In this video I review the Worx 8 Amp 10 inch pole saw that I bought at a local hardware store. I had some squirrels getting on my roof and chewing up things, so I needed a way to cut down the branches they were making access with. I was also looking for something that wasn't very expensive, and the Worx WG309 fit the bill. I unbox it, put it together, try it out on different applications, and give my final impressions at the end.

This looks a lot like my old Remington Pole Saw. I will be buying this one. Man, that looks just like my Remington. That Remington would cut through anything as long as that chain was sharp. Great video, buddy. 👍

Don't forget to keep the chain out of the dirt as much as possible to prevent dulling

I recently got the craftsman 25 cm 8.0 amp electric polesaw. I only needed it for trimming a couple of trees in my yard. The saw seems a bit heavy so I definitely won't be climbing up a ladder. Thanks for your video review it really helped.

Cut down a good size tree, worked great. It has a lot of power. Pretty top heavy was the only complaint , would have sent pictures but couldn’t

Bar oil for saw sold separately. Any recommendation?

What pole saw is there that is NOT "unwieldy" when fully extended? BTW, the weight works to your advantage when sawing thicker branches up high. The weight of the saw is the only thing putting pressure on the cut. it's all you have going for you then
@DavidCanMakeThat
@DavidCanMakeThat 11 месяцев назад
Well this one is much more "wieldy". 3 pounds lighter (about 30%) is a big difference at the end of a pole. The ones that don't have a removable chainsaw are almost all that much lighter. amzn.to/3rAW8ft

Thanks for sharing. I just got one but havent cracked the box yet. Have you had to sharpen it yet? If so how did you go about doing it? Thanks again

I haven't used it enough since then to sharpen it, as I have several chainsaws of various kinds. I would just sharpen it with a chainsaw file like I do my others.

What is bar oil? I have had this saw over three years and am needing to use it now. Can the oil used in lawn mowers the same oil?

It's specifically made for chainsaw bars and chains. It can be found in the outdoor tool/chainsaw section of most relevant big box stores. Or at your local hardware store.

Cutting into the ground and then through nails.. you might as well just throw that chain away now.

I try not to baby things when I test them. Keeping them in too favorable of circumstances is unrealistic for the average user. In fact, I basically destroyed the chain on the mini cordless chainsaw I recently reviewed.

Hope u got paid well for this video. The main reason one will buy this tool is to cut tree limbs and you systematically diverted showing cuts close-up! Why? Because the cuts are unsightly and most people would not buy this tool. My take: 1) using the extension pole you can not see where you're cutting (impossible to accurately differentiate among adjacent limbs when you want to cut only one). 2) This tool does a HORRIBLE job on cutting small diameter limbs - it chews them (no clean cut) and thus you may injure the tree (which I did and ended up with deseases on my Magnolia tree) 3) You better have a superman's strength to use it with the pole as it is not easy [Yes you mentioned that on the video!; I also knew/imagined that it would not be easy to use]. Thanks for the commercial dude!
