them to work at my PT where I walk & stand for 5 to 6 hours and they were comfortable. I had to get used to them because I normally wear Ultraboost 22 for max comfort. I did get some heal slippage while walking. Got plenty of compliments and head turns. Out the box comfortable. Comfort 7.5 out of 10. Definitely for swag not running.
Just got all black.. the most fire sneaker ever… looks so damn good on and kinda look regular to me in terms of not being as obnoxious and noticeable as I thought they would be

The shape and design on top is beautiful, except the bubbles doesn't match the rest and comfortable to walk but never to run. I feel like they've tried to innovate by copying yeezys or Balenciaga's design but failed. I still prefer my mint condition: 2017 Air Max (white color + white reflective logo) 🔥
Genius move by Nike. No matter how amazing and effective Nike foam technologies are it won't get too much attention. This? Definitely will get people talking, be it sneakerheads or not. I think these look stupid....but I would be lying if I say I don't want to grab myself a pair; as my curiosity for how it would feel on-feet and how other people would react to it trumps my common sense.
It happened a lot in luxury brands, like Balenciaga, Vetement, Versace, etc. They created a ridiculous item that grabs people's attention, it's like a publicity stunt item. however by the end of the day people will look at their page and trigger an acquisition to the brand.
These things helped me realize why all those foot lockers are closing down, these things, for the most part will sell them selves, if not for the crazy look, the fact that they’re intriguing enough that you don’t need a sales associate to bring these things out of the stockroom for you, this could be straight up DIY.
Speaking of comfort. I took a long walk today and did a bunch of other walking while visiting my parents here in NY with some Freerun 2.0 that I ordered on sale a couple weeks ago. (Can't beat $59!) Older technology no doubt but very comfortable and no problems on my end for the amount of walking I'm doing! Solid enough gym shoe as well especially for cardio.
i think your conversation about Nike containing to innovate Air when they have several foam compounds that perform incredibly well va Air or even Zoom Air is really interesting. Personally i think since the 270 Nike has been pushing air innovation as a comfort tech rather than performance. The 720 and Vapor Plus/Evo all featured a slightly softer foam compound that enhanced imo the feel of the air unit and really evened it out. I think from here on out Air is used either as Cushion like how the Lebron series had been using (impact protection and such) or just lifestyle cushion as seen in every new Air style. Definitely an interesting move by Nike but one that i think makes plenty of sense. Air Cushion was initially thought to be an energy returning system, but Nike has quickly caught on to how much better Zoom Air is at that. Right now like you said with super foams, the foams are much much better at storing and returning energy than Air is. Foams can be more elastic and resilient, and tuned to be more responsive or snappy. The more pressurized an Air unit is (not zoom for the sake of discussion) the harder it would be and would become more like the carrier foam that’s already stuff to give the unit body and stability. This is why most Air units are pressurized way less than a Zoom Air unit, kinda similar to a regular car tire versus a thin bicycle tire. Overall i’m very excited to see how Air cushion continues to innovate and im also very excited in which direction nike will take their super foams and zoom air. Great review as always!!!
Exactly. Zoom Air is the better performance. Air Max now seems better for everyday average comfort now, though there's nothing stopping you using the 90, 95, (not the 97s given how it's constructed now) Plus, and such on a usual jog given running is Nike's forte.
I love flynit vapor as I have all colorways but this sneaker is just not appealing to me for some reason so I’m glad you said it’s not comfy it doesn’t look practical I bet if you wear the feet will likely turn over causing a sprained ankle or something along those lines.
I don’t think I’ll wear it. It looks like orthopedic platform shoe. This is a shoe for show and attention. I think it’s a good shoe for short people who want extra inches to be taller. This shoe is by far Nike’s biggest, tallest air units.
I honestly don’t care that much about the cushion with these I just think they look awesome. That’s prob because I’m a huge fan cuz f the 720’s and the LeBron 19s to that’ll tell you about my preferences. Love it can’t wait for them to go on sale
The upper is awesome and would be perfect if it used a vapormax air unit. Not gonna lie tho these still look pretty cool IMO and I’ll be looking to buy at least one pair haha

You should try RC Elite 2 rather than Fuel Comp. Because RC Elite 2 is using Fuel Cell (ACL). Super Comp just using ordinary Fuel Cell. Midsole of RC Elite 2 is the same as New Balance Rebel 2, but with max cushioning. So, for me the best max cushioning shoes either Invicible / RC Elite 2. Try it & let me know your opinion. That's exactly right, do we even need this shoe at all? When these large corporation green wash their product, say how eco friendly this and how much recycle material that. Bottom line is they want to sell more shoes. As a result, more will go to the landfill and more resources are going to be needed to make them. I buy shoes so I'm part of the problem but at least I don't pretend to be earth friendly.
Maybe the yellow foam (under the upper) is there in case you bottom out the air midsole. In that case, you still have the foam there to cushion your foot bed?
Another great video. Thanks Hes! I love how crazy the outsole is, but the upper is too bland IMO. It would have been great to see an organic crazy design like talented designers are showing on Instagram. Also, it would be cool to have a totally blacked out or iced out version…
The issue with Nike Air is that they started marketing it as cushioning when really it's more for weight reduction. But then when zoom came and foam came there really isn't a need for "Air" other than for aesthetics and marketing.
Thanks for bringing another cool review. Imo the aesthetics are ruined by the oversized airmax unit alone. The fact that they’re heavy and uncomfortable makes this sneaker virtually useless to me. I’ll pass.
I thought the first pair of the vmax was the pure plat/ pure plat. Don’t buy the invincible, they are flawed. The sole’s rubber react materials shed. On the Scorpion the Flywire will break before long and your shoe are pretty much dead, well, in other words, don’t use it as an everyday beater, like all the comparison (720, vmax even the 270❤) those are not everyday beaters and more of a fit/silhouette //rotation. Sorry for being a bit off topic because that’s a very good video overall I just thought it could be relevant. Thumbs up, I love that you review different type of sneakers and we have similar tastes for sure. Gonna go watch the peg trail gtx video now😅

My airbubble popped after 68 days from purchase. Only used them for work. They blew out at the seam at the very back of the shoe. Now one shoe is alot shorter. Don't know if I will buy again. They are so comfortable tho.
I’m good on this air sols shoes I just had to throw away my 720s because the sole popped some how. The shoe still looked new and amazing then you have to watch what and where your walking because anything can pierce them and that’s that. They were comfy but if I’m throwing away 200 shoes cause the sole gave way where a normal sole wouldn’t then I’m good.
i gave up on air max with out rubber protection because they kept popping and i returned them to the nikestore because they was like 3 weeks old. i would have bought nike zoom but most of them have white sides and bottoms that would just get dirty when i step outside. not thrilled with nike colors this year, i got some rebook zig techs. i predict a reebok comeback and i getting on the boat early.
I am going to buy but this shoe might hit outlets but I really will buy them they are going to catch a few eyes just like the vapormax plus and vapormax's did .it's really up to the person on comfort and style
Imma have to disagree. The air technology is a literal life saver for people who are on their feet all day. I have zero pain/fatigue after a 12 hour shift with air. The foam shoes cant even compare
I dig the upper material like you said visually, I do think I would like to try that air unit but I dont think I would buy them for most of 200 $ That upper sitting on a nice looking foam midsole would be unable to resist. * What?!? 225? 😏
