THIS is what i call a Guide. aside from the great editing, the information, and details on things that matter were on point. Some guides only give you half.. like rotations and gear only or Talents and rotation. Hardly anyone covers it all like you did. 5/5
Glad you liked it Pablo ! ye most of them are not complete guides and that's why I made this , why shouldn't I do one as a ret main , and tbh I get so much energy from your kind of comments , thank you so much for cheering me up
Great guide, mate. Super straight forward. I play a holy/ret paladin as an alt, and this was super helpful. Highly recommended guide for newcomers to pally or alt players. 5 stars.
Why are people online all saying that Ret Paladin is so dumb, is it that bad? They said it is far from optimal for raiding and you will have a hard time finding a raid..
you can press all buttons very fast and still do no dmg, i feel like palret so shit dmg compared to other, 4k gs , cap hti exp and stilll always outdamaged by all casters and melee lol
Nice guide. Somehow its sad to see the game turning into something like "miss out 2 gcd and u lose MASSIVE dps".... What ever happend to just play the game and stop min/maxing?!
Thanks you Kvartal78 ! you know most of us are playing classic cause its a casual game and actually you can enjoy playing , it's not something tryhard but you can actually go hard if you wanna be the top in warcraft logs or like rank 1 in pvp , I just mentioned that for ppl who really wanna go deep
Hey yes sorry was busy for some days couldn't answer comments , its Nameplate scrolling combat text and here's a link to my full UI and addons guide ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KKtX48ehPHU.html
Yeshua replied to His discíples: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." 🦁 - John 14:6 📚 "Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near." - Isaiah 55:6 📖
i have a quick question what is better for ICC for a retribution pally. season 8 arena set or 258 tier9 set? im asking because i see that the season 8 stuff is higher ILVL but would like to hear your thoughts
Cool, so you enjoy ret. You're really good at ret. Hey, can you respec to something else for the raid? 😂 and good luck getting into 5mans. They'll only take you if you're the only dps in lfg.
i dont understand expertise, it says 25 then scroll over it, it says expertise rating 124(+15 expertise) reduces chance to be dodged or parried by 6.25%
Hey Omar , blizzard just nerfed engineering therefore I can tell Jewelcrafting and Tailoring are two best main professions that can boost your dps for a high amount in phase 1 , use swordguard embroidary cloak enchant from tailoring and 3 x +32 Strength sockets from jewelcrafting
so i did seal swaping with command and vangaence but tbh vangeance sucks even on bosses totaly useles it not stronger compared to command raw i tested it on a dummy for 15mins each fight with command i did 5k+ and vang i did about 3.8k damage
Im a main healer but i need to go ret for this phase, although i know my way trhough the build and specs you had really good tips i hadnt thought about and will make a difference for sure!!!
what do you mean by not using cds before 5x stacks of seal of corruption? it’s about 10 seconds needed to apply 5x stacks. It means that I start boss fight and press cds only after 10 seconds? I assume its huge lost of dps
your auto attack deals extra 38% weapon damage if your seal is stacked 5 times , according to top ret paladins in warcraft logs you should pop wings when you reach 4-5 stacks otherwise its a HUGE LOSS not the way you think , and in most cases if you're not raiding with tards you kill most bosses under 2 minutes so you can't use cds two times then you better do your best to make the most use of its duration
blue sockets for strength and stamina are useless, cuz every +16 strength will be more healthier, u can calculate it and u will receive much bigger number, and meta gem should be +21 agil +3% to critical dmg. For activation needs every single gem(blue, red and yellow) that means that u can use +10 to all attributes to activate it. Sorry for my bad Eng but that's my oppinion.
Aura mastery is better if you're going to have the highest damage because you have to get 5 points of seal damage from holy tree but if you go for divine sacrifice you no longer can get that extra damage if you're gonna reach divine guardian , if you're gonna do more like a support play and don't switch to other seals than seal of command then I'd say divine guardian build is the best
After seal , melee and judgment damage , consecration is the one that deals the most damage in your details , and this glyph not only makes you press it less often (less mana) but also saves you 2 more globals on other spells than consecration , so it means you'll still have consecration on the ground and you continue doing damage using other abilities , if you think that way you're indirectly increasing its damage by 20% cause it lasts 2 more seconds and also helping your rotation which again means indirectly increasing your overall damage
same as many others here, this is such a great guide. the attention to rotations and macros for that real world play experience feeling makes this so helpful
ret has two bis sets of items depends which are you going for but yeah hit rating is much more important and you can actually use hit rating or expertise food buffs too
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z6o37nAzYyQ.html that's my full UI guide and addons but the one you're looking for is Nameplate scrolling combat text
Don't worry Ret pallys, only another 365 days until we aren't complete garbage last place on dps (Phase 5)😂 (in Raid atleast) It's my alt but i prefer tanking as my main spec as it almost does as much damage as Ret lol. Very fun to play though so much utility and atleast we can still shine in PvP and dungeon AoE cleave. Nice guide bro
excellent guide for sure man! love the information you dropped for us to soak up! I really like the look of your UI set up. your name plates and debuff trackers on top of the mobs specifically. is there a spesific WA or something that you are using for those? Id love to fire that up and tinker around with it myself. thanks again!
Thanks so much Borp , glad you liked the guide . if you're looking for any special addon or a part of my UI here's a link of my full ui guide ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KKtX48ehPHU.html I've also put my plater profile link for you in its description
Bro, this is by far one of the best guides i have seen on YT. You cover everything and the tips at the end are also really good. Even the mouseover macros which i totally forgot about. Tnx for reminding me. :) Thank You for making this. I am leveling a Retri paladin now and im having a lot of fun. Will use some of your tips for sure.
Not sure If I got enough time to create one for protection before prepatch starts but I'll try to make one later , and I've created ret since I'm a ret main but I'll do my best to make one for prot
I've explained everything about my UI in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z6o37nAzYyQ.html it works both in retail and classic wow
@@XretX can't have everything. I'm not going to be topping meters in raids anyways so a party/raid damage reduction is a good way to help out as well. I'm also going divine storm glyph for some more passive healing to help out the healers.
Best guide ever! Thank you so much for the help, I'm a new player and had no idea what I was doing. Thanks to your guide I can now understand how to play Ret Pally. Thank again bro
AMAZING work man keep it up im dropping a sub for sure. I am a prot pally but i love playing my ret for solo stuff so i find all info on it interesting and you covered everything in such detail. good job!
In this video I'm explaining all addons I'm using ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z6o37nAzYyQ.html They both work in retail and classic
Ty this guide was amazing. It was incredibly detailed explained with full information. I play first time retry paladin. Usually i am holy paladin. I just decided to try retry paladin. The rotation i did exactly is explained in video. But despite i have 4gs done 1k dmg. So i guess the problem was my gear. I dont have strength status in my gear. Thank you for spending time to edited and explain it in such a detail. And also thanks for spending time to type macros and timestamps in the description :). I will subscribe.
If there's a holy paladin in your party use judgment of wisdom cause they use judgment of light , if not you gotta use judgment of light if there's no mana issues , if not just keep up with the mana judgment
Crusader Strike has a high prio because of its short cooldown, not just because of the Libram. Very neat guide though, look forward to more content from you!
Glad you liked the guide Vojje ^^ If a spell has shorter cooldown it doesn't mean it should have higher priority , there's no reason to give higher priority to a spell with much lower damage than other ones , exactly like consecration in retail since it does the least damage it should be the last spell you press if you ain't got any other thing ready
@@XretX while I agree with this, I think it’s only true when you find yourself always having something to press. This is currently not the case with Ret paladins, which is why I agree with the OP. I personally have been prioritizing CS over any other spell on single target because when you consider the damage it (including it’s seal hit) does if you cast it on cooldown, it’s higher than any other ability. So my single target rotation is like yours but with CS and judgement swapped.
Honestly I think one of the best guides I ever seen, and I play a lot of games, I love wotlk ret from back in the day, but I never played it, was telling myself if I ever get a chance to go back and do it, I would... so here we are ( I played hunter and spent a pot of time on my TBC twink)
