A cynical part of me suspects that the reason there are no factions is so they can sell "operator" skins without getting in trouble. I mean, twitter would have a heart attack if you could buy an SS officers uniform. Also, they seem to have the formula of releasing a great game (MW 2019 and the new MW2) and having a mediocre game in between (Cold War and Vanguard).
I think you might be right. However, I think Battlefield V managed it pretty well without any trouble. They offered regular uniforms and then some spiced up special uniforms. It worked fine, why can’t CoD do the same?
@@AndysTake I think its because of the fact that they made half the operators are racially diversed and female making them unable to fit into the ww2 german army(and almost any ww2 army in general)and also in this way they could sell more operators because they dont have to take the parent army into consedaration
@@AndysTake " Battlefield V managed it pretty well " No they didn't, they censored Swastikas and other Nazi symbols and still got into shit for using some masks and cameo that was used by Infamous SS brigands like the Dirlewanger Brigade. It also had plenty of other stupid shit like Females in every single army and all that bullshit with prosthetic and tattoos. BF 5 was guilty of the same sins as Vanguard, if anything the latter suffered more because it went even more retarded with the woke revisionism.
Let me just repeat myself what i have said on other COD Vanguard videos "Its not COD Vanguard, its Cod Modern Warfare ww2 edition". Heck all those games are accessed by the same menu, they all connect to WARZONE, and they have a lot of similarities. Funny enough COD WWII is probably a better WW2 game, and World at War probably even more so. The Gun customization (for a WW2 game mind you) is ABSURD, truly many CURSED GUN IMAGINES will be spawned form this game. Funnyer still now that i think about it, they had Vehicles in Multiplayer in Modern Warfare (ground war mode i think its called) and from what iv heard they don't have any in Vanguard. And their marketing was "hay guys check out our new Destruction mechanics", DEAR COD DEVS JUST MAKE A DISCOUNT BATTLEFIELD GAME ALREADY! Im sure everyone would love it.
For a moment I thought this was going to be an all out negetive review on Vanguard but you did gave a balance of good and bad points on it that I can totally agree on. I can definitely agree on the MP part of the game which loses the sense of a WW2 game. I think having these operators fighting themselves since BO3 starts to lose its meaning.
The difference between the 2 is that WAW focuses on the authenticity of WWII and historical accuracy , but Vanguard is just modern warfare with WWII weapons , doesn't care about historical accuracy
"My team vs. enemy team", hmmmmm......🤔 Does anyone else feel like this game was influenced by a certain video? "Here you are, playing your ww2 multiplayer shooter, and all of a sudden you're a n***!"
If you want a believable WW2 experience, play Hell Let Loose, the best one on the market right now. Gives me old Red Orchestra 2 vibes. I've given up on the super arcadey shooters--there's not much heart left in them.
One thing to keep in mind is that almost all of the CoD titles were developed by Infinity Ward/Treyarch while Sledgehammer has a track record for developing lackluster CoD titles.
I’m really looking forward for MW2. I enjoyed Cold War’s campaign but I hope they continue that story from that or else it’s gonna make the whole thing feel pointless
i hate the out of place quotes like "formation only slows me down" or "awww no more nazis to kill" like, the formation one is plain stupid cuz getting out of formation is just straight up stupid, and the nazis one is just cringeworthy, sure the nazis are bad, but it's not like you enjoy killing like a psychopath, and a lot of nazis didn't even liked being the bad guys, but if they deserted they would be brutally slaughtered
the operators in vanguard are similar to special forces which is why they aren't wearing uniforms because they don't want to be identified. As far as not mentioning the specific factions (germans, russians are whatever) with today's political environment they are most likely not trying to offend anyone so they don't want to identify factions. I've read several articles of people who were "offended" by the use of the nazi symbols in games and such (yes i know they did it the campaign which was more in tune with WW2). good review though
Thank you, William! I personally believe it’s fully possible to include historical symbols and features without promoting them or offending. It’s a historical game after all, and one could even fully remove the swastika while also having regular German uniforms present. You’re right in that they’re supposed to be special forces, I just personally think it’s the wrong choice and serves to make the game feel a lot more arcady than immersive. Thanks for leaving a comment!
@@AndysTake I believe what you are saying as well with the uniforms. Unfortunately that’s not the environment we currently live in. If I, for example purchase a pack that has a German soldier in it, I would be getting for historical purposes. But if I am playing the game and my nine year old daughter has a friend come over to play and that friend then goes home and tells her parents (who are a minority) that I have one and use it, do you think her parents believe I’m using it for historical purposes? More than likely they are going to think the worst of me.
Call of duty Vanguard is the worst WW2 game ever made, they literally shit into historical accuracy, and the enemies are so fucking stupid that makes the PS1 war games looks much more difficult, and the campaign history makes absolutely no sense, why a soviet sniper would join to a british team instead of fight with her comrades and how she get there by the way? Other think is why one pilot fight against the japanese imperial army on the Pacific would join to another team in Europe, it makes absolutely no sense, and these tactical reloads animations just doesn't fit with the WW2 guns and looks ridiculous and of course the thousands of attachments, some of them don't even exist on the 40s.
