I cried when George dies, its extremely sad. However , I do think having someone fail during ascension was important. It's supposed to be a big risk to try and become a shadow hunter. If everyone had made it, or some character we had no connection with died, the audience would not fully grasp the seriousness of what ascending mundanes can experience. The only other option to killing George would have been killing Marisol. She was way to bad ass as a warrior not to be chosen by the angel, and a better leader.

See, I would rather be enemies with Jace. Not like full-fledged enemies, more rivals. I think competitions and exchanging snarky remarks with Jace would be more interesting than being best friends with Valentine. Also less scary. With Jace, I can see everything being upfront. With Valentine, you're never sure if or when he'll stab you in the back or scheme to get you turned into a werewolf and tell you to kill yourself. If Valentine couldn't stay true to his parabatai, how could you trust him as just a best friend?

And Cassie just dropped The Last Hours book one of a trillogy, that centers around Will&Tessa and the rest of the clockwork gangs kids, read gotsm first because its got a lot of clarifications in for Anna, Matthew and James too and also for TDA ♡ have fun

Oh god. Thats a hard one. but everyone whose dead was meant to be dead, they're part of the plot- ex livvy dying. So instead of messing with the way things are, I probably would just be friends with either Julian, Ty or Magnus. Our characters go through the the things that they do and that makes them stronger and a better person, be it the loss of someone dear or whatever. Like it says on Cortana- "Steel and Temper"
