I just bought the ZipSnip cutting tool on Amazon and i absolutely LOVE it i no longer need to use a utility knife to open stuff up especially the annoying tough plastic clamshell packages that products come in and cardboard boxes are another one of my enemies because i have caut myself a few times with my utility knife so the Worx Zipsnip is a true life saver for me and my all time favorite tool now. The advertising wasn't kidding when it says that the Zipsnip is able to cut anything because I've done just about any material and it chewed through without any trouble.
Thank you for your question. The Worx ZipSnip is designed to handle cutting jobs that are cumbersome with scissors. The maximum thickness of material that the ZipSnip can cut is up to 1/4 inch.

I was hoping to get this for myself at work. I am employed in a cork/rubber flooring business, I hand cut rubber and cork rolls all day, with thicknesses ranging from 0.050 inches to 0.500 inches, and sometimes even thicker. Average rubber thickness I have to cut by hand every day is around 0.236 inches to 0.375 inches. I'm going to say this will probably not work for me. I am looking for something that can handle cutting through thick rubber
Hiya! The 4V Cordless Electric Scissors can cut materials up to 1/4" thick. Your ZipSnip can handle a wide range of materials including paper, plastic packaging, cloth, cardboard, leather, canvas, carpet, wallpaper, wire net, flower stem and much more.
The Worx ZipSnip Cordless Electric Scissors are a handheld tool that handles jobs traditional scissors can't. The rotating blade cuts paper, plastic packaging, cloth, carpet, leather, and more with ease. The self-sharpening blade insures a precise cut every time.
I got mine via Amazon. It broke half way through the first cardboard box I tried it on. Less than 4 minutes. The cutting wheel somehow got on the wrong side of the sharpening blade and it was toast. Don't buy this thing.
