I'm in the middle of watching the video so maybe you'll mention it but I've been dying to know and haven't seen or heard of when it'll be available in store. Thanks for the review...they are sooo informative.
Julie Trejo too faced mentioned on Twitter that it would be at Ulta April 2 and Sephora April 14. I have asked at both stores and was told they don't know if they are the stores that have been selected to carry it. I am not sure if it will be at all locations.
Sad, I really wish it wasn't limited edition. Hopefully it's still available around May when I have extra money. This would be perfect for someone that has never tried anything from too faced - which I haven't. Awesome review, Emily! You're the best on RU-vid
Rebecca S totally agree! I think a lot of people that have a few neutral eyeshadow palettes already say that it's just unnecessary but if i didn't own my chocolate bar palette and naked palettes I would get this one immediately. I'd rather carry this around instead of 3 different naked palettes to get as much variety
Rebecca S yes!! I was so bummed after buying it because all the Beauty Gurus (who got it in PR) were not impressed and kinda talking crap about it, I don't own any Too Faced eye shadow palettes so whatever I'm excited to receive mine on Wednesday 🤗
I have this palette and tbh the colors are beautiful but it is so hard to blend and it is not very pigmented plus the shimmer shades just are completely horrible to apply. Love the colors but hate the formula.
So relieved to hear this positive review, I ordered the palette yesterday. As someone with very fair skin, what I'm looking forward to using are those first 3 rows. So many palettes lately have been geared towards warm toned looks, and those can be difficult for me to wear. Thanks bunches for the review Emily!
So how'd you like it when it came in? It is literally in my ulta cart rn online but I'm so nervous if I won't like it, still kinda new to make up so I'm not sure because I haven't had any high end stuff yet, still on the elf train lmao but I find the eyeshadows for elf just are too shear and don't look too great
That's exactly why I bought it. It has important colors from palettes I had been looking at for years and never bought but also includes those soft pastel colors I love and some other deeper pops of color which are fun here and there. Definitely unique and worthwhile for someone like me who doesn't own a ton of palettes already. I tried UD Naked 3 when it first came out and the colors just were not what I wanted (not soft enough for my fair skin) so I returned. That was $54 for only 12 colors! So with Too Faced creating a 30 color palette with gorgeous soft colors, lots of neutrals and deeper pops of color at $59, this price knocks it out of the park! So worth it!
Vanessa Puckett exactly! Everyone complains about repeat shades but I don't see why someone would get this if they already have other nude palettes or similar shades
I've been annoyed that youtube is unsubscribing me from channels unless I get the notification bell thing, but having the notifications for when your videos pop up was the best decision I've ever made! You're incredible!
When I saw this palette on ig I was positive I didn't want to buy it. But since I don't have the natural eyes palette I figured I could benefit from grabbing this palette....but honestly the lack of mattes is killing me. I don't shy away from shimmers but I think a palette should have an equal amount of shimmers and mattes. I may need to see this palette in person before making my final decision.
Gaby's Beauty Room I feel the same way! Especially since Too Faced has such great mattes in some other palettes. It's disappointing to me as well, because I wish there were more mattes.
heyltslori I love the name and color. Love love cool colors. I am fair to light with a cool undertone and green eyes. I think cool works best on me. Especially since I only wear blue mascara 😜
Emily, I don't usually comment on videos but I felt compelled to do so today. You are absolutely amazing and someone I feel I can trust on RU-vid. Your videos are so detailed and informative. I want you to know that your affiliate links don't bother me at all. You deserve every dime, especially because you do not do sponsored videos, which I really appreciate. In fact, if I see products I want to buy from RU-vid I plan to come back to your affiliate links to make sure you get the commission. You deserve it! You're the best!
I gotta tell you I absolutely LOVE your reviews of products. You always do such a great job of swatching the products, showing them off and thoroughly explaining them, as a consumer I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it!
Can I just say, I love how genuine you are. I can just tell, the person you are on camera is the person you are in real life. Love that! Why are you at 1 million subbies yet?!
I've seriously been waiting for you to get your hands on this palette because I want you to review it first before I buy it. I am so happy to see this, thank you! 🤓
The way you describe the shadows is so intelligent and I just love how you explain the details and how they work on the eye and what makes them different. I could only hope to become as good at having that eye for makeup the way you do❤
Glad you mentioned there are not as many messy glitter/texturey shades in this palette. I was actually planning to steer clear of it because of that very reason. Sometimes the texture of their shadows can be.. a little different.
You're in my top three favorite and most trusted youtubers, Emily! Without a doubt, your reviews are the most professional and thorough out there. Thank you for your great work :)
I love your channel because you're one of the few RU-vidrs who gives HONEST reviews and is not just trying to sell to us. This is so pretty...great swatches! I need it lol
here is my issue, tati mentioned that her Nikki tutorials palette was good when so many disagreed (that goes with the Christmas palettes this time around too) and she said maybe too faced has 2 factories making palettes because some ppl don't have any issues w their palettes and some are just shoddy (to the point of needing to be retured). how else do you explain so many 50/50 reviews right? but I have to agree, something is up w too faced. this was not an issue before, but now I can't stand it.
Yibi G I've noticed the same, they're so hit or miss now. It really seems that the issues started when Estée Lauder bought them last year. And unfortunately every time the Lauder house buys a brand, it seems they try to duplicate the formulas in their own factories and fail. Hopefully they're past this by now and we can back back to the quality we know from Too Faced! 🙂
Yibi G I'm so glad you mentioned this. EVERYONE raved about the Lorac Unzipped palette. Mine had no pigmentation. NOTHING. I returned it. The same goes for the IT cosmetics natural palette. We are not all getting the same quality.
Yibi G She said they have two factories instead of saying some people just were lying about the quality. Also we need to remember PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean I won't.
MsFears Too Faced was acquired by Estee Lauder. Possible there is different factory. This is a ridiculous amount of shadow that most makeup users have already. Time for some nice cool toned shadow. Quads are the best!
Searched for tutorials for this palette, which is still one of my favorites, used frequently. It's beautiful. I'm not usually a fan of shorter hair, but I love this look on you.
Maybe it's just me but if you already have a neutral palette or two or three from too faced do you really need this? For $60 definitely not for me. I love the natural eye and natural matte palettes, but I already have them. I don't need duplicates of them. I really wish too faced sold duos again!
yeah i get that! Because a person could get some great looks w/ Natural Eye and Natural Matte- for sure. I think the appeal might be the convenience/combination of Natural Eyes with other shades, some unique neutrals thrown in, nice quality and well-chosen mattes... for me, that's what I like about it.
melbell713 im sitting here debating too. i have a bunch of the other too faced palettes... but darn it its so pretty! i think its the fact that they re all in one palette that is so appealing. i think it would be great to travel with. but then again, i have a five year old. realistically...where the hell am i going? 😂
Agree, it's a bit lame if you have a sizable eyeshadow collection. I get it is the one stop shop for the girl looking to building up her eyeshadow collection. Personally, even w that being the case, there are better neutral eyeshadow palettes available imo. This looks like a decent palette just not lust worthy. An easy pass for me!
Love watching you Emily!!! I have been binge watching your videos for weeks while I'm getting ready for work in the morning and when I get home in the evening and I'm relaxing. I have made many makeup purchases after watching your videos. Love how real you are!!!!
I got to get this for my mother, she is quite pale so pink tones are really flattering on her but I also like that there is some warm and neutral. Basically a great palette it seems for someone who doesn't own much makeup.
I just ordered from Sephora and should have it tomorrow. I got it for my 50th birthday i loved the neutrals, shimmrs and somtimes i like to kick it up a notch. I appreciate your opinion. Thank you.
Oh my gosh, YES!, please give us a TON of different tutorials with this! I am in LOVE with this palette and am saving for it now. It looks like you could get just about any toned "look" from this palette and keep it in the wearable realm. I have light skin tone and find myself not able to use eyeshadows that are too bold in an everyday look b/c it just looks like overkill I am too light overall. I need light and wearable and this looks like perfection.
BTW, it's really nice to hear someone embrace this palette for what it is... a diverse but natural collection. Everybody I've watched have been poo-pooing this palette bc it's neutrals and "boring," or b/c it has some shades that are not punch you in the face pigmented... IMPO, when you are going for a neutral look, you don't always WANT a shadow to punch you in the face every time. My take is that you need some strong punches but you also need some lighter handed elements (like that pink or the golden dusting in the first look) that can be an almost unnoticeable wash but add the right tone or just take it up one notch lovelier.
Since you have so many of these original shades in your collection, could you compare the repeats in this palette with the "originals" to see if they're the same quality? So often they aren't...I'm reminded of your video about the Benefit blush palette.
they seem to be the same to me! I swatched all of the duplicate shades that I could find in my collection and the only slight difference I could note the first time I swatched was the one shade taken from Natural Matte (Spotlight) - but then swatched again and they looked exactly the same. So that might have been an error on my part- having a little moisture on my hand or something.
I was waiting to hear your thoughts on this. I have held off from purchasing because I just can't seem to count on Too Faced anymore, which is so sad because I love them
Once again, one of the most thorough, well thought out, and useful product reviews I have seen. Thank you! I have been eyeing this palette and going back and forth on whether or not it is for me. I very much appreciate your detailed and articulate assessment, as I am not a shimmer or glitter fan, and now that I know that the shades are predominantly sparkly to varying degrees, this will be a pass. Thanks again.
Thanks Emily, really enjoyed hearing what you had to say about this Naturals Palette because I am considering it. Before I fork out the money I wanted to know about the quality of the shadows, whether you thought there would be a lot of looks that could be created and how these colours compared to some of their other palettes which I could purchase instead. I appreciate the fact that you have spent a lot of time using this palette before you did the review. I know I can count on you to get the best rundown on what I would be getting should I decide to purchase. You described this collection as an enhanced neutral palette that's got those Matte shades but also lots of natural shimmer shades. This would be a palette chalked full of soft neutral looks and as you mentioned there the pinky plum look, the honey bronze look, a cool neutral look and a soft rusty brown 👀. I would be very happy knowing I could get at least 4 looks plus some shades could be worn on their own with a coloured eye pencil. I loved those two looks you created. I would end up calling this palette my shimmery naturals palette. I don't currently have that much shimmer in my collection. I do mainly like Matte shades but on the lid or in the corner of my eye I think a satiny colour looks so pretty and these colours are so soft and feminine I think they would only compliment what I currently own.
I think this palette is perfect for my sister, who is in high school. She's starting to get serious with playing around with looks and this seems to be a nice, one-stop shop. She can get it all.
I was really worried I saw a lot of mixed reviews on it. I decided to go into ulta and swatch it myself. So glad I didn't pass it up I have been using it literally every day since buying it. I feel like I can really trust your opinion as well. You have never steered me wrong yet! Love to you and your beautiful family!!
Your videos are so informative and fun to watch. I rarely even buy makeup (because I'm a broke college student) so I don't even need this information most of the time because I know I'm not going to be buying whatever it is, but I still just love watching and learning from you!
Thank you Emily ! I have come to depend on your professional, clear, and concise reviews for products. I also appreciate your clear explanation on the links you have in the description box. We can all depend on your no-agenda reviews. I also love watching your videos with my coffee! 😉
Hands down the best review on this palette! Very comprehensive and answered all my questions. I also really appreciate that you demonstrated different looks. Thank you Emily! Aloha!
Hi Emily, I want to say I really enjoy your channel!!, most of my purchases are based on your recommendations, thanks for including all skin tones when reviewing products! Enjoy your day!
good morning, Emily! Great review. I love all matte due to my aging eyelids so I'll pass on this one but the colors are just so pretty and I were little younger I would definitely get this one. My favorite pallette si the Tartlette Original all matte pallette. I use it every day now for a year. I love it. I think they packaged this one you show very well considering 30 shades and a good large mirror too.
Ah this was the review I was waiting for!! I don't have any too faced palettes (my only higher end one is lorac pro) and I've been drooling over this since it was announced. So glad you liked it, looks like I'll be biting the bullet and picking this up once it hits Ulta!
I convinced myself I didn't need this palette but then I watched your video..... I don't have the TF Natural palette so the fact that I had some of those shades pushed me over to the "need" side :). Actually I'm grateful for this video and happy I wont miss this LE palette. Thanks Emily.
I'm usually really good about not falling for a palette and just walking past it. But I walked into ulta and I just fell in love. Omg. I haven't liked a too faced pallet since the vegas nay pallet. I'm so impressed and can't wait to use it tomorrow.
I agree. This is a fantastic and surprising neutral palette! I love that it has shades that aren't necessarily cool colors but have cool undertones vs. the usual dark jewel toned blues, greens and purples in most cool palettes. Warm colors just don't look good on me so I'm very pleased to have this many cool neutrals to work with. That being said, there is still a nice mix of true neutrals and warm shades. You really could do just about anything with this color selection! I've only played with it once so far and I definitely should have worn a base since the darker shades weren't quite as pigmented when applied with a brush. But I'm always a fan of Too Faced shadows so I'm sure I'll just continue to fall in love every time I use it haha
So happy you reviewed this palette. I bought it the day it launched but don't have it yet. I almost decided to cancel my order because while I thought it looked beautiful and had some unique shades, I've heard a bunch of mixed reviews but not from RU-vidrs I really follow wholeheartedly. You haven't steered me wrong yet!
Most of my favorite palettes are from TF. After seeing your review, I want this palette but I know I definitely don't need it. Thanks for doing 2 looks AND a review. So helpful.
the fact that it has all of the other Oldies palettes is the reason that I bought it..(and of course ur amazing review) because I don't have any of those so at least now I will get a chance to try out those Shadows. AWESOMENESS!
Thanks for the thorough review. I can always count on you for that. Others just use a palette once and give their "review". I appreciate that you take your time with the palette before giving your reviews. Thanks again ☺
i just got this palette and i think its worth it because for most of us who do not wear smoky eye look everyday but needed that glam for special occasions this palette just covers all !!!
yay! glad you reviewed this palette( I trust your reveiws over any other RU-vidr), I was worried that I made a mistake buying it because of their sometimes not so good pigment. Your review makes me happy I purchased it (even though I haven't received it yet). I don't own the natural eyes, or natural mattes palette so this is kind of an all in one for me. Great video as always☺
I think this palette is perfect for someone who loves makeup and loves to have fun with it. It's understated and powerful and perfect for professionals.
loved both of the looks and also loved all the effort you have put into testing this product and providing your viewers with quality info to ultimately make their own decision to buy or not buy the product!! you rock Emily!
I use this palette almost exclusively for my eye makeup nowadays and I still love it! Hot and bothered is my go to colour, I can't help but put that in an eye look, it's so gorgeous. I need to try the purple look because i haven't even done it yet.
Thank you for the in depth review. I've kind of gone on strike with Too Faced. I'm sick of the cheap, mass-produced products with the expensive Too Faced name on them. I'm still not going to buy this palette but, if Too Faced picks up their game consistently, I may come around. I would like seeing the "made in the USA" label on their products. Thanks for all you do! 💐💕
I am so happy to see you like this! I purchased this the day it launched I have been questioning my decision as I usually wait to watch some reviews, I'm more excited for it to get here now.
You give the best reviews on RU-vid! I didn't feel the other reviews I watched of this product were actually investigate. Thank you for being thorough and giving an honest review. Also, the other reviews all seemed sponsored or they just wanted to trash-talk a product for more views.
Im so happy you did a review on this palette, my birthday is coming up and I really want this palette. I've seen other RU-vidrs reviews and a few of them were negative, I was getting discouraged to get it. I really trust your reviews and love how detailed they are, I can't wait to buy this for me! 🤗
emilynoel83, awwwwwww. Me too pertty lady. I really do enjoy your videos. Maybe it's because I am older and you are mature in your speaking and not always sayin, "ummm yeah". That starts workin on me after a while. I just can't relate to the younguns nowadays. But then again I am 51. My 3 kids, aged 19- 24 don't even talk like the RU-vidrs their age 😉
This palette is very pretty, but I'm a matte shadow kinda gal. I like adding a little shimmer for a night out or something, otherwise matte all the way. I'll probably pass on this palette, even though I'm a sucker for Too Faced shadows. As always, I love your honest & in-depth review! :)
Love your reviews! They're always so through and never leave me with any questions! That being said, ironically I do have a question, have you ever considered going cruelty free?
Hi Emily! I was wondering what you thought about this palette, and that Lorac pro brunch pastel palette 🎨. I hope you get a chance to review more. Thank you, Emily!
how come you haven't collaborated with any brands yet? I've been watching you for 6 years. You are at over 800 K subs and you haven't done a single collab with any major brands.
Seriously. There's one YT'er who had a collab and I'm like...you really want your name connected with her?! Why not @emilynoel83 Class-act, consistent, honest, professional, talented, GORGEOUS, relatable, et al.
